Chapter 20 Well done

Chapter 20 Well done
A blue car was driving slowly on the country road.

The structure of cars of this era was quite simple and they were very easy to repair. Wayne took a wrench and pretended to knock on it a few times. Before he found what was wrong, the car started successfully and was on the road again.

The European spirit is overflowing!

Wayne was no longer troubled by the curse and didn't need to eat a lot to relieve his hunger. He ignored the compressed biscuits and started chewing a piece of chocolate in his mouth.

Very loud sound!

In the passenger seat, Willy gave him an envious look. Now that she had turned back into a girl, she could no longer eat chocolates wantonly.

Wayne might have done it on purpose, he swallowed the chocolate in one gulp and blew a sweet aroma towards Willy: "Willie, don't you like chocolate the most? Why don't you eat it?"

Willy was furious, tore open the package... and licked it.

This is her daily portion, which makes her even more angry!

Veronica: Well done!
Also, can't you keep your damn mouth down?

Wayne was not venting his anger on Veronica. He was disgusted by Veronica's pretending to be gay. After 30 years, he naturally wanted to take revenge when he got the chance.

"Villy, do you know the Free Mage Alliance?"

"Free Mage Alliance?!"

Wei Li tilted her head: "Why are you asking this? They are a group of free-spirited nonbelievers. They are not good people... Wait, where did you hear the news?"

"The Nelson Family Handbook."

"I advise you to read that draft paper with a critical mind. It's full of nonsense, childish and one-sided, and it's all groundless self-imagination..."

“It’s also good as a novel.”

Wayne shrugged, not wanting to argue with Willy. The book was too childish for believers, but just right for adults like him.

When Wayne took out the spoils, Veronica and the other two took them and looked through them. Because they were not interested, they quickly read a few pages and returned them to Wayne. They did not read the records about the Free Mage Alliance at the end.

"The Free Mage Alliance, also known as the Alliance of Non-Faithful, was formed by extremists from the Mage Guild. Due to their lack of faith, this group of people is profit-driven and morally despicable. Their reputation in the mage circle is extremely bad..."

In the back row, senior Chris answered Wayne's questions. She was a believer of the Moonlight Goddess and had no good feelings towards the Free Mage Alliance. She made negative comments throughout her article and could not find a single good word to say.

"Does this organization still exist? Has it been wiped out?" Wayne asked curiously.

"..." x3
No one responded, which shows that there are many mages without faith.

Chris clenched her fist and coughed lightly, explaining, "The reason why the Free Mage Alliance exists is not because of its core value, but because it has value to exist. Magicians need to broaden their horizons and share their knowledge and experience with each other. The church cannot organize large-scale exchange meetings. In this case, the mages have to find a way on their own. The Free Mage Alliance is a good choice."

"Chaos, no rules, no principles, and therefore, a lot of darkness has arisen. Almost every wanted criminal is..."

"The Free Mage Alliance brings together all the scum in the mage circle. The faithlessness they advocate is all lies. Mages without faith can't go far. If they are not careful, they will go astray. Mike is the best example."

In order to get Wayne into the arms of the Moonlight Goddess, the senior student was worried sick, fearing that this potential stock would go astray.

Wayne nodded as he listened, and his interest in the Free Mage Alliance grew. He had many questions that he wanted to ask all at once, but Veronica and the other two were not suitable people to ask questions to, so he pretended to be uninterested and passed over the topic.

Wayne thought that Mike's comment was quite pertinent. The three female college students were typical academics who had not experienced much of the harshness of society, so they were very devout in their faith. When they had experienced a few rounds in society and matured, they would understand the Free Mage Alliance like the old mages and join them.

No way, you guys, how can you survive in society if you are so naive? You will suffer if you encounter social scum!
As a friend of the three, Wayne was deeply worried. If they were not too weak to beat them, he would definitely train them personally and mature them in the shortest time possible.

After the car drove for a while, Wayne suddenly realized something. He stopped the car and jumped sideways on the road several times.

"right here……"

Wayne narrowed his eyes slightly. He had driven on this road before and it looked very familiar. The clear sky suddenly became overcast, and lightning, heavy rain, and ghosts followed one after another.

At that time, he sensed a sense of crisis, was dazzled by the lightning, and was frightened by the ghost crawling out from under the car. He had no time to think about it.

Now it seems that the dividing line under his feet is the range covered by the cursed space.

"Wayne, what are you doing?"

"Nothing, I just need to pee, I'll be fine after jumping for a while."

The blue car continued driving and encountered a checkpoint set up by the Lundang police before entering the city.

In recent years, first the Great Depression and then the shadow of war had shrouded the entire continent, and a large number of spies had poured into Windsor.

London, the capital of the Kingdom of Windsor, is almost overrun with spies. In order to combat this rampant foreign force and to better manage social resources, the cabinet has urgently promulgated an ID card system, requiring citizens over the age of 16 to carry their ID cards with them and cooperate with police inspections.

Wayne had an ID card, and so did Veronica and the other two. The police officer who stopped the road was very envious of Wayne for taking three beautiful girls out of town for a trip, and there was a bit of admiration in his words.

Buddy, what are you looking at? Do I look like a scumbag who is cheating on three women at the same time? Can my body bear it?

Wayne was speechless for a while. Anyone with a discerning eye could see that he was not a scumbag, and the three beautiful girls were not his girlfriends.

Because the answer was obvious, explanation would become a cover-up and there was also the suspicion of mocking the police officer's IQ. Wayne simply did not explain. Facing the other party's envious and jealous gaze, he slightly raised the corners of his mouth and nodded lightly.

After the car left, the police officer shook his head repeatedly, avoided his companions, entered the duty room, and made a phone call.

"Mr. Landau, do you know Veronica Landau?"

"No, she didn't do anything out of the ordinary. She just had a boyfriend."

"The prisoner's name is Wayne, and he's a detective... You know, a twenty-something unemployed social idler who either calls himself a writer, a painter, or a detective."

"Not so good. They were out of town for a day and a night, saying they were going back to the countryside to attend a wedding..."

"By the way, there were two beautiful women in the car. According to the criminals, they were girlfriends. If I'm not mistaken, they were all deceived."

"I'm very sure that you have no idea how arrogant his smile was. I still remember that smug look clearly!"

"It's not a problem. It's all my responsibility. Without you, the police officers in Lundan wouldn't be treated as they are now."

"Okay, I'll go to the police station to get the money tomorrow. Thank you for your generosity."
