The surname Chang is a rare surname. It is derived from the surname Guan which begins with the character Chang. It can be considered a surname with some background. Only those who are not officials use the surname Chang. [Chang Yufeng] is an orphan without father or mother, so naturally he has no luck in becoming an official.

Chang Yufeng has lived in an orphanage for nine years. No one loves him and he is very withdrawn. The aunt who takes care of him has suffered a lot from him and is a little afraid of him.

Even everyone was a little afraid of him. He was the little devil of this orphanage, and being alone was the norm for being a devil.

Fortunately, there was a girl, Lin'er, who was willing to talk to him.

I don’t know if it’s because the girl is too naive or if there’s some magical attraction at work, but even though Chang Yufeng is reluctant to be friends with her, he still ends up being alone.

The 9-year-old boy grew up in an orphanage. He was naughty and mischievous, always disobeying the orphanage's rules. He always had fights with the aunts who took care of him. After the fight, he showed his red and swollen face to the other poor little kids and jumped onto the dining table to boast about his achievements.

"Look, this is the hit from Aunt Wang, and there's also a slap from me on her face! Isn't that awesome?!" This little devil is always like this, showing off his useless "achievements".

The other poor kids looked at each other with their watery eyes, not knowing what to say. Lin'er, wearing a pink bow, whispered in a sweet voice, "Brother Yufeng, you shouldn't be like this!"

Her cute big eyes stared at Chang Yufeng with a little anger. Her fair and tender face with dimpled cheeks was also playful and cute. Yufeng was stunned for a while. As usual, Lin'er would privately say that he was wrong, but now with so many people around, Lin'er rushed over angrily, making Chang Yufeng jump off the dining table in anger.

This guy! He is showing off now!

No one can criticize him now!
He grabbed her by her little bow and her hair.

"Say it again!" This terrible little devil is always like this. He looks ashamed and angry after being exposed and accused, so cruel and terrifying.

Lin'er felt so much pain from being pinched that she wanted to say something.

But she could only slap Chang Yufeng gently with her small hands while shedding tears. Chang Yufeng stared at everyone at the table and warned them as if he was giving them a lecture, "What I did is right! Who dares to say I'm wrong!" After that, he forcefully pulled off the bow tie, held it high in his hand, and said, "This is the outcome!"

As Lin'er cried, Yu Feng proudly put the bow into his pocket as a trophy. However, there were still some hairs left on the bow. He impatiently cleaned the hair one by one, pretending not to hear the noise, crying and chaos around him. As long as he had this trophy, any little guy who dared to talk too much would be taken out and shown to everyone!

"Snapped"!
Just when Yu Feng was still feeling smug, a burning pain came from his face.

"You little beast!"

It was the deputy dean, the short old woman. She angrily swung her calloused hand and slapped Yu Feng in the face again.

Yu Feng was about to come back to his senses when he heard the crying behind him getting louder and louder, and even choking coughs. The coughs became louder and louder, like a rapid breathing that made it hard to catch a breath.

He turned around and saw the little girl coughing violently, with blood faintly visible in her mouth and blood flowing slowly on her forehead. There were hideous bloodstains where her hair was missing, where there used to be a beautiful bow, a pink bow.

The vice president hurriedly passed by Yu Feng, picked up the little girl who was coughing non-stop, and rushed out. The poor little ones followed him out. They saw the policeman from the security department was so anxious that his shoes fell off while he was running, and he ran out barefoot. They saw the nurse from the infirmary with tears in her eyes, and she patted the little girl's chest, and the cough sounded like knocking on the hearts of all the adults.

They saw the aunts waiting at the door as anxiously as they were. The poor little kids didn't know what was going on. Maybe the little sister had a cold and would only cough if she had a cold.

Their little eyes were opened wide as they stared at the door where no one was anymore. There were pedestrians passing by the slightly rusty door, and they were also in a hurry.

But they were not as funny as the police uncle from the security department who lost a shoe while running. The poor little guys were all watching from the railing, except Chang Yufeng.

His ears were buzzing. He had been standing there since the chaotic situation began. He knew what had just happened. He secretly went to the hospital not far away. Occasionally he saw the little girl lying there quietly with a tube on her nose. How ugly it looked.

She was pale, she was asleep, but it seemed like she would never wake up. Yu Feng trembled as he put the bow into his pocket, with blood stains on his hair. His eyes were dull, as if he was mechanically completing this unfinished action.

He was scared for the first time. He didn't understand why people were so fragile, and why Lin'er was so fragile.

There was a loud "dong" sound, and Yu Feng looked in the direction where the sound came from! A huge red door stood in the darkness, and all people and things shrank into this strange red door in an instant. The loud "dong", "dong", "dong" sounds accompanied by the huge tremor of the red door made Yu Feng's heart beat wildly.

He walked to the door carefully, swallowed, and opened the door gently. "Swish!" a huge arm accurately grabbed his neck and lifted his small body up.

He was out of breath. The owner of the calloused hand was the old lady who served as the deputy director. Her wrinkled face glared at him with bloodshot eyes and gritted her teeth viciously, "Why are you doing this!!! Why!!!"

"I, grandma, I..." Yu Feng was out of breath, but he didn't know what to say. Should he say that he did it because he wanted to play, or that he didn't mean it?
Those were all excuses that had been used. The last time was when the vase in the yard was broken, and the time before that was when the good dog in the yard was beaten to a crippling state. These reasons had all been used, and no one would believe them anymore.

He struggled but became weaker and weaker. The old lady's grip became tighter and tighter.

His fear came not only from the strong feeling of suffocation, but also from his heart.

"Huh..." Chang Yufeng was awakened by the shock. He took a deep breath and touched his neck. Fortunately, it was just a dream.

He lay down again, but could not fall asleep.

Lin'er had already entered the hospital, and the vice president didn't say anything else to him, but he felt a little uneasy, inexplicably uneasy. That feeling of fear was like an abyss that was trying to pull his heart out of his body.

"Hey, Dean, please stop crying."

Some tiny sounds were heard, Yu Feng sat up and walked gently to the door.

He saw the tall and thin aunt and the slightly plump grandma who was the deputy director at the door. The thin aunt comforted the deputy director and patted her back gently. "This was a complete accident. The adoptive parents should understand." The grandma continued to cry. After a while, she choked up and replied, "Lin'er is a brave and cute child. She was abandoned after she got this disease. She is really miserable! Woo woo woo"

Her crying accompanied by her withered voice made Yu Feng's heart tremble. He had never seen the deputy director cry like this before. She always looked kind and she never looked so haggard even when he was in trouble.

"This child is really unlucky, alas." Auntie Thin didn't know what to say, but she continued to speak forcefully, "Chang Yufeng, that brat, is so naughty. He really should be beaten up so that he will remember this lesson!"

Hearing this, Yu Feng became furious and clenched his fists. It was his fault in the first place and he shouldn't be angry. But if she was suffering, wouldn't he be suffering too?
All the children here are abandoned "stinky kids"? Am I not pitiful?
"Yufeng is so pitiful. The reason he became like this is because he has no father or mother." The old lady wiped her tears, but they still kept flowing. Yufeng's fist gradually melted. He leaned against the wall, and something hot flowed out of his eyes. It must be the sand that blinded him.

He would not cry. His parents abandoned him without any information and left him to fend for himself on the street. He never cried before. It must be sand in his eyes. He wiped away the tears with his backhand and continued to listen.

"It was originally agreed that Lin'er's adoptive parents would come this week to take her away, but given Lin'er's current condition, how can someone who wants to adopt her feel at ease?"

The old lady who was the deputy director was still sobbing, but she was obviously feeling much better. "She will be transferred to a big hospital for treatment at 8 o'clock today. My dear girl, Lin'er, if anything happens, I'm scared! Woo woo woo!"

The deputy director couldn't hold back her tears anymore, tears rolled down her wrinkled face. Through the crack in the door, Yu Feng saw an old woman sitting under the white light, crying, with her back hunched. Her figure was so tall that he had never seen her before.

They stopped talking. The thin aunt patted the old lady's back gently, looked at the dim street, shook her head and sighed.

Chang Yufeng let out a long breath, his heart felt unusually heavy. An idea flashed through his mind. After a moment of hesitation, he gritted his teeth and ran to the window and gently opened it. He slid down the water pipe, which he often did.

He climbed over the low wall and ran across two streets. He imagined the anxious look of the security police uncle running with one shoe, and he also imagined the painful look of Lin'er coughing violently.

He came to the hospital, reported his name, and was not allowed to visit. He sat lost in a chair in the hospital, his head shrunk in disappointment. He touched the things in his pocket and felt a weight dropped in his heart.

Why is this?

Why do you have to do this!!
Why should I do this...

He didn't know what he should do. He was confused and helpless. He wanted to make amends, but he didn't know what he should do to get rid of the heavy stone pressing on his heart. This stone had been there for a long time, but had never faded.

He curled up.

He felt unprecedentedly tired, and his memories began to appear in his mind one after another. He was laughed at by the children passing by on their way to school, kicked by the adults outside, who shouted at him to get out and called him a dead orphan, and chased by wild dogs outside.

He put up a stubborn resistance and was covered with wounds. After getting the rabies vaccine, the deputy director scolded him while applying medicine to him. He gritted his teeth stubbornly and laughed at the dogs for limping. He was frightened by the poor little ones in the orphanage. When he was exposed by [Lin'er], he was so angry that he tore her hair off and snatched the bow, the small pink bow.

Lin'er's violent coughing, the barking of wild dogs, and the laughter of adults and children appeared in his mind in a distant and distant way. He felt drowsy and gradually fell asleep.

"Long Feather Maple"

who?
"Long Feather Maple"

who are you?
He was dazed and heard someone calling him, but the voice was very soft and there was no response. He wanted to open his eyes, but he couldn't do it!

Is it that kind of dream again?

Chang Yufeng saw his body appear. His body, which was originally covered with starlight, began to slowly spread to the whole body. He wanted to escape but he could not move like a piece of wood. He wanted to scream but no sound came out. Gradually, he disappeared into the darkness, silently.

He didn't know that around the bench where he was sleeping, some slight green magic was fluctuating and green light was emerging. The bored nurse saw a green light flickering around him and thought it was some toy she had never seen before, so she buried her head in recording.

Little did she know that it wasn't a toy, but a real magic circle activated around him.

Green magic patterns fluctuated around him, making a low buzzing sound. Violent banging sounds came from the vice-president's old-fashioned safe. "Bang", "Bang", "Bang". A green jade pendant flew out of the safe towards Chang Yufeng, drawing a green light in the night sky.

A huge magic circle appeared silently on the bench where Chang Yufeng was sleeping. The magic circle sank down and swallowed Chang Yufeng bit by bit. After a while, the hospital returned to peace. A patient saw a beam of light passing through the sky. He chased the green light and came downstairs, but nothing happened when he arrived.

Everything was surprisingly calm. He touched the back of his head and disappeared into the darkness of the hospital corridor.

Lin'er lay quietly on the hospital bed. Surprisingly, the wind was not so quiet and began to whistle outside the closed window. Perhaps it was too quiet or too lonely. A gust of wind came to the head of her bed through the gap and swirled in the ward. Then a green wind joined in, and the green wind gradually turned into a graceful woman.

She gently stroked the quiet girl, and Lin'er, who was originally fast asleep, miraculously opened her eyes. She was not surprised, but her eyes emitted a mysterious blue light. Magic energy slowly flowed out of her body, emitting a mysterious rhythm. The sound was beautiful and pleasant, but she was very quiet, for fear that someone would know.

The gathering of magical energies was like a midnight carnival, they danced between the women and little girls, and the whole room was filled with their blue, gentle light.

A young nurse who was making rounds passed by here, humming a song while holding a report form. A blue light shone faintly from the room. She tilted her head and felt very strange. The young nurse pouted and opened the door. Lin'er was sleeping peacefully. She turned over and dragged the quilt to the ground. The young nurse covered Lin'er with the quilt and went out with the door closed.

However, she kept looking back to see what was happening in the room until she left the floor.

Who can tell what fate is?

In the days that followed, Chang Yufeng never thought that he would be able to return to the real world again. This was his last act of stubbornness.
