Super Bowl Domination
Chapter 1660 Team Atmosphere
Chapter 1660 Team Atmosphere
"Shhh."
"Quiet, keep quiet."
"We cannot expose ourselves."
Hardman was exhausted. He had been trying to control the situation, but these rookies and offseason signings were like untamed wild horses, simply impossible to calm down.
The Kansas City Chiefs' winning streak came to an end, which was less of a direct shock to them and more of a surprise to onlookers.
After all, they had only played four games with the team and hadn't experienced the long journey before. At this moment, they were no different from other bystanders and found it hard to believe that the Kansas City Chiefs had lost. The noisy commotion was hard to calm down.
Hardman urged them to stay and surprise Levi in the parking lot, and they all agreed. As planned, they drove off the field one by one, circled around, and then returned. They found that the parking lot was still full, and all the veteran players' cars were still parked in the same spot.
Suddenly, everything exploded in excitement.
Hardman had to change his plans, turning a surprise for Levi into a surprise for everyone.
They all hid obediently in the parking lot, but they couldn't quiet down at all, whispering and talking amongst themselves, just like a group of young college students.
Wait a minute, these first-year students are young people who haven't graduated from university yet.
Hardman felt powerless.
Hardman had used all his strength but still couldn't control the situation. He was very puzzled as to how Levi could make the entire locker room shut up and concentrate every time he opened his mouth.
Perhaps this is the power of a leader?
Just as I was lost in thought, Bowen dashed out, shouting, "They're here! They're leaving the locker room!"
Bowen sneaks into the building to keep watch and ensure their surprise plan succeeds.
To everyone's surprise, Bowen's announcement didn't quiet down the parking lot; instead, it became even more chaotic.
"I'm coming!"
"I'm so excited!"
"Can we just rush up to the professor?"
"Will the professor reflexively throw a punch at me?"
"Surprise! Surprise!"
The noise was unbearable, and Hardman had a headache.
At one point, Hardman couldn't help but question his existence: Is this normal?
The Kansas City Chiefs are in dire straits, their long undefeated streak has come to an end. Shouldn't they be frustrated, angry, depressed, and sad? Shouldn't they be sharpening their knives, preparing for a counterattack? Or perhaps they're despondent and have lost all will to live?
What exactly is going on here? Something's not right, is it?
But there was no time to think it over carefully now. Hardman hurriedly gathered up the scattered fragments of his thoughts and frantically called out a reminder.
"Shh. Ready. Ready!"
The murmurs finally subsided, but only for less than a second before Diggs jumped out again.
"Are we really not going to get beaten by newbies?"
Then someone nearby blurted out, "You just want that newbie to punch you, right? Perfect."
puff.
Everyone burst into quiet laughter, creating a chaotic scene.
Hardman was about to give another reminder when he heard Hill and Kelsey arguing loudly ahead, and a sense of crisis washed over him.
In an instant, they all shut up, one or two of them grabbing their throats, and there was complete silence.
Diggs pressed himself tightly against the car door, holding his breath and trying his best to suppress any sound, but his eyes, darting around, couldn't contain their excitement, as if he were ready to pounce at any moment. Bowen used the car next to him to hide himself, carefully tucking his hands, feet, and shoulders into the back of the vehicle, spreading his arms out to support himself on the ground, preparing for a 100-meter sprint start.
Thump. Thump, thump, thump!
My heart was beating faster and faster, pounding against my chest, as if it would burst out of my chest at any moment.
Then Bowen realized something, a fatal detail:
Who will give the orders? When will they launch their attack?
Ah, oops.
Just then, Li Wei's familiar voice came from directly in front.
"When we counted to three, they all came out one by one. We weren't planning on playing hide-and-seek."
In an instant, Bowen's blood froze, and he stood frozen in place like an ice sculpture, his mind buzzing.
Hardman's neck stiffened, then slumped down—
He shouldn't be surprised, right? Why would he be surprised? Li Wei is Li Wei. Li Wei always knows everything in the locker room. Li Wei can always see through their thoughts. There's a reason why Li Wei can become the team leader. They can't hide Li Wei's every move.
Looking up, Hardman could see Diggs and Bowen staring at him from different directions, both of them frozen in shock and stunned.
They were all completely bewildered.
Hardman let out a soft breath, stood up from behind the car, and forced a smile that looked more like a grimace, opening his arms like fireworks.
"Hey, newbie, surprise!"
Immediately afterwards, Diggs leaped high into the air and shouted with earth-shattering joy, "Surprise!"
Without waiting for a reaction, Diggs took off running, charging straight at Levi, only realizing a beat too late that something seemed off—
It was chilly in the back.
Bathed in Levi's ambiguous smile, Diggs could almost see Levi's clenched fist, and the hairs on his body stood on end.
With a sudden stop, Diggs regained his composure and turned to look back, only to find his friends slowly and sparsely standing up, each trying to force a smile but unable to hide their nervousness, stammering "surprise" in a disjointed manner—it was a complete disaster.
Diggs stopped, jumping up and down on the spot. "Guys, passion, passion! We need to get our act together!"
"Come on, three, two, one. Surprise!"
Diggs tried to rouse enthusiasm, but his first attempt failed. He tried a second time, this time with a louder voice, but the shouts were still disjointed and the volume varied.
Diggs slumped his shoulders, looking dejected, and turned to Levi, his face a mixture of frustration and sullenness. "Rookie, surprise."
Unexpectedly, no sooner had Diggs finished speaking than a unified and resounding shout rang out from behind, "Surprise!"
Diggs' heart rekindled, and he raised his hands high, looking at Levi with a wide smile and bright, joyful light in his eyes.
Let's fight together!
Then, Hardman finally mustered up his courage and stepped forward. "Rookie, no matter what happens, we'll face it together. Don't forget me."
Diggs: "Yes, yes, count me in."
Bowen also stepped out from the line of cars. "Me too."
one by one.
Diggs grew increasingly excited and agitated. Each time someone stepped forward, he jumped up, expressing his joy and happiness with all his might. His bright eyes looked at Levi, and his gaze and expression clearly said:
Did you see that? Newbie, did you see that? We're all united.
That unyielding and unconcealable sincerity was laid bare before me, a pure and honest heart burning brightly under the setting sun.
