"How do you feel?" the gray-handed man asked.

“Since it’s your feeling, you don’t need to worry,” said the gray-handed man.

"Why don't I have to worry about my own feelings?" the brown-handed man asked.

"It's just your own feeling, isn't that obvious enough?" Grayhand said.

The brown-handed man said, "But I don't know if you feel the same way I do. In fact, you might even change what you're going to say to something more 'sharp'."

"Sharp?" the gray-handed man asked.

“It’s like a sharp sword,” the brown-handed man said. “Piercing right through?” the gray-handed man asked with a smile.

"That's roughly the idea," said the brown-handed man.

Grayhand said, "Did you think of an even 'sharper' way of putting it?"
“Yes,” the brown-handed man laughed.

"Why don't you tell me this 'sharper' way of putting it first?" the gray-handed man asked.

"What are you trying to do by listening to this? You're not planning to wait until I tell you, then modify my version of events to make it even 'sharper' and give it back to me, are you?" the brown-handed man asked.

“Of course not, there’s no reason for you to think that way,” said Grayhand. “Tell me your more ‘sharper’ claim.”

"What will you do when you hear that?" the brown-handed man asked.

“Tell me, and then you’ll see how I react,” said the gray-handed man.

“I just said, ‘There’s a sense of haste.’ If we were to use ‘sharp’ to describe it, we could say ‘perfunctory.’ It just has a sense of perfunctoriness.” Good thing you didn’t say that,” the brown-handed man laughed.

The gray-handed man said, "That's not what I meant at all."

"Do you think 'perfunctory' is 'sharper' than 'hasty'?" the brown-handed man asked.
