Chapter 77: Solving Gotham's Problems in One Night
"Mr. Padraic!"

Bruce, who was held by Peter and landed on the ground, looked at Peter who suddenly appeared in shock.

"Nice jump, Bruce, but bad luck on that last one!"

Peter let go of Bruce, "It's not bad though. It's the first step in fighting your fear."

Bruce's heart was pounding, and his head was feeling dizzy and unreal after surviving the disaster.

"Sir, why did you come here?"

He asked in disbelief.

"If anything happens to you, Bruce, I'm afraid I won't be able to cash out my $20,000 and the bar."

Peter ruffled Bruce's hair, "Don't forget, our deal isn't over yet."

Bruce knew Peter was joking with him. He touched his sore nose and thanked Peter: "Thank you, sir. Our deal will stand no matter what happens."

"I believe in your promise. Let's go. It's not safe here."

Peter said as he quickly left the scene with Bruce.

"Sir, what's next? Will you go back to Metropolis?"

Bruce asked with both anticipation and fear.

"If I insist on going back to Metropolis, you will definitely stay in Gotham, right?"

Peter led Bruce to a high-powered Harley motorcycle and without waiting for Bruce to answer, he continued, "I will be back in Metropolis before dawn. The time now is..."

He checked his watch, "It's 10:02 pm, which means we probably have less than eight hours, but one night will be enough."

"Eight hours for what, sir?"

Peter turned and stared at Bruce, "Find the Court of Owls."

"That's impossible, sir. The Court of Owls has been lurking in Gotham for centuries. We can't possibly find them."

Bruce stammered.

"There are always clues, Bruce."

Peter handed Bruce the motorcycle helmet, "And as of today, they have already shown up."

Bruce put on his helmet and sat in the back seat, holding Peter's waist.

With a roar, the motorcycle immediately started running wildly on the streets of Gotham.

While driving his motorcycle, Peter called Martian Manhunter, "Jones, have you found James Gordon's phone number?"

Based on his understanding of Gotham in his previous life, the only person who could possibly help now might be this upright policeman.

Although the current Gordon may not be the experienced old detective of later generations.

After receiving Gordon's call from Martian Manhunter, he immediately dialed the call.

At the Gotham Police Department, Officer James Gordon was overwhelmed by the chaos in Gotham when his cell phone suddenly rang.

"I'm James Gordon. Who is this?"

"Officer Gordon, I'd like to talk to you about the Court of Owls."

When Gordon heard the word "Court of Owls" coming from the microphone, his heart skipped a beat.

"Who are you? Why do you know this organization?"

"It doesn't matter who I am, but if you want to talk, you can go to the rooftop of the Gotham Police Department. I'll be waiting for you there."

After Gordon hung up the phone, the expression on his face kept changing.

After hesitating for a moment, he finally gritted his teeth and rushed to the rooftop.

On the rooftop, Gordon looked around at his surroundings.

The dark night was quiet, and it seemed that no one was waiting for him.

"Officer Gordon."

Gordon was startled by the strange voice and turned around suddenly. What he saw was a figure bathed in shadows.

The darkness of the night prevented him from seeing the other person's face clearly, and a sense of mystery lingered about him.

"Who are you?"

Faced with this elusive existence, Gordon was extremely vigilant.

"That's not important, Officer Gordon. I assume you have looked up the Court of Owls, right?"

Gordon stepped back. "How do you know? Who are you?"

Peter looked at the handsome middle-aged man in front of him, and he couldn't reconcile him with the old Gordon he knew in his previous life.

He shook his head to dispel the sense of disobedience, "Don't worry, I'm not a thug. I'm someone who is trying to give this city some hope."

"The Court of Owls controls a laboratory in Indian Hills that studies serum viruses. Officer Gordon, send someone to investigate there. I'm sure you'll find something valuable."

Peter paused and continued, "Now, let's exchange information. I think you will tell me the clues you have, right, officer?"

Gordon looked at Peter in the shadows hesitantly, but finally chose to believe him.

"I haven't found out where this organization is located yet, but I found out that the former mayor of Gotham, Wally Krohn, has close ties with this organization. He must know some secrets about this organization."

"Former mayor?"

After hearing this answer, Peter nodded with satisfaction.

"boom!"

Gordon was startled by the sound of gunfire near the police station.

He turned and looked in the direction where the gunshot came from, and when he turned back to face Peter, he found that the other person had disappeared.

far away.

Bruce, who was observing the scene on the rooftop, had his eyes lit up when he saw Peter's way of coming and going without a trace.

I will try this way of meeting Officer Gordon sometime in the future.

after an hour.

Peter grabbed the collar of the pot-bellied former mayor with one hand and pushed him to the edge of the roof.

"My time is valuable, so Mr. Mayor, without beating around the bush, tell me, where is the headquarters of the Court of Owls?"

Wally Krohn looked at Peter standing in front of him in horror, "I don't know what you are talking about."

He was originally resting at home, but in the blink of an eye he was kidnapped by this demon and taken to the rooftop.

"It seems you don't know who you have provoked!"

Peter pushed Wally Krohn back violently.

The former mayor, whose body was out of control, immediately felt a sense of weightlessness.

He let out a shrill cry as he fell downstairs.

Just before falling, Peter grabbed his tie.

Wally Krohn, whose body was leaning back with half of his body sticking out of the roof, did not breathe a sigh of relief after being rescued, but instead let out an even more miserable cry.

"No! No! Sir, don't let go! Please!"

Peter grabbed the man's tie, shook his head and said, "I'm not sure your tie will hold up. Now, tell me everything you know about the Court of Owls."

"I said, I said!"

Frightened, Wally Krohn immediately begged Peter for mercy.

However, before he could tell them about the Court of Owls, there was a sudden "whoosh" sound of something breaking through the air.

Wally Krohn's head was hit directly by the dart, and blood spurted out.

Bruce next to him was shocked by Peter's interrogation method. He didn't expect that Wally Krohn would be killed.

The sudden change made him stunned!
