After overcoming countless hardships, they finally obtained the true scriptures and successfully shed their mortal forms at Lingyun Ferry.

However, Pigsy's complaining nature remained unchanged, and he would still mutter a few words from time to time.

Now, both Tang Sanzang and Zhu Bajie have shed their mortal forms and no longer need to eat worldly food.

In this way, they were spared the embarrassing situation of having to beg for alms everywhere in Chechi Kingdom but finding no one to help them.

"Master," Pigsy turned to Tang Sanzang and couldn't help but ask, "Can we still rescue those five hundred monks here?"

Upon hearing this, Tang Sanzang frowned, glared at Zhu Bajie, and shouted, "Don't say another word!" His mind was made up, and he would not allow anyone to sway him.

Tang Sanzang had his own plans upon his return. He not only wanted to save people, but also to use his understanding of Mahayana Buddhism to have another good debate with Lin Nan and get back at him for what he had lost before.

"Let's head to Chechi Imperial City first," Tang Sanzang ordered, and the group quickened their pace. Before long, they arrived at a populated town.

Sun Wukong glanced at Tang Sanzang and asked, "Master, should we disguise ourselves?"

Tang Sanzang paused slightly, his mind drifting back to his past experiences in Chechi Kingdom. Back then, wherever they went, they were almost taken to the authorities simply because they were monks. In the end, they had no choice but to disguise themselves and pretend they weren't monks before they hurriedly left Chechi Kingdom.

Thinking of this, Tang Sanzang pondered for a moment, then sighed and said, "I'd better disguise myself to avoid causing unnecessary trouble."

Sun Wukong nodded repeatedly, fully agreeing with Tang Sanzang's decision. Although Sun Wukong feared nothing, he had to be cautious in Chechi Kingdom. If the people became agitated, he couldn't act rashly and would find himself in a very passive situation. Disguising himself was a good solution.

So everyone began to disguise themselves, shedding their monk's robes. Only then did they feel safe enough to enter the city of Chechi Kingdom.

"Several years have passed since we last met, and Chechi Kingdom seems to have changed even more!" Tang Sanzang exclaimed, looking at everything before him.

Just then, a series of bell sounds reached everyone's ears. They looked up and saw people riding strange two-wheeled carts, their feet pedaling rapidly, making the carts seem like wheels of fire, moving at incredible speed. This scene left everyone dumbfounded.

"These people have no magical powers whatsoever, so how can they drive such a two-wheeled vehicle?" Pigsy asked, his face full of doubt.

"This two-wheeled vehicle doesn't look like a magical artifact, so how can it run?" Sun Wukong was also surprised.

Even though the master and his disciples were all very knowledgeable, they were still greatly surprised to see such a novel sight in the city of Chechi Kingdom.

Looking down, the roads had all been replaced with concrete, and there was no longer anyone carrying cement for construction. Instead, some buildings were under construction in the city, with tall buildings rising from the ground, some dozens of meters high, dazzling the eye.

"Hey everyone, want a ride in a rickshaw?" Suddenly, a strange rickshaw stopped in front of them, and the driver greeted them warmly.

"No, no need." Tang Sanzang and his disciples waved their hands in refusal, while curiously looking around at everything.

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh!" At this moment, another whistle sounded, and everyone involuntarily looked around, trying to find the source of the sound.

"What is that sound?" Tang Sanzang asked, his face full of doubt.

A passerby, seeing this, kindly explained, "That's the sound of a train coming from the train station."

"A train? What is that?" Tang Sanzang became even more curious.

The commoner said with great interest, "It's a long vehicle that's propelled by fire and steam, and it travels on rails at extremely high speeds, covering a thousand miles a day!"

"There are such miraculous things?" Tang Sanzang was taken aback upon hearing this.

Although Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and the others possessed supernatural powers, capable of flying and disappearing at will, they had traveled the entire journey from the Tang Dynasty in the East to the Western Paradise on foot to obtain the Buddhist scriptures. They naturally understood the meaning of traveling a thousand miles in a day for ordinary people. Therefore, they were greatly astonished when they heard about the train's amazing capabilities.

Sun Wukong grasped the crux of the matter and quickly asked, "Where is this train going?"

"We can travel to and from all major cities, including the capital," the commoner replied, a hint of pride in his voice. "If we're going to the capital, it's thousands of miles away, but we can get there in just two or three days!"

These words caused Tang Sanzang and his disciples to exchange glances, each with their own thoughts.

After the people left, they gathered together and began to discuss the matter.

Pigsy spoke first: "Master, why don't we take that 'train' to the capital? That way we can save a month's travel time and avoid wasting it on the road."

Back then, it took them quite a while to leave Chechi Kingdom. Now that they heard that it would only take two or three days by train to travel from this outlying city to the capital, Pigsy naturally wanted to give it a try.

Tang Sanzang pondered for a moment, his heart filled with curiosity, and nodded in agreement: "In that case, let's go and ride that 'train'."

Sun Wukong volunteered, saying, "Let me, Old Sun, go and find out how this train works!" With that, he ran off towards the train station.

Not long after, they heard Sun Wukong calling from afar, "Master, Master, come quick, the train is about to depart!"

Upon hearing this, Tang Sanzang, Zhu Bajie, and the others hurried over and boarded the carriage.

Their luggage and horses took up an entire carriage. Fortunately, they had booked the whole carriage, so they didn't have to worry about being kicked out by the train staff.

"So this is a train!" As soon as Pigsy got on the train, he looked around, touching this and looking at that, his face full of novelty.

Tang Sanzang couldn't resist his curiosity and looked around at the interior of the carriage.

"It's just an ordinary thing, how can it travel a thousand miles a day?" Sun Wukong jumped around, full of curiosity about everything inside the carriage, and at the same time, he also had some doubts in his heart.

Before long, the steam train emitted a loud "whoosh whoosh" sound, its wheels slowly turning as it was propelled by the steam, and the train began to move. Feeling the train sway, Tang Sanzang and his disciples couldn't help but be amazed once again.

Sitting on the train, they looked out the window and saw the scenery rushing past.

Sun Wukong looked out the window and exclaimed, "If this train could go directly to the East, why did we have to travel for more than ten years to get here?"

Upon hearing this, Tang Sanzang felt somewhat bewildered, as if the more than ten years he had spent traveling had been somewhat in vain.

"Years ago, didn't Chechi Kingdom not have these trains?" Pigsy looked around and sighed, "The changes in Chechi over the past few years have been tremendous."

“I remember when we left Chechi, there were no skyscrapers or railway tracks. These things have only appeared in the last few years, like bamboo shoots after a spring rain,” Pigsy continued. “Even when I was Marshal Tianpeng in Heaven, I never heard of such a huge change in the human world.”

Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong nodded silently after hearing what Zhu Bajie said, agreeing with him wholeheartedly.

The changes in Chechi Kingdom far exceeded their imagination and left them deeply shocked.

When Tang Sanzang left Chechi Kingdom and arrived in Tianzhu Kingdom last time, he saw that the people of Tianzhu Kingdom lived in peace and happiness. The scene of that Buddhist kingdom on earth made him feel that Tianzhu Kingdom was no less than Chechi Kingdom.

But now, upon returning to Chechi Kingdom and witnessing the earth-shattering changes that had taken place there, Tang Sanzang was shocked to realize that the current Tianzhu Kingdom was far inferior to Chechi Kingdom.

They boarded a steam train and sped towards the imperial city of Chechi.

Along the way, the train tracks crossed bridges, mountains, basins, and so on. They also saw completely different scenery along the way, which was very different from what they had seen along the way.

During the journey, the train passed through several cities in the Kingdom of Chechi. Without exception, every city was undergoing rapid and significant changes.

And so, the train traveled for three days, and with a loud "whoosh whoosh whoosh" of its whistle, it arrived at the station once again.

The train crew went from carriage to carriage announcing: "Gentlemen, we have arrived at the Imperial City station."

Tang Sanzang and his disciples got off the train. As soon as they got off, they found that the station was packed with people, far exceeding any station they had passed before.

"There are so many people in Chechi Kingdom now." Sun Wukong looked at the scene before him and couldn't help but exclaim, "I have traveled in human kingdoms before, but I have never seen such a lively scene."

Overwhelmed with emotion, Sun Wukong asked Tang Sanzang, "Master, is there such a lively scene in the Tang Dynasty of the East?"

Looking at the bustling scene around the station, Tang Sanzang had to admit, "I've only ever seen such a large crowd before, when the 'Water and Land Dharma Assembly' was held in Chang'an..."

They talked as they walked out of the station. Sun Wukong and his disciples used their transformation magic to blend silently into the crowd, attracting no attention. However, the moment they stepped out of the station, two familiar figures came into view—two young Taoist disciples, standing quietly outside the station.

Upon seeing Tang Sanzang and his disciples appear, the two young Taoist disciples immediately stepped forward and respectfully said, "We are here to await your arrival on the orders of the three national teachers!"

Upon closer inspection, Tang Sanzang and his disciples realized that the two young Taoist boys were not unfamiliar faces, but rather two they had seen when they first arrived in Chechi Kingdom.

"Master, Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong's group have once again set foot on the land of Chechi Kingdom!" In the Nine Extremes Mountain, the Six-Eared Macaque couldn't wait to report to Lin Nan, his eyes gleaming with eager anticipation. "They seem to have returned from the Western Paradise with the true scriptures and intend to show off their skills and debate the Dao in Chechi Kingdom again!"

The Six-Eared Macaque enthusiastically suggested, "Master, should I go and deal with them?"

Upon hearing this, Lin Nan remained calm, showing no surprise whatsoever. The Six-Eared Macaque was exceptionally gifted and possessed great supernatural powers, having always been fully aware of the movements of Tang Sanzang and his disciples. Therefore, Lin Nan knew about their arrival in Chechi Kingdom the moment they stepped into the kingdom.

However, Lin Nan's cultivation was unfathomable, so how could he not know all this? He shook his head and refused the Six-Eared Macaque's request.

"Now that Tang Sanzang has obtained the Buddhist scriptures, he must have gained new insights and wish to demonstrate his debating skills in Chechi Kingdom," Lin Nan said slowly. "In that case, I will personally step forward and debate with him to fulfill his wish."

As he spoke, Lin Nan's gaze pierced through layers of space, as if he could see Tang Sanzang and his disciples directly in the imperial city of Chechi Kingdom.

“However, if they are defeated this time, it won’t be so easy for them to leave Chechi Kingdom.” Lin Nan’s lips curled into a meaningful smile. “At the very least, they will have to stay in Chechi Kingdom for a few more years.”

Inside the capital of Chechi Kingdom, Tang Sanzang and his disciples were welcomed into the city by the two Taoist boys and went straight to the Sanqing Temple. This was the Sanqing Temple where Sun Wukong and Zhu Bajie had once sneaked in and stolen offerings. Now, revisiting this place, they couldn't help but feel a unique sense of emotion.

What moved them even more was that they met the three national advisors of Chechi Kingdom—Tiger Power Immortal, Deer Power Immortal, and Sheep Power Immortal—once again here.

"This humble monk Xuanzang greets the three national teachers." Tang Sanzang clasped his hands together and bowed respectfully.

Tiger Power Immortal laughed and said, "Master Xuanzang, it's been a long time. The last time we parted was only for a brief meeting on Lion Camel Ridge."

Mentioning Lion Camel Ridge, the expressions of Tang Sanzang and his disciples became somewhat subtle. On that Lion Camel Ridge, Buddha and several bodhisattvas had personally visited the site, only to leave in disgrace. This matter had become a thorn in their side, and they were unwilling to discuss it further.

Tang Sanzang quickly chanted a Buddhist prayer to calm his mind: "Amitabha."

Tiger Power Immortal didn't care and asked directly, "Has this return been successful in obtaining the true scriptures?" In fact, even without asking, Tiger Power Immortal already knew the answer in his heart. After all, Tang Sanzang and his disciples had traveled light when they left, but now that they had returned, the packages on their carrying poles had become square, clearly indicating that they had brought back the "scriptures" from the Western Paradise.

"I have retrieved the scriptures and am just passing through this place," Tang Sanzang replied calmly, not worried that the Buddhist scriptures he had retrieved would encounter any misfortune in Chechi Kingdom. After all, he trusted the "character" of the people of Chechi Kingdom.

Even though there are five hundred monks working day and night here, there are reasons for it. Tang Sanzang and his disciples are just passing through, so they don't need to worry about these things.

"Oh." Tiger Power Immortal offered a thoughtful suggestion, "If you are only passing through Chechi Kingdom, you can take the east-west train and go directly to the eastern border of Chechi Kingdom."

“That’s right, this will save a lot of time,” Lu Li Da Xian interjected. “If we don’t walk, given the vastness of Chechi Kingdom, it would take at least two or three months.”

"No, this humble monk is not in a hurry to leave Chechi Kingdom." Tang Sanzang shook his head and stated his purpose, "This humble monk wishes to see the Grand Preceptor again!" (End of this chapter)
