Chapter 24 History of Magic is an Excellent Course
There are so many impressive things in student life, but in the entire student life, they are just embellishments.
But what really runs through the entire student life is the courses one after another...
The reason why Andrew could think of such profound things in class was entirely because of the professor above... well, he originally wanted to use the word "old", but in the end he couldn't find a way to describe it after thinking for a long time.
To put it simply, their professor is dead.
This is not a description of a murder, but a description of a scene from a day in the past - the professor is currently a ghost.
And it seems that this professor intends to continue working in this position, and the school has no plans to replace him.
The most important thing is that in terms of teaching quality, this professor teaches...it's so sleep-inducing.
Under the influence of the professor's superb skills in reading textbooks and the dizzying sunshine in late summer, many students who had not had time to concentrate after the summer vacation had politely tried to have an intimate date with the table.
Since no one had been brave enough to try out whether sleeping would result in a penalty, Andrew tried hard to identify the relationships between the characters in the History of Magic textbook.
But unfortunately, this didn't quite work - and the tragic thing was that even his History of Magic textbook was a second-hand copy, still as new as a French weapon from World War II, and there was no fun at all.
After several attempts, he could only use traditional techniques to insert characters into history textbooks.
This is not difficult. First, insert your favorite character. Considering the deadline for submission next month, Andrew decisively inserted Gryffindor as the protagonist. As for how the editor would change it, sorry, he had no idea and did not know the author of the serial.
The timeline issue is also simple: dragon veins, the Moonlight Box, a cellar that can be traveled through, several special star alignments, a dark wizard's curse, a river in a certain valley, and so on. Due to his excellent reading, Andrew has plenty of ways to send Gryffindor to where it will take time.
So this is really fun. It is much easier to find major historical events in orthodox history textbooks than to look through fairy tales.
If there is a clear protagonist, then it is said that Gryffindor is the grandfather who is guiding the situation from behind. If there is no clear protagonist, then it is said that Gryffindor could not bear to see the tragedy, so he concealed his identity and took action.
Then he had a lot of fun - finding interesting events and stuffing them in.
'Be careful, Andrew, the bottom line is that you can't fail History of Magic!'
After convincing himself several times, Andrew successfully came up with an outline for next month's book.
But Andrew, who was so excited, attracted the attention of Kevin next to him, “What happened, did you sneak the magazine in?”
"There's a very interesting beetle in my book, and I'm using a pen to draw its path."
Andrew had already made seventeen or eighteen backup plans to prevent others from trying to read what he was writing.
However, Kevin's answer was something he could never have expected.
"Play with me."
No, you're crazy!
Andrew was a little overwhelmed - this excuse was boring enough, could this lesson be more boring than a beetle?
Well, yes…
"It has flown away," Andrew muttered quietly, "It seems it is bored enough."
"puff…"
Kevin almost couldn't hold back his laughter, but Professor Binns didn't show any intention of looking over. It seemed that as long as the classroom didn't collapse suddenly, he would be able to finish reading the contents of the book firmly and then leave after class.
'This might be an interesting direction for research, but unfortunately I don't have any spare time to do it.'
Andrew shook his head slightly, turned a page in his notebook, and began to organize the relationship diagrams between the main characters and events on the pages that were mainly discussed in this class. This was just a remedial measure to ensure that he passed the class - but with the course being like this, this was the only way he could remedy his grades.
Before Professor Binns finished the get out of class, Andrew tapped the page of paper he had taken notes on with his wand, and after it fell, he inserted it among the pages that were taught in this class, preparing to stick it in when he sorted out the materials over the weekend.
When Professor Binns finished his lecture, Andrew clearly heard a small cheer. He looked at his roommates and found that the tallest one, Bell, had fallen asleep.
Professor Binns, who did not walk like a ghost, left the classroom in a very upright manner, almost walking. If you ignore the professor's translucent body, he would be no different from an old professor who was about to retire.
Therefore, only after they were sure that the professor had left did the students raise their voices, calling out those who needed to be called up and chatting with those who needed to be chatted with.
"I'm going to the library, are you guys coming with me?"
"You didn't have a meeting? Oh, by the way, you passed..."
Hughes, the thinnest boy in Andrew's dormitory, was stunned for a moment, then answered to himself.
"I'm fine, why don't I go check it out... I haven't been to the library yet, how about you?"
"Assessment..."
"Same."
"See you later."
The five people said goodbye to each other, and Andrew and Hughes walked towards the library.
"You seem to be quite interested in History of Magic, Andrew. That's great. It's a pity that Professor Binns doesn't seem to be very good at it."
Careful?
Andrew was too embarrassed to say what he had done, he could only nod in agreement.
"Anyway, I like it very much. History of Magic is really good. My father is a Muggle, but he is very interested in history. He always told me that history will tell us where we came from and how many mistakes we made in the past."
...
That's it, Andrew, a true history lover, decided not to reveal what crazy thing he had done.
Fortunately, there are still topics.
"Oh my god... I dread to imagine how he'll react when he finds out your mother is a wizard and that the magical world really exists."
"I thought he would be devastated, but he wasn't. After being shocked, he felt that many unexplainable historical mysteries could be explained."
Hughes smiled. "But he was disappointed when his mother told him not to reveal the existence of the wizarding world. When he knew I was coming to Hogwarts, he asked me to combine the history of the wizarding world with the history of the Muggle world and to discover those hidden things."
"There is just one thing," Hughes said with a distressed look, "I really don't know how to tell him that the ability of our History of Magic professor is really..."
The adjective at the end was swallowed back, but Andrew himself felt the same way.
"If you don't want to disappoint your family, let me just say that the professor is a true but inarticulate witness of history, and for this professor, most of history is daily life."
"Wow, that's so cool," Hughes' eyes lit up, "This is exactly what he imagined magic to be!"
