Chapter 13 Brothers, I suspect I've time-traveled.

Brothers, I suspect I've traveled through time.

On a forum of a well-known gaming platform, a post by a moderately famous game reviewer not only went viral in China, but was also translated and reposted on foreign websites. In just two days, a series of foreign media outlets reprinted the post and added even more outrageous content.

Some say China is collaborating with aliens to unify the world; others say China is secretly conducting human experiments, locking people's brains into the internet; and still others make ridiculous claims like, "Shocking! China is planning a Matrix! Is it moral decay or a lack of humanity?"

No matter how idiotic the overseas comments are, the popularity of this post is undeniable. Even Fang Xianyu took a break from his work to read it.

"Brothers, I suspect I've really time-traveled."

"Here's what happened. As a game reviewer who makes a living from this, I've reviewed all sorts of bizarre games, from those from major studios to those from individual studios. When I saw a game advertisement on an ordinary day that claimed to be 'absolutely realistic,' 'the world's most advanced virtual reality technology,' and 'crushing the major studios,' which was more outrageous than aliens visiting Earth, I didn't believe it."

"Although the three major game companies are known for their demanding grind and high spending, at least they have the scale to back them up. Their R&D and testing are top-notch. What can a small, unknown game company like yours possibly produce? Don't even mention that your game engine can outperform the three major companies. If you can even innovate your storyline and gameplay, that would be enough to outperform them!"

"But! Brothers, but! This 'Otherworldly Network Technology Company' is really daring to overturn the table! They really dare!"
"Look, this is real footage (video screenshot)."

"High definition, no Photoshop, isn't it incredibly realistic?"
"Some classmates said, 'So what if it's real? It looks just like that. Not only the Third Factory, but any of the oligarchs overseas can achieve this level.'"

"That's right, you're all right, but look at this (screenshot from the straw fish game)."

"This outrageously ugly 'artwork' was made by a player, and I'm certain that even the most outrageous game model database wouldn't contain something like this!"
"If you think this is a coincidence, then take a look at this (screenshot of more than twenty straw fish)."

"These were all created by me and other players. Not only are they all different, but the details of each one are also different. I also recorded the creation process, which can be found in my latest video. The whole process is not about compositing or loading, but about creating them by hand, just like in real life!"

"Friends who haven't played virtual reality games might not understand what this means. Simply put, it means a massive amount of data that current technology can't handle! And through my experiments and those of several beta testers, we've found that most real-world behaviors and logic can be perfectly replicated here! Including the logic of physics and chemistry in the real world!"

"Look everyone, this is the black powder we handcrafted called 'Watt' under the guidance of the legendary book about the F-family gunpowder factory published in X9 (image). This is its explosion effect (image). I've also included the handcrafting video and explosion experiment in my latest video. Of course, you might ask why we call it 'Watt'. It's mainly because we initially wanted to craft a steam engine…" Although we didn't manage to create a steam engine, our handcrafted generator project failed, and even our light bulb experiment failed (to emphasize, the failure of the light bulb experiment had nothing to do with my personal skills; it was mainly due to the lack of a tungsten filament), the success of the black powder also signifies the realism of this game's logic—you can create anything you can create in reality. Furthermore, since this is a cultivation world, we can boldly imagine: things you can't do in reality can be done here! Like flying!

"Of course, you can fly in other games, but I'd like to ask you all, have you ever played a game where you can feel the wind blowing in your face while flying in the air? I have to mention a game that, compared to another one, has a ridiculously absurd design where you can breathe in space. But in this game, we spent a fortune buying flying talismans, levitation talismans, and other talismans, and with the generous contribution of [Pig Charge], currently the top-ranked player on the leaderboard, we conducted an experiment. Approximately for every 1000 meters of altitude gained, the temperature drops by about 5°C. However, since we only flew to a maximum of over 5000 meters, this data isn't guaranteed to be entirely accurate. But after the experiment, our subject, [Pig Charge], successfully caught a cold, and she provided her personal experience—without adjusting her five senses data, the feeling of catching a cold is exactly the same as in real life!"
"what does that mean!?

"I dare not say it, but I'm sure everyone who has read this far has noticed something, but Er Gou, I really dare not say it!"
"Therefore, I have reason to believe that we must have traveled through time!"
"However, the specifics are something Guo Jia's father should consider. As for me personally... is there even a question?! Time travel! Cultivation! And the ability to come back anytime to drink soda! Who can resist that? Anyway, no matter what you think, I'm locking this game in! Even if the sky falls, Dad will hold it up!"

"Of course, as a veteran game reviewer, Er Gou still has many suggestions and complaints about this game. For example, the tutorial is practically non-existent and incredibly bad! Another issue is the lack of timely feedback. Although there is an experience bar, overall, 'Ten Continents Chronicles' is also a leveling-up game, but the cultivation in this game really depends on your own efforts—that is to say, the random cultivation method given by the sect leader at the beginning has to be cultivated by yourself. Otherwise, no matter how high you level up, you can only be a noob with a huge mana bar but only able to use fixed skills! However, in a sense, this also reflects that we seem to have indeed traveled through time (laughs)."

"..."

After reading the entire post, Fang Xianyu's feelings were very complicated.

Although she knew that such a realistic "game world" and drastically different "technology" would inevitably attract criticism and even official attention, she really didn't expect to be questioned on the very first day of the server launch.

We really can't treat everyone like fools...

Fang Xianyu sighed and once again released the blocked games and forums through special means (system energy).

Since this post appeared and went viral globally, the game "Ten Continents Chronicles" has been banned multiple times, and even the forum and Wang Ergou's posts have been deleted many times. Fortunately, Fang Xianyu kept a close eye on things and took action, otherwise her game's closed beta test would probably have been canceled on the first day.

Meanwhile, Fang Xianyu looked at the constant stream of private messages flashing in the background of his official game account and fell into hesitation and struggle.
