Chapter 7189 Counterpoint

Chapter 7189 (Seven Thousand One Hundred and Eighty-Nine) A Counterpoint

The gray-handed man laughed and said, "Isn't this a lot easier for me? I don't feel like I'm 'fixed'?"

"Why does this sound so much like what you just said?" the brown-handed man asked.

"I only said that because I remembered what I said earlier," said the gray-handed man.

The brown-handed man asked, "Do I need to answer?"

The gray-handed man said, "Yes, we need to."

"When you asked that question, were you expecting an answer from me?" the brown-handed man asked.

“No,” the gray-handed man said.

"Why are you saying you need it now? Have you changed your mind?" the brown-handed man asked.

"You could say I changed my tune," the gray-handed man laughed.

"Why did you change your tune?" the brown-handed man asked.

The gray-handed man laughed and said, "You asked me, didn't you?"

"You changed your mind just because I asked you?" the brown-handed man laughed.

The gray-handed man said, "You asked me if I needed your answer, and I naturally said yes."

The brown-handed man said, "Why didn't you just say naturally that you didn't need it?"

The gray-handed man chuckled, "If you said you didn't need it, could you say it so naturally?"

"It should be possible," the brown-handed man said with a smile.

The gray-handed man said, "Okay? Then you can just say it yourself."

"Why do I have to say it myself?" the brown-handed man asked.

The gray-handed man laughed and said, "You should be able to speak quite naturally, so you can speak then."

“I’m the one asking you a question, so what am I supposed to say?” the brown-handed man asked.

“Add it to the end,” the gray-handed man replied. “How do you add it to the end? You do it once,” the brown-handed man said.

"So it's my turn to speak again?" Grayhand asked.

“It means you should think of yourself as me, and say it, like adding it at the end,” the brown-handed man said.

"You think of me as you?" the gray-handed man said. "Then I won't ask that question."

The brown-handed man laughed and said, "Hey, just pretend you're the one asking that question. I want to hear how you're going to add it at the end."

The gray-handed man laughed and said, "Alright, I'll pretend you're the one who's going to ask that question."

“Speak,” said the brown-handed man.

“I’ll say it like this, listen,” said the gray-handed man. “Do I need to answer? No, right? Yes, no.”

The brown-handed man said, "You're answering your own question like that."

Grayhand said, "So what if it's a bit like asking and answering myself? It's not like I was really asking and answering myself. After all, I did ask the other person a question."

The brown-handed man said, "It sounds like you're asking the other person a question, but you're speaking incredibly fast! Before the other person can even react, you've already answered for them. If the other person says anything more, it sounds like you're contradicting them. You've already said you don't need it, are you going to argue that you do need it?"

The gray-handed man laughed and said, "Then let's see if this so-called dissenting voice needs to be sung."

The brown-handed man said, "If we need to sing, will we really sing?"

“There’s nothing wrong with singing live,” Grayhand said.

“If we disagree on this issue, then we really need the other party to answer,” the brown-handed man laughed.

Grayhand said, "It's just that I insist on hearing the other person's answer, so I just contradict them. In my opinion, expressing the need to hear the other person's answer by contradicting them seems to add a bit of fun."

The brown-handed man chuckled, "Really? It would certainly be more amusing if you were the one contradicting me. I tell you I don't need it, and you immediately reply, 'I do need it!'"

“It’s not just those two words,” the gray-handed man said.

"What else do you want to say?" the brown-handed man asked.

The gray-handed man laughed, "You also have to say, 'I need your answer! Answer it!'"
