Chapter 132: Unstoppable

Chapter 132: Unstoppable
When Ji Xuan opened his eyes groggily, the first thing he saw was a familiar, handsome face.

There was only a dim night light in the tent, placed near the entrance. Her long eyelashes fluttered gently, casting a faint shadow and adding a touch of shimmering, dreamlike light to her almond-shaped eyes.

"woke up?"

Wen Qi kept looking at her, his voice gentle and clear.

Ji Xuan's heart skipped a beat. She sat up from his arms, regaining her composure slightly. "What time is it?"

Wen Qi also sat up. "It's not even eight o'clock yet. Do you have a headache?"

It was not until before eight o'clock, and she had only slept for about an hour.

Ji Xian shook his head, said "It doesn't hurt," and then asked, "Are they still eating?"

"I don't know." Wen Qi had been staying with her in the tent, but judging from the commotion outside, it seemed like it wasn't over yet. "Shall we go out and take a look?"

Ji Xuan put on his coat and walked out with Wen Qi. Under the sky, everyone was there except for Yin Qianran, as if they were playing a game.

As the two approached, they smelled a pungent odor of alcohol. Looking at the bottles and jars on the ground, they noticed that, apart from Lu Xuming, the others all seemed to be intoxicated.

"Are you still drinking? Not planning to go home tonight? Or are you planning to drive under the influence?"

The others looked over at the sound, and Yi Xu casually said, "If we can't go back, we can't go back. It's not like we can't sleep in a tent. Come on, let's play together?"

Wen Qi refused sternly, "No, she has to go to work tomorrow and can't drink anymore."

Chu Feng shouted, "Then you drink it!"

"We need to drive."

"Alright then." Jiang Huaichuan hadn't expected him to come, and told the others to continue.

After taking a nap, Ji Xuan was much more awake. He walked over to Shi Wan with a worried look on his face, "Wanwan, how much did you drink? Are you alright?"

"It's okay, I'm not drunk." Shi Wan waved her hand with a smile, declaring confidently, "You know my drinking capacity, I could easily drink them all under the table!"

"His tone is bigger than his face." Yi Xu, sitting opposite her, scoffed lightly, unconvinced.

Shi Wan lifted her eyelids, her slightly aggressive phoenix eyes lightly landing on his unrestrained and dashing handsome face, igniting her lifelong competitive spirit.

She snorted coldly, "It seems Young Master Yi is not convinced. How about we have a contest?"

"Let's have a competition then." Yi Xu rubbed his cheek with the tip of his tongue, jokingly adding, "What's the point of just playing around? How about we make a bet?"

Shi Wan said with an air of pride, "Alright, tell me, what's the bet?"

The intense, almost fiery gazes they exchanged left those around them completely bewildered.

Why did we suddenly start competing?

"I haven't thought about it yet." Yi Xu pondered, raising an eyebrow. "How about we keep it simple: the loser agrees to one condition or request from the winner."

Shi Wan narrowed her eyes.

He then added with a laugh, "Of course, I certainly won't let you do anything like murder, arson... or betray yourself."

His last, flippant and unrestrained gaze lingered on her before slowly withdrawing.

Shi Wan interpreted it as a provocation.

A gentle night breeze swept by, ruffling her dark hair and leaving a streak on her vibrant red lips, enhancing her allure.

She casually brushed her hair back and chuckled, "Where does Young Master Yi get his confidence? What makes you think you can win?"

Ji Xuan sighed, wondering what they were up to. He leaned close to Shi Wan's ear and whispered, "Yi Xu has the best alcohol tolerance among the five of them."

Shi Wan snorted, "So what?! My alcohol tolerance isn't bad either."

"..."

Ji Xuan was unstoppable!
Yi Xu smiled calmly, "Don't say I bullied you if you lose."

Shi Wan sneered, "That's pretty much what you said yourself."

After the game started, Shi Wan did lose more often than others, and her consciousness began to blur. Yi Xu glanced at her slightly drunken face and asked, "Want to play again?" "Sure! Of course I'll play!"

After finishing her drink, Shi Wan wiped her lips with the back of her hand, looking spirited.

Ji Xian quickly stopped him, "Don't drink anymore, you'll get drunk if you drink any more."

"It's okay, I'm drunk, so what? When was the last time I was drunk? I think it was... I can't remember."

"..."

Ji Xian was helpless.

The group played until nearly 10 p.m., and they were all quite drunk. It seemed like none of them wanted to go home.

Yin Qianran felt that with so many people around, it was too lively, and she didn't want to go back.

But Ji Xian couldn't not go back; she had work the next day, so she decided to bring Shi Wan back with her.

But Shi Wan waved her hand drunkenly, "No need, I'll stay here for one night and drive back myself tomorrow morning. Otherwise, I'll have to take time to come back and get the car, which is too much trouble."

Ji Xian was a little worried about her, so he took her to the tent where she used to sleep, covered her with a blanket, and pulled the tent up to conceal her before saying goodbye to Xu Mingming and his wife.

"We'll be going now. Please keep an eye on Wanwan for us."

Ji Xian actually wanted to say that she wasn't very well-behaved when she was drunk, but she still softened it by saying, "She might be a bit unruly when she's drunk."

Yin Qianran asked in surprise, "Making a ruckus? How so? She was sleeping soundly."

Ji Xian sighed, "She's different when she's drunk. She looks sober now, but she'll be different after she wakes up from a nap."

"You can do that?" Yin Qianran chuckled mischievously. "Hehe, I'm quite curious. Don't worry, go back home. Leave it to me, nothing will happen."

Ji Xuan nodded, said "thank you," and walked with Wen Qi towards the parking lot under the moonlight.

Seeing her furrowed brows, Wen Qi took her hand and said, "They are all decent people. Besides, Lu Xuming is still sober, so don't worry."

Ji Xuan looked up. "Do you believe me if I say that I'm not worried about Wanwan, but about Yi Xu and the others?"

Wen Qi was taken aback, then a laugh escaped his throat. "What do you mean?"

"Well... how should I put it, anyway, she's quite a handful."

"It's alright, they can handle it."

Ji Xian chuckled, "I hope Wanwan gets a good night's sleep tonight."

After a 40-minute drive, we arrived smoothly at her apartment building.

"Are you happy today?" Wen Qi asked softly as he watched her unbuckle her seatbelt, took her hand again, and played with it in his palm.

Today marks their first date since they got back together.

Ji Xian smiled faintly, "I'm happy."

Wen Qi breathed a sigh of relief, a smile appearing on his lips. Suddenly remembering something, he handed her the car keys from his coat pocket, saying, "This is your old Porsche."

Ji Xuan was slightly taken aback, a hint of surprise appearing in his eyes.

She was very familiar with this set of car keys. It had been over a year, and even the little Kuromi charm on them was still there, showing no signs of wear and tear.

"how……"

“Didn’t you say you’d be very busy for a while?” Wen Qi said. “Having a car will definitely make things more convenient.”

Ji Xian glanced at the car keys in his hand, his expression momentarily dazed.

Wen Qi bought this car for her in their second year together.

It's still under her name.

Finally, she smiled and accepted it without hesitation, saying, "Indeed, having a car would be more convenient, and you wouldn't have to pick me up every day."
