Chapter 267 How can this be called peeping?
The crabapple tree remained silent.

Seeing this, Feng Huai pinched her cheeks hard, forcing her to look up at him. "You know best how unbearable it is when Biluo takes effect. If you don't take the antidote, not only will your martial arts be ruined, but your face will also rot. Your legs and hands will also age and become like withered branches, which will crumble with a gentle pinch."

Even so, you won't die immediately; you can only watch helplessly as you writhe like a monster, unable even to commit suicide.

Haitang unconsciously clenched her fingers, her heart filled with fear.

She had been trying not to think about the poison in her body, and the comfort she had been enjoying during this time had almost made her forget about the strange poison she was suffering from. Now, with Feng Huai's reminder, the fear that had seeped into her bones resurfaced.

She had witnessed a companion succumb to the poison before Biluo took its toll because he failed to complete his mission and didn't take the antidote in time...

Biluo is one of the ten most potent poisons, extremely insidious. She had searched through ancient medical books but could not find an antidote. The antidote in Feng Huai's possession could only suppress the poison temporarily and could not completely eliminate Biluo's toxicity.

Therefore, she needs to take the antidote once a year before Biluo's attack occurs; otherwise, once the attack occurs, the medicine will be ineffective, and taking the antidote will be useless.

And now there are only three months left before Biluo takes effect...

Feng Huai noticed the subtle changes on her face and softened his tone, "But you don't need to be afraid. You are an assassin I personally trained. How could I just stand by and watch you succumb to the poison?"
"Be good and go get me what I need, or perhaps you can put this medicine into Yunwei's food."

When Haitang came to her senses, she saw him put a green porcelain bottle into her hand.

Upon seeing the bottle, her heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly tried to throw it away, but Feng Huai grabbed her hand.

He took the porcelain bottle back from Haitang's hand, his face darkening. "This Azure Heaven is not easy to refine. Don't waste it. If you don't want to poison it, bring me what I need as soon as possible!"

Haitang clenched her fist tightly.

"Go ahead." Feng Huai patted her shoulder.

……

The Regent's Palace.

When Haitang returned, she saw the Regent Prince with Yunwei in the room, so she didn't go in. Tian'er, however, pulled her aside and asked, "Where did you go just now? Who did you see? I went out to look for you, but I couldn't find you."

Haitang paused for a moment, then truthfully replied, "I went to see Feng Huai."

Upon hearing that she was going to see her former master, Tian'er immediately asked anxiously, "Are you alright? Did he bully you?"

"No," Haitang shook her head.

Tian'er breathed a sigh of relief, but frowned and said, "He already gave you to my young lady, so why is he still haunting you and always looking for you? Haitang, don't pay any attention to him next time."

"Okay," Haitang agreed.

She returned to her room, sat for a while, and thought of Biluo, her heart still uneasy.

When she returned to Yunwei's house, the Regent was no longer inside, nor were Yunwei and Tian'er.

She hesitated for a moment, but still went into Yunwei's room.

She is now Yunwei's personal maid and can freely enter and leave her room. Yunwei doesn't really avoid her, and she knows where Yunwei keeps her valuables.

She walked straight to the bed in the inner room and stopped there.

On Yunwei's bedside table, there was a small, locked box placed in an inconspicuous spot.

The reason Haitang noticed this box was that it was the only locked box in the entire room; Yunwei had left all the other jewelry and ornaments lying around carelessly.

She had seen Yunwei holding the box like a precious treasure, and then casually putting it back when she saw her come in. But she noticed that Yunwei's gaze would occasionally drift towards the box.

Therefore, she concluded that the box must contain something that Yunwei valued and cherished highly.

Thinking of this, she pulled the hairpin out of her hair.

Unlocking was a piece of cake for her. Perhaps what she wanted was inside the box.

Unbeknownst to her, a tile on the roof had been removed, and Yunwei was watching her every move through the hole.

Inside the room, Haitang was holding the box in her hands and trying to pry open the lock with her hairpin.

But just as the lock was about to open, Haitang suddenly stopped.

She suddenly blushed, put the box back, and put away the hairpin, seemingly lost in thought.

Yunwei raised an eyebrow at her. She had thought she would unlock the box, but instead, she put it back.

Haitang didn't stay in the house long; she quickly left.

Seeing this, Yunwei put the tile back and was about to get up and leave when she suddenly tensed up and turned around abruptly, only to see Rong Zhen standing behind her.

She paused, then breathed a sigh of relief, her almond-shaped eyes blinking slightly. "When did you come up?"

Rong Zhen stood with his hands behind his back, looking at her with amusement, "While you were spying on your own room."

Yun Wei coughed lightly, "I was looking into my own room, how can that be called peeping?"

“But it’s not exactly aboveboard either,” Rong Zhen said slowly and deliberately.

"Didn't you go to the study? Why are you back?" Yun Wei changed the subject.

Rong Zhen gave her a deep look, but didn't pursue the matter further. After all, she was her person, and he respected her wishes in how she wanted to handle things.

“There’s nothing urgent to take care of. I thought you probably haven’t been out for many days, so I wanted to take you for a walk,” Rong Zhen said gently.

Upon hearing this, Yun Wei's face lit up with joy. "Really?"

"Mm." Rong Zhen nodded.

“Then come with me to Qixia Horse Ranch,” Yunwei said.

"Okay." Rong Zhen nodded.

The two jumped off the roof, ordered the servants to prepare horses, and then went out the door.

Upon arriving at the gate of the mansion, Yunwei frowned upon seeing that the servants had only brought one horse. "Why is there only one horse?"

The young servant leading the horse seemed surprised that Yunwei also wanted to ride, and stood there dumbfounded.

"Quickly go and fetch another horse," Sang Qing said hastily.

The servant realized what was happening and hurriedly went to help, but Rong Zhen stopped him, saying, "Let it go this time."

Yunwei turned to look at him, "How can you ride a horse?"

“It’s no big deal for two people to ride together on one horse,” Rong Zhen said calmly, then suddenly grabbed her waist and lifted her onto the horse.

Before Yunwei could react, the man had already leaped onto the horse, sat behind her, and taken the reins. "Giddy up!"

Immediately, the horse galloped off.

Only after they left the city gate did Yun Wei snatch the reins from Rong Zhen's hand, stop the horse, and glance at the man behind her. "Did you do that on purpose?"

"Deliberately what?" Rong Zhen raised an eyebrow.

"Stop pretending!" Yunwei glared at him, but didn't say anything more. She squeezed the horse's flanks with her legs, and the horse started running again.

Rong Zhen took the opportunity to embrace her slender waist, a faint smile in his eyes.
