Chapter 67 Hidden Dragon in the Cold Pool

Chapter 67 Hidden Dragon in the Cold Pool
The cave was pitch black, and the light from the spirit stones could only illuminate a small part of the space in front of us.

thump.

A pebble was accidentally kicked, and the faint sound reached Ning Fusang's ears. She suddenly said, "Don't move."

Everyone stopped, confused.

Ning Fusang extended two fingers, made a few strokes in the air, and silently recited incantations. A fire snake stretched out along the ground.

Looking at this scene, Zheng Xiaohui thought to herself, "This seems to be the Fire Spirit Spell of the Library."

She had seen this low-level fire spell before when she went to the library to learn the Cleansing Technique. The Fire Spirit Spell was not very offensive and was practically useless except for its ability to illuminate a wide area. She tried to learn it twice but failed and gave up.

boom!
The firelight, like a straight line, illuminated the path ahead.

Everyone shuddered, a sense of dread creeping up their backs. Zhi Xiaocao touched her arm, which was covered in goosebumps.

What a narrow stone bridge!
It turns out they had been walking on such a narrow suspended stone bridge the whole time; they hadn't even seen it.

There are no railings on either side. If you take even the slightest misstep, or if someone bumps into you from behind, you will inevitably fall without any protection.

You should know that they don't have any spiritual power in their bodies. If they fall from such a height, they will probably be smashed into a pile of mud.

The light of the fire serpent dimmed, and darkness returned to the area ahead.

Everyone's legs trembled, and they dared not move.

Zhi Xiaocao reached into her purse, took out two spirit stones, and combined them with the spirit stones in her hand to make the light brighter, so that she wouldn't fall down because she couldn't see the way.

"Did you feel a chill?" Shi Zhouyun asked.

Having just been startled, a chill ran through them, and no one seemed to notice anything amiss. But after Shi Zhouyun mentioned it, Zheng Xiaohui realized that it was indeed a bit cold.

“Below is a frigid pool,” Ning Fusang said.

With her senses heightened, she heard the faint sound of pebbles falling into the water, which is why she used the Fire Spirit Spell to examine her surroundings.

"This stone bridge is so narrow and long, it's making me feel really uneasy. Let's hurry over there, who knows if there are any monsters underneath." Zheng Xiaohui muttered, not wanting to stay on the bridge any longer; she felt very unsafe here.

Ning Fusang closed her eyes and sensed the cold, astringent sound of water. When her divine sense tried to probe into the icy pool, it was blocked by a layer of hazy, cold mist.

What lies hidden in the icy pool?
Ning Fusang couldn't detect anything, but she had a strong intuition that a demonic beast lurked beneath. Because the water in the icy pool was moving.

Was it the pebble that startled it, or the light of the fire serpent?

Before the others could sense the danger, Ning Fusang said, "Zheng Xiaohui's concerns are not unfounded. Let's go to the other side first."

Despite being affirmed, Zheng Xiaohui did not feel happy. Fear of the unknown weighed on her mind, and she began to fantasize. Her unease along the way made her heart pound with every slight sound.

"Why is this bridge so long? It seems like it will never end," she muttered.

"It's because you're too tense," Shi Zhouyun, who was closest to her, suddenly spoke up, pointing with his finger. "Look, it's only this short a road."

He strode to the end, where a circular stone platform stood. Shi Zhouyun turned around, the light of the spirit stone shining at his feet. Zheng Xiaohui breathed a sigh of relief and quickly walked over.

Just then, Zhi Xiaocao cried out in alarm, "One of my spirit stones fell down!"

Zheng Xiaohui frowned, wanting to curse, when she was bumped by someone. Zhi Xiaocao braced herself against her back, and the two of them fell to the ground together.

"Zhi Xiaocao! Get up right now!" Zheng Xiaohui shouted angrily, her face pressed against the ground and inhaling a large mouthful of ash.

boom!
The cave shook violently. Zhi Xiaocao had just gotten up when the shaking caused her to fall back down, and Zheng Xiaohui almost coughed up a mouthful of blood.

With a cold face, she shoved Zhi Xiaocao aside. The intense sense of loss made him instinctively reach out and grab Shi Zhouyun's foot. "Why did Senior Sister Ning push me?" Zhi Xiaocao hadn't tripped over Zheng Xiaohui himself; he clearly remembered a hand pushing him from behind.

Behind him was Ning Fusang.

Wow!

The sound of rushing water, accompanied by a clear, eerie roar, echoed throughout the cave. Zheng Xiaohui's face turned pale instantly.

"What happened?" Zhi Xiaocao asked, bewildered.

Li Yeshan had already lit the candlesticks. The light shone out, and they saw a giant black python coiled on the stone bridge. Its tail was hanging down to the bottom of the cliff, straight and thick, and they had no idea how long it was!

"What a huge python..." Zhi Xiaocao swallowed hard.

He had never seen such a large snake before.

Li Yeshan narrowed his eyes and said, "No, this is not a python."

"If it's not a python, then what is it?" Zhi Xiaocao looked at its tail, which was as thick as a water bucket, strong and powerful, like a tree growing out from the bottom of a cliff.

Shi Zhouyun noticed something unusual: "It has claws!"

"It's a dragon!"

"Jiao!"

Li Yeshan and Zheng Xiaohui spoke at the same time, somewhat incredulous.

They encountered a dragon!

Among the demonic beasts, dragons are extremely difficult to deal with because their scales are very hard, and the Xuan Tie sword cannot penetrate them at all!

The stone bridge crumbled inch by inch under the dragon's coils, and in the blink of an eye, Ning Fusang found himself with nowhere to go.

Zheng Xiaohui's face was paler than a corpse: "Senior Sister Ning didn't come. She can leave the cave, so what do we do?"

It's no wonder Zheng Xiaohui had such thoughts; the black dragon was simply too big, giving off a strong sense of oppression.

Shi Zhouyun glanced behind him: "There's a road. Shall we go in?"

They have no spiritual power; if they encounter danger, they will only face death.

But the black dragon was so oppressive, and the fear of death loomed over her. Zheng Xiaohui almost cried as she said, "Anyway, I don't want to stay here!"

She picked up the black iron sword and stepped into the stone path.

Shi Zhouyun thought for a moment: "Perhaps there is another exit ahead."

The bridge is broken; they have no way back.

Li Yeshan remained silent for a long time, then pulled Zhi Xiaocao away.

Roar!
A deafening roar rang out behind Li Yeshan. He turned around and could only see part of the dragon's body, its black scales gleaming with a cold light. He could almost feel the muscles writhing beneath those scales.

Li Yeshan didn't know how to describe the shock. The falling rocks blocked the passage, and he could no longer see the dragon's figure. He could only hear the loud rumbling and the sound of stones colliding with each other.

After everyone had left, Ning Fusang slowly raised her lips, drew her sharp Fish-Hidden Sword, and with a flick of her toe, stabbed it toward the head of the Black Dragon.

Her aura was no longer at the third level, but at the ninth level!
However, Ning Fusang still dared not be careless, because this dragon was a ninth-order demon beast!
