Chapter 262 Treating the Huo Family Head

Chapter 262 Treating the Huo Family Head
As Chen Li drove, she glanced at Nan Yu, who was wearing a mask and looking mysterious.

President Huo asked her to find out about Li Yingying from Dean Li and to investigate whether Dr. Li was a "ghost doctor".

She thought that was too much trouble and that it would be better to just invite Dr. Li over and have her treat her on the spot.

If this Dr. Li is a miracle worker, he can definitely cure President Huo's leg; if not, there's no loss.

Nan Yu noticed that Chen Li was glancing at her out of the corner of her eye. She said calmly, "Secretary Chen, how many years has the Huo family head's leg been injured?"

As Chen Li drove, she answered, "Eight years ago, the head of the family was in a very serious car accident, which resulted in him becoming disabled in both legs."

When the topic came up, her tone became noticeably somber, and the atmosphere in the car seemed to drop considerably.

Nan Yu silently wrote down the date.

"Dr. Li, we've arrived."

Chen Li stopped the car, got out, and turned around to help Nan Yu carry her suitcase.

Nan Yu gently stepped aside and said, "I can do it myself."

She looked at the parking lot and recognized it as the place she had stayed before.

Chen Li walked ahead, leading the way, saying, "Dr. Li, the head of the family lives on the top floor, this way please."

Nan Yu got into the elevator and watched Chen Li press the button for the top floor.

One minute later, the elevator doors opened.

Nan Yu saw the black gate, which exuded a strong sense of majesty.

She stepped out of the elevator and watched as Chen Li rang the doorbell.

Then I saw the familiar nanny open the door.

"Secretary Chen, the young master is waiting for you in the study."

Chen Li immediately said to Nan Yu, "Dr. Li, the study is on the second floor, please follow me."

Nan Yu hummed in agreement and followed her upstairs.

The entire top floor is divided into two floors: the first floor has a living room and kitchen, and the second floor has a study and bedroom.

Nan Yu remembered that she had stayed in a small guest room on the second floor last time.

The study is located at the corner at the end of the stairs.

Nan Yu stood at the study door, listening to Chen Li knocking. "Master, Dr. Li has arrived."

There was no sound coming from inside; a long silence ensued.

Just as Nan Yu was about to ask a question, a deep voice finally came from inside the door.

"Enter."

The next second, Chen Li pushed open the door, making way for Nan Yu to walk in.

Nan Yu raised her head and looked into the study.

She immediately spotted the head of the Huo family sitting in the center of the study.

He was wearing a half-black and gold mask, a black silk nightgown, and a book in his hand.

Hearing the door open, Huo Junyan turned his head, his cold gaze falling on Nan Yu.

He closed the book in his hand and parted his thin lips slightly.

"Dr. Li, please come in."

Every time Nan Yu met the head of the Huo family before, he was always dressed in a suit and tie, with a serious and intimidating demeanor.

This was the first time she had seen the head of the Huo family dressed casually; he was not as sharp as before and appeared somewhat gentle.

"Patriarch Huo, extend your hand, and I will examine you directly."

Nan Yu withdrew her scrutinizing gaze, walked up to Huo Junyan, and spoke directly.

Huo Junyan looked at Nan Yu in surprise, but did not make a move.

Nan Yu frowned, looking at him with suspicion. "Hmm? Patriarch Huo, didn't you ask me to come and treat your leg ailment? Is there a problem?"

Huo Junyan raised an eyebrow as he looked at the unusual Nan Yu.

“Dr. Li, you are the first doctor I have ever met who came up to examine me. In the past, other doctors would first find out about my condition.”

Nan Yu's clear eyes rippled slightly as she placed the box in her hand on the desk and said to him, "I prefer to take your pulse first. If I have any questions, I will ask you."

"However, most of your symptoms will be reflected in your pulse."
