The brown-handed man said, "I don't seem to need to ask why."

“You think there’s no need to ask, and I don’t need to answer,” Grayhand said. “But I was serious when I said that.”

“I know, and I believe you’re serious,” the brown-handed man said. “Then can you talk about the general issues you were just thinking about?”

Grayhand said, "Okay, but what I'm about to say might be a bit unrealistic."

The brown-handed man said, "Are you still being so careful with your words at a time like this? So what if you're out of touch with reality? We're not even sure what state we're in right now. I don't even know if I'm in the 'real' world anymore, so what makes you worry about being out of touch with reality in front of me?"

The gray-handed man said, "That's true."

“Of course I’m not worried,” said the gray-handed man. “It feels really good to just chat with you like this. As for what state we’re in, so what? Why should I care?”

The brown-handed man smiled and said, "This is truly comfortable."

Grayhand said, "Yes. What you said is somewhat related to that general issue I suddenly wanted to bring up."

"What's the relationship?" Grayhand asked.

“Let me tell you about that universal problem I’ve been thinking about,” the Brown-Handed Man said. “You’ll probably understand what the relationship is once I tell you.”

The gray-handed man said, "I wasn't referring to your situation just now. I just thought of it based on what you said earlier."

“I know,” said the brown-handed man. “Go ahead and speak; there’s no need to hold back.”

“Sometimes people are just making themselves uncomfortable by obsessing over persuading others,” Grayhand laughed.

"Is this it?" the brown-handed man asked.

“Yes,” said the gray-handed man. “I’ll say it again, when I said I was obsessed with persuading others, I wasn’t referring to what you were trying to do to persuade me.”
