Chapter 142 Unable to leave
Ren Xingzhou looked at Nan Yu, who was moving so fast, and his face showed obvious surprise.

"Didn't you grow up in the countryside? How come you have such good skills?"

Nan Yu chuckled, "Is it strange that you're so skilled after climbing mountains and crossing rivers every day?"

Ren Xingzhou didn't believe her.

"The rope I tied for you was tied in a special way that most people couldn't untie. You're from the countryside, yet you managed to untie it. Where did you learn that?"

Nan Yu casually replied, "I learned it online."

Seeing this, Ren Xingzhou knew that she was unwilling to talk, and pressing her for an answer would be useless.

He looked at the gun pressed against his chest, then glanced at Nan Yu.

Aren't you curious about where this is?

Looking at the deep mountains and forests, Nan Yu showed no fear in her eyes and asked him a question in return.

Where is Madam Nan?

Ren Xingzhou placed his hand on the gun, trying to push it away.

Nan Yu's hand remained as steady as a mountain, aimed at his heart without moving an inch.

When Ren Xingzhou met Nan Yu's resolute gaze again, he forced a smile.

“Miss Nan, I’m just following orders. Killing me won’t do you any good. Why don’t you put down your gun and let’s talk things over?”

Nan Yu pressed against his chest, making him take two steps back.

She slowly got out of the car and quickly scanned her surroundings.

Behind me was a wooden house, surrounded by towering forests. I was standing halfway up a mountain, unable to see the summit, and looking down into a bottomless abyss shrouded in mist.

A small, rugged mountain path can be vaguely seen hanging in mid-air.

Ren Xingzhou noticed she was looking at the route and kindly reminded her, "Stop looking at it, you can't drive out."

Nan Yu looked at him in confusion, "Why?"

Ren Xingzhou pointed with his chin to the rugged path, "There's an iron gate in the middle of that mountain path. No one but me can get in or out."

Seeing that his expression didn't seem like he was lying, Nan Yu narrowed her eyes. "Is that so?"

Ren Xingzhou laughed and said, "You don't believe me? Then get in the car, and I'll take you to see it."

Nan Yu looked at him warily and remained silent.

Ren Xingzhou raised his hands. "Now the gun is in your hands. If I want to harm you, you can shoot me at any time."

Nan Yu wasn't sure what his purpose was, so she decided to wait and see. "Get in the car."

Ren Xingzhou got into the driver's seat and drove off along that road.

When you reach the narrow section in the middle, at the most dangerous part, there is a ten-meter-high iron gate blocking the way.

The side of the door is a bottomless abyss, impossible for a person to pass through, and the top of the door is blocked by a forest, too solid to climb over.

If you want to get through, you have to open the door.

Nan Yu glanced at him sideways. "Open the door."

Ren Xingzhou stopped in his tracks. "I won't open it. Madam has ordered you to stay here for a while. Even if you kill me, I cannot disobey your orders."

"But if you kill me, you won't be able to get out either."

Nan Yu squinted at him.

Ren Xingzhou continued with a smile, "This iron gate is custom-made with special materials. It won't be damaged even if you hit it with a car or bombard it with a cannon."

"This door requires a special key to open, and only I know where that key is. If you kill me, you'll never get out of here for the rest of your life."

Nan Yu met his smiling eyes and saw the seriousness hidden deep within them.

He wasn't lying; she couldn't leave without him.

Nan Yu slightly raised her chin, no longer wanting to beat around the bush.

"Since things have come to this, why don't you just tell me directly, why did you kidnap me here?"
