Chapter 40 Lost Goods
When they arrived at the entrance of the residential area, Nan Yu told the driver to go back first and call him later to come pick her up.

As soon as the driver left, she went upstairs to change into an all-black outfit, put on a black hat, and was about to go out to hail a taxi to the western suburbs.

Suddenly, I received another anonymous text message on my phone.

[Due to unforeseen circumstances, the goods have been lost, and the pickup process has been cancelled.]

Nan Yu narrowed her eyes and gently bit her lower lip.

She thought for a few seconds, then decided to go to the western suburbs and reply to a message.

Wait for me in the western suburbs.

Nan Yu changed into a regular dress, put on a sun hat, and then went downstairs to hail a taxi.

"Master, to the amusement park in the western suburbs."

It was the weekend, and the amusement park in the western suburbs was packed with people.

Nan Yu waited in the long line to go in and bought a rabbit balloon at the entrance.

She counted the benches as she walked.

"...eight, nine."

Sit down on the ninth bench and tie the rabbit balloon in your hand to the back of the bench.

Twenty minutes later, a man wearing black sunglasses and a casual top, with an ordinary appearance, stood next to her.

"Is this seat taken? Would you like to sit down?"

He stutters when he speaks.

Nan Yu lifted her eyelids and saw the rabbit brooch pinned to his chest. Then, looking at that familiar face, she gently shook her head. "No one is sitting here."

The man immediately sat down, keeping his distance from her, and then took out his camera to take pictures of the roller coaster directly in front of him.

The screams, accompanied by the surrounding noise, went unnoticed by anyone.

Nan Yu adjusted her posture, lowered her head slightly, and then spoke to the person next to her.

"How could the goods be lost?"

While taking photos, the other person stammered, "An hour ago, I put the documents away, and someone followed and stole them. I realized something was wrong, and then the person disappeared."

Nan Yu pondered, "Do you know who it is?"

The other person flipped through the photos on his camera, leaning over to show them to Nanyu, as if sharing photos he had just taken.

He pointed to one of the photos, "Only this photo shows this person; I've never seen him before." Nan Yu glanced at it, then frowned slightly, "Besides the documents, is anything else missing?"

The other party shook their head. "No, the other party came for the documents."

He looked remorseful. "Boss, I'm sorry, it's all my fault."

Nan Yu's eyes darkened, and her red lips pressed tightly together. "X, you've always had strong counter-surveillance skills. You've been responsible for secretly passing on all sorts of things, and you've never made a mistake or been discovered."

"The fact that they managed to steal this document without your knowledge means they're not innocent. Maybe they've been following Z all the way from City C to here, and seized the opportunity to steal the document."

X's face darkened, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes.

Nan Yu's clear eyes hardened with frost. "Send me a copy of the photo. I'll come find this person and the lost documents. You immediately change your identity and wait for my message."

The other party suppressed his anger and obediently replied, "Yes, boss."

After saying that, he got up and left to continue taking pictures, as if he didn't know Nan Yu at all.

Nan Yu didn't move. She looked down at the photo on her phone, carefully observing the person in the photo.

After confirming several times, she realized that she had never seen this person before.

When Nan Yu returned home, she saw a person standing at the door; it was Xiao Yang, the Huo family's driver.

When Xiao Yang saw her return, he immediately put on a simple and honest smile and said respectfully, "Young Madam, have you packed your things? The Old Madam sent me to pick you up."

Nan Yu checked the time and realized it was already six o'clock in the afternoon.

"Wait for me for ten minutes, I still have a few clothes to pack."

Xiao Yang nodded, "Yes, young mistress."

Nan Yu closed the door, found a backpack, packed some clothes, and then put her laptop inside.

She walked out with one hand behind her back, and Xiao Yang immediately said, "Young Madam, let me take it."

Nan Yu didn't refuse, and said with a smile, "Thank you."

Xiao Yang looked at Nan Yu and smiled. She was as beautiful as a celestial being. He blushed instantly and scratched his head embarrassedly.

"You're too kind, young mistress."

Then he followed Nan Yu downstairs.
