Chapter 73 She is the murderer

Chang Sumeng was so frightened that she dared not speak, and could only stare at her with wide eyes in fear.

Nan Yu looked down at her again and asked once more.

"Are you Luo Ji's wife?"

Chang Sumeng met those sharp eyes, and remembering how Luo Ji had been beaten half to death, she immediately nodded.

Nan Yu asked in confusion, "You got your marriage certificate?"

Chang Sumeng continued to nod.

“I’ve been living in my hometown. I received the news of his hospitalization the day before yesterday, so I rushed here from my hometown. I didn’t expect that he would die before I even arrived today.”

Thinking of this, her eyes turned bloodshot, filled with intense hatred.

She whispered, "You murderer."

Nan Yu released her grip and said calmly, "I didn't kill Luo Ji."

After saying that, she turned and went to the ward to find the police.

Chang Sumeng looked at her composed back and felt a little puzzled.

She then remembered the photo someone had sent her. The murderer in the photo was clearly Nan Yu, looking exactly the same, even dressed exactly the same.

With red eyes, Chang Sumeng whispered to herself, "I can't trust her, she's the murderer."

Nan Yu arrived at the ward door, and Sun Lu followed closely behind, speaking before she could.

"Captain Yan, my client has arrived."

Upon hearing the noise, team leader Yan Ren, who was in the ward, immediately came out.

He was tall and strong, with sharp eyes, and looked like a seasoned and brilliant detective.

He looked Nan Yu up and down, not missing any change in her eyes.

"You are Nan Yu?"

Nan Yu nodded. "It's me."

Yan Ren's eyes were filled with a chilling intent. "Arrest her."

The next second, the junior officer behind him came up and was about to handcuff her.

Nan Yu calmly said, "No need to handcuff me, I can go with you, but I request to see the witness." Yan Ren narrowed his eyes, gave the junior officer a wink, and said, "Go and call the witness."

A short while later, the young police officer brought over a young nurse.

Yan Ren asked the nurse directly, "Take a closer look, is it her?"

The nurse, wearing glasses, carefully examined Nan Yu from head to toe, finally focusing on her face.

Without hesitation, she said, "Captain Yan, that's right, it's her!"

Nan Yu frowned. "Are you sure you saw me?"

The nurse's eyes darted away, and she took a step back in fear before nodding vigorously at Yan Ren.

"Captain Yan, she's the murderer! Arrest her immediately!"

Yan Ren stood in front of Nan Yu and said, "You should come with us now. If you have anything to say, you can talk about it at the police station."

Nan Yu pursed her lips and said, "Okay."

She turned to look at Sun Lu, "Attorney Sun, I'll go with Captain Yan first. Please come to the police station tonight to see me."

Sun Lu nodded, "Don't worry, I'll bail you out soon."

Yan Ren noticed that Nan Yu's calm reaction was something he had only ever seen in two types of people.

They are either innocent or heinous murderers.

His gaze toward Nan Yu was full of wariness.

As soon as Nan Yu got into the police car, Sun Lu called Xia Xing.

"Assistant Xia, something terrible has happened! Miss Nan has become a suspect."

Xia Xing, who was driving, had the car on speakerphone. As soon as he said that, he could feel a powerful aura coming from the back seat, making it hard for him to breathe.

He kept swallowing and asked in a low voice, "Attorney Sun, what's going on?"

Sun Lu said, "Luo Ji is dead. Someone saw that Miss Nan killed him, and there was also surveillance footage of her."

Xia Xing was completely stunned, while Sun Lu was still talking on the other end.

"Miss Nan has cooperated with the investigation and is now inside."
