The former uses plasma to precisely remove excess material from the surface of the silicon wafer to achieve nanoscale pattern transfer, that is, to transfer the circuit structure designed by EDA to the silicon wafer. The latter uses chemical solutions to process the material structure of silicon photonics, which is mainly used in traditional processes.

The level of domestic wet etching is quite good, but it is a bit embarrassing when it comes to consumer-grade dry etching.
