Chapter 140 Is this evidence enough?
Nan Yu opened the car window and looked up at the man outside. He had a sharp appearance, a stubble beard, and a hideous scar that ran diagonally down to his neck from the right corner of his mouth.

It was an unfamiliar face.

"Who is your wife?"

Ren Xingzhou said with a smile, "Our lady is Duan Zhu, the wife of the Nan Group."

Nan Yu's expression froze instantly. She narrowed her eyes and looked at him with distrust.

"What brings you here so late, Madam Nan?"

She remembered her older brother telling her that their mother only believed Nan Qingqing and not them at all. Now that she had found her in the middle of the night, this matter was definitely not that simple.

Ren Xingzhou leaned against the window, staring intently at her.

“Miss Nan, I am only acting on Madam’s orders. You can come with me and ask her directly when you see her.”

Nan Yu asked warily, "You say you're from the Nan family, what proof do you have?"

"Ha, evidence?"

Ren Xingzhou chuckled lightly, as if he had heard a joke.

Nan Yu stared at him, her suspicion growing deeper, and slowly moved backward, preparing to escape.

Suddenly, she saw Ren Xingzhou's hand move!
A black blur flashed into view.

It's too late to say, then soon!
Nan Yu moved swiftly, like an oil snake, and fled towards the passenger seat.

Ren Xingzhou acted quickly, opening the car door and getting in.

With another sudden tug, he pressed Nan Yu into the passenger seat, blocking her from getting out of the car.

The next second, a cold, black weapon was pressed against Nan Yu's temple.

"Miss Nan, is this evidence sufficient?"

Nan Yu glanced at him sideways and could see the gun pressed tightly against her temple, as well as the smile on his face.

He would shoot without hesitation if she made the slightest movement.

"What exactly are you trying to do?" Ren Xingzhou pulled out a rope from his lower back with his left hand and skillfully tied her hands together.

Then strap her to the passenger seat.

Nan Yu looked at the way the rope was tied; it was a special military knot that tightened the more the person being tied moved.

Untying this knot is extremely difficult!
Nan Yu's gaze towards him grew increasingly wary and guarded.

Ren Xingzhou didn't seem to care much. He sat calmly in the driver's seat, took out a cigarette, put it in his mouth, and took a leisurely drag.

He started the car again, smoking with his left hand and steering with his right, exuding a relaxed air.

He glanced at Nan Yu, who wasn't moving around or making a fuss, and grinned, saying, "You're the first person I've ever seen who doesn't move around after being tied up."

Nan Yu estimated that he was in his forties. He looked gentle, but his eyes held a fierce glint in them, making him someone not to be trifled with.

She looked away and gazed at the road ahead.

"You're also the first person I've ever met who reacts faster than me."

Ren Xingzhou was somewhat surprised to see her calmly recount what had just happened.

"You're quite skilled too. If you hadn't been confined in the car, I might not have been able to stop you."

Nan Yu said without changing her expression, "If you give me another chance, you definitely won't be able to catch me."

Ren Xingzhou took two puffs of his cigarette, exhaled smoke rings, and chuckled, "Maybe."

Nan Yu said, "It's not maybe, it's definitely true."

Ren Xingzhou glanced at Nan Yu and asked curiously, "Aren't you scared? Aren't you curious about where I'm taking you?"

Nan Yu turned her head to look at him, her gaze falling on the gun at his waist. "You won't kill me, so what am I afraid of?"

"Besides, didn't you say you were going to take me to see Madam Nan? I'd like to see her too."
