Chapter 362 Su Xiaoxiao Stands Up for Liu Qiaomei

Su Xiaoxiao knew that camellias and wild chrysanthemums could be used in medicine. Liu Qiaomei had heard her father mention this, so she nodded in agreement.

"Okay, let's go to the mountain together tomorrow!"

Su Bingcheng was overjoyed to see that he had achieved his goal.

Unbeknownst to them, she was still busy working in the workshop.

When Su Xiaoxiao returned home in the afternoon, she found Liu Qiaomei walking in from outside.

"Qiaomei, you haven't eaten yet? Come and eat with us!"

Su Xiaoxiao had just made some delicious rice crackers and rice noodles and was about to call Liu Qiaomei over for dinner. But when she saw Liu Qiaomei looking hesitant, she wondered what was wrong and asked, "Where did you go just now?"

In fact, Su Xiaoxiao wouldn't interfere much in Liu Qiaomei's life, but Liu Qiaomei is still not very safe and needs Su Xiaoxiao to protect her more.

After hesitating for a while, Liu Qiaomei finally told Su Xiaoxiao what had happened that day.

She didn't mention that Su Bingcheng and she were going up the mountain together; she only said that she had been called to their house by Old Madam Wang today to do some chores.

Upon hearing this, Su Xiaoxiao immediately exploded.

"What? She treated you like a maid and made you do chores? What was she thinking?!"

As she spoke, Su Xiaoxiao prepared to roll up her sleeves and go to reason with Old Mrs. Wang.

Liu Qiaomei quickly stopped her, "Sister Xiaoxiao, let's forget it. There's no need to go. Besides, Su Bingcheng has already told his mother that I'm not your family's maid, and she won't come to order me around anymore!"

"Su Bingcheng spoke up for you?"

"Yes, Sister Xiaoxiao, don't worry. Besides, it's only right that I help the old lady with some chores."

After saying that, Liu Qiaomei didn't say anything else and went back to her room to work.

Su Xiaoxiao really doesn't respect anyone, except for her old mother-in-law.

Old Mrs. Wang is really something else. We need to find a chance to talk to her about this, so she won't keep coming to our house all the time.

Su Xiaoxiao quickly checked her house to see if anything was missing. When she entered the room, she saw Su Ping'an still sitting at his desk reading, while Mr. Li had already left.

She went over and asked Su Ping'an, "Did you know your mother came today?"

Su Ping'an looked completely bewildered. "I didn't see her. Where is she?"

Sure enough, Su Ping'an was completely focused on his studies and didn't even notice when his mother came over.

"Your mother called Liu Qiaomei home today and made her do all the chores, then made her massage her back and legs, treating her like an old lady. Liu Qiaomei is my sister, not our maid. Is it right to treat her like this?"

Upon hearing this, Su Ping'an thought to himself, "Why does my mother always cause such trouble?" He hurriedly said to Su Xiaoxiao, "Don't mind it. I'll talk to her about it later. Tell Liu Qiaomei not to be so foolish as to let her boss her around." Su Xiaoxiao had no choice but to nod and give up. She originally wanted to go and give Old Madam Wang a piece of her mind about why she was being treated like this, but in the end, for Su Ping'an's sake, she held back.

When Su Xiaoxiao heard Liu Qiaomei's description, she thought a thief had broken into the house when she first saw Old Mrs. Wang. Old Mrs. Wang came in without saying hello and looked like a thief. Was she here to steal something?
Could it be related to the jam recipe again? Su Xiaoxiao dared not think too much about it.

Su Xiaoxiao counted the days; Qian Musheng had been in Beijing for a week already, and he still hadn't finished dealing with his affairs? She couldn't help but worry about him.

Qian Musheng, however, was not at ease. He encountered some trouble on his way to the capital. Mainly, this man was restless and liked to get involved in troublesome matters.

When he was about ten kilometers away from the capital, he needed to rest for a while and have something to eat before continuing his journey.

When he arrived at this place, he found that the small mountain village was really dilapidated, so he decided to find another place to eat.

He was actually quite picky, and the environment he saw here didn't quite meet his expectations. So, he walked a few more miles. This place was like a small town. Although it wasn't the road he usually took to get to the capital, he figured he could still reach the capital from here.

He glanced around. This place wasn't exactly a town; it was called Chashuling. It was a rather large place, with all sorts of restaurants and inns. There were quite a few people on the streets. Qian Musheng didn't think too much about it and rode his Akhal-Teke horse, Moon, into the area.

Qian Musheng is very capable; even if there are thieves or bad guys here, it doesn't matter.

He started looking for a restaurant, and when he looked up, he found that there was indeed a fairly large restaurant open on the north side of the road, with a sign at the door indicating that it was in operation.

He was quite happy, so he rode his horse over. But once inside, he realized it was completely empty; there wasn't a single person there.

However, Qian Musheng was not afraid of this. He found an empty chair and sat down. Just as he was about to call the waiter to come out and take his order, he saw a waiter rushing out from inside.

He acted as if he hadn't even seen Qian Musheng, walked past him to the restaurant entrance, and used the bamboo pole in his hand to take down all the signs in front of the door.

Qian Musheng looked at it and wondered, "What does this mean? Does this mean they're closing the door? Didn't they see I came in to eat?"

He looked unhappy, but the young waiter was quite polite.

"Sir, I'm sorry! We're currently closed for business. Would you please go somewhere else to eat?"

His tone was quite friendly, but he didn't handle the matter very well.

It's not the middle of the night, and it's still quite some time before it gets dark, so why are you saying you're not opening for business?
Suppressing her dissatisfaction, Qian Musheng asked in a gentle tone, "I'm already inside, why aren't you greeting me? Are you trying to push me out?"

Since he was a reasonable person, the waiter didn't hide anything and said, "To be honest, something happened at our boss's house, and he told us to close up shop immediately. He said there were other jobs for us, so of course we had to do them! There are other restaurants on this street, why don't you go and take a look at one of them?"

Just then, a very loud voice was heard from inside, calling out to the young man in an unhappy tone.

"Hurry up and close the door! What are you thinking? Our boss is urging us, and you're still dawdling here?"

An older waiter urged him on, and the younger waiter hurriedly bowed to Qian Musheng, reaching out his hand as if to ask him to leave quickly so he could close the door.

Qian Musheng objected, "Do you think I can't afford to pay for your meal? I just sat down and you're already kicking me out and telling me to go eat at someone else's house?"

The old man noticed that Qian Musheng was carrying a sword on his back. The young man was full of energy and dressed very well. Just sitting there, he made people look at him with respect. He was obviously a martial arts expert, so naturally, the old man didn't dare to offend him.
