Chapter 347: Dao Heart is Like a Glazed Mirror

Zuo Chen and the little monk looked at each other.

This little monk has clean features and smiling eyes, and seems to have a very gentle personality.

But his skills were obviously weak, and it seemed as if he had just started learning.

With just this little bit of skill, he was able to discover himself.

I’m afraid the little monk’s identity is not simple.

After noticing Zuo Chen's gaze, the little monk bowed slightly in their direction, and then stopped looking at Zuo Chen and the others, as if nothing had to do with him.

After thinking for a moment, Zuo Chen finally put the matter deep in his heart.

It’s better to finish watching the past years first.

Focusing his attention on past history again, Zuo Chen could clearly see that his former self seemed to have lost his soul, and he slowly stood up with the help of the monks.

Even his legs were weak and he couldn't even stand steadily.

The six years of walking in the mountains outside the mountains consumed a lot of Zuo Chen's energy. He fought against countless monsters and was only able to survive on his strength. If it were not for the obsession in the coffin, he would have already fallen in the endless mountains outside the mountains.

However, he overcame numerous difficulties and dangers to reach the Great West, and found the legendary paradise where his long-cherished wish could come true, but in the end he only got this result.

Ten years of wasted time finally broke down "Zuo Chen", whose Taoism heart was still far from solid.

It's not anger, nor sadness, but more of a sense of helplessness after losing one's goal.

The past awakened one looked at "Zuo Chen" who had almost lost his target. He pondered for a long time before sighing slightly:
“There is reincarnation in the world. If you really can’t let go, I, an old monk, can send you to the reincarnation to take a look. Maybe in some corner of the reincarnation, you can find the person you want.

“But…don’t be disgusted by my nagging. Once a soul enters the cycle of reincarnation, its soul and spirit will be immediately replaced. From that moment on, the soul will no longer be the same as before.

“Even if there are a thousand similarities, even if the donor sees many shadows in that reincarnated person, they are still two people.

"I also hope that the donor will get rid of his obsession as soon as possible, and not disrupt another soul that should be reincarnated normally because of his own desire."

These words from the past enlightened one once again aroused Zuo Chen's will.

What if... What if he could get his soul back before Li Hongyi was reincarnated, he still had a chance.

After expressing his gratitude profusely, the enlightened being in the past displayed his magical powers and cut a long gap between the mortal world and the strange world, and directly brought "Zuo Chen" into the cycle of reincarnation.

Once you step into the underworld, you will be surrounded by hundreds of ghosts. The Three Tuo River has high walls and it is difficult to be reborn in the ghost water.

There is an extremely strict order between the Yin and Yang worlds. If a living person comes to the underworld, he will be severely punished. However, the awakened one's practice in the past was too profound, and the West had many cultivators of its own in the underworld. When he said that he wanted to find the trace of someone's soul, the manager of reincarnation just turned a blind eye.

Soon "Zuo Chen" was brought to the huge wheel and a book was handed to him.

"Zuo Chen" flipped through a few pages and quickly found the name "Li Hongyi".

It clearly says above:

"Already entered the cycle of reincarnation."

How could Li Hongyi, a person who has neither committed any serious sins nor done many good deeds, stay in this underworld for too long?
People will suffer torture in hell, perfect people can gain fifty years of Yin life in Fengdu, and people like Li Hongyi will be handed over to reincarnation by the Book of Life and Death after their lifetime karma is calculated.

"Zuo Chen" could only see from the Sansheng Stone a little girl babbling in a family that did not seem to be very wealthy, looking forward to a new future.

At this moment, the last bit of hope in Zuo Chen's heart also disappeared like the wind.

When he returned to the Great Western Temple, his entire spirit and energy had completely dissipated.

In the past, the enlightened one did not force Zuo Chen, nor did he preach any profound principles. He simply arranged a residence for him in the Great West and let him think carefully about what to do in the future.

……

What follows is a long story without any twists and turns.

"Zuo Chen" temporarily stayed in the Great West.

Although he said he would stay, he did not go to the room provided for him by Da Xifang.

He found a mountain in the west, climbed to the top without using any skills, found a stone on the edge of the cliff, and sat on the stone.

Watch the sun rise, high in the sky, watch the sun set, the sky is full of stars.

Watch the spring breeze blow and all things come to life, watch the winter snow fall and the flowers wither.

In the vision of Zuo Chen and the other two, the following scene was like a series of quickly flashing lantern pictures, forming a rapidly changing picture with "Zuo Chen" as the center.

Occasionally, a few Taoist priests in gray robes could be seen coming to "Zuo Chen" to clean up, and "Zuo Chen" didn't react much.

I thought this period of time would pass like this, but in this flickering picture, a bald head slowly appeared.

Zuo Chen slowed down the flow of the Moon River scene and finally saw clearly who the little bald man was:
That was the little monk who had been staring at Zuo Chen and the others before.

The little monk seemed to be very interested in this "knight" who suddenly appeared. From time to time, he would come to the hillside and circle around the knight two or three times.

However, "Zuo Chen" was in no mood to pay attention to him and just let him play by himself.

This little monk came every day, sometimes bringing food, and sometimes sitting next to Zuo Chen and chatting about random things.

Sometimes he would just bring a scripture and talk here and there, reciting some contents from the scripture. These things did not cause any reaction from "Zuo Chen", everything seemed to be the same as before, without any change.

One day, after the young monk finished reading the sutra, he sighed:
“If we can manage the mountain outside the mountain, there will be fewer tragedies like these happening to the donor.”

These words were like a small hammer that touched Zuo Chen's closed heart, creating a small crack in his long-sealed heart.

Although he did not move, the dusty spiritual energy had begun to flow through his meridians again.

At this moment, Zuo Chen's Tao heart seemed to have broken away from the thick accumulated dust and climbed further upwards!
His sitting posture also changed from lazy sitting to sitting cross-legged.

"Zuo Chen" slowly entered a state of seclusion.

The experiences of traveling through time and space for the past ten years have become an indelible scar in his life, and now this scar is slowly transforming into new bricks on the surface of his Dao heart, piling up layer by layer.

As time goes by, some unique scenes slowly appear beside "Zuo Chen"'s body.

There are newly blooming flowers, rushing rivers, wonderful scenery on the mountains, and pleasant stars under the night sky.

Anyone who has traveled in An Ning's body can definitely see that all the scenes appearing in the sky are the scenes inside An Ning's body.

These are the mountains and rivers that Li Hongyi and "Zuo Chen" walked through, and the beautiful scenery they passed by.

It eventually became the cornerstone of "Zuo Chen's" state of mind.

The Bodhisattva looked at the thousands of changing colors before his eyes and said with emotion:
"There was a time when the sky in the Great Western Region was filled with thousands of changes, attracting many fellow Taoists to come and watch. They all gained some insights from these mysterious changes. At that time, I was deep in the mountains dealing with the demon tribe, and it would take another hundred years for me to return to the Great Western Region. I missed the opportunity to meet my fellow Taoists."

"We missed each other for more than a hundred years..." Caiyi was secretly shocked.

This great and powerful being with a long life seems to have a weak sense of time.

The scene goes straight to ninety-nine and eighty-one days later, when "Zuo Chen" opens his eyes again, and the ashes that had accumulated on his body over time suddenly dissipate.

Now it has been more than a year, and his beard has grown very long. He no longer looks as clean and fresh as when he first came.
But "Zuo Chen" didn't care about it. He picked up the coffin again, came to the Great Western Temple, and found a little monk.

The little monk was chanting sutras, and was surprised to see "Zuo Chen" coming to find him.

Then he smiled and said:

"Donor, have you gotten over the obsession in your heart?"

"I have a new obsession."

"Oh? Can you tell me about it?"

"…cultivate the wonderful Dharma, pacify the four directions, stop wars with force, and create a peaceful world."

"This is a great aspiration. I wish you success."

"Thank you."

"Where are you going today, benefactor?"

"Return to An Ning and bury the master."

Zuo Chen left with the coffin on his back. The little monk looked at his back and thought for a moment:

"donor."

"What's the matter?"

"You and I are on the same path, and one day, we will meet on the road."

"I will treat you to tea then."

"Zuo Chen" carried the coffin and left the West.

He walked through the mountains again, heading towards his peaceful life.

Perhaps it was because of the previous six years of "Gu Yan Zhi" that the monsters in the mountains outside the mountains restrained their actions a lot, and did not give "Zuo Chen" many opportunities to take action along the way.

After walking for a year, Zuo Chen finally returned to An Ning.

He spent some of the treasure coins he had saved on the road, boarded the immortal shuttle, and under the astonished gazes of his fellow monks, he carried a huge coffin and headed to Li Hongyi's hometown.

The managers of Xiansuo wanted to stop "Zuo Chen", but they were sent away by "Zuo Chen" with several times the treasure coins.

In this way, he finally arrived at an uninhabited small crown at dusk one day.

He dug a deep grave, placed the coffin in it, and after burying it, erected a stone tablet and engraved the words "Tomb of My Mentor".

Put the tombstone away and look sideways into the distance.

As the sun was setting, "Zuo Chen" calmed himself down and went down the mountain again.

At this moment, the three people following behind him finally felt some of Zuo Chen's current appearance in him.

Caiyi looked at Zuo Chen's back. For some reason, she seemed to hear a faint sigh.

Looking back, I saw only a grave standing behind me, its shadow cast by the setting sun being extremely long.
