Devouring Starry Sky 2 Origin Continent

Chapter 451, Episode 2: Record of the Corridor

Chapter 451, Episode 12: Record of the Corridor
The starlight carried Luo Feng as if he were walking on a map, traversing one territory after another.

"Ok?"

Luo Feng discovered that an independent spacetime had appeared, enveloping him and Xingmang. This independent spacetime, carrying two lords, was rapidly falling into the deepest part of spacetime. As they continued to fall, spacetime was constantly distorted.

"Where are we going?" Luo Feng asked curiously, looking at the scene before him.

"You'll find out soon enough," Starlight smiled.

The distortion of spacetime around them grew increasingly severe, exceeding the comprehension of normal lords and progenitors. Finally, Luo Feng and his companions suddenly entered a hidden location.

"Ok?"

Luo Feng stared in astonishment at what was in front of him.

Before us lies a corridor of time, at the end of which stands a majestic altar.

“This is the mysterious ‘Record Corridor’.” Starlight stood in the corridor, looking out at the outside world.

Luo Feng also looked out.

The Endless Chaos Space has become a giant sphere shrunk countless times. The Recording Corridor is the center of this giant sphere. Standing in the Recording Corridor, one can see all areas of the Endless Chaos Space.

“Standing in the recording corridor, the endless primordial space is laid out before you,” Xingmang said with a smile. “The endless primordial space is truly magical. It looks different from different angles.”

Luo Feng nodded. He had viewed it from the perspective of the 'Land of Fluctuations', from the perspective of the Abyss of Destruction, and now from the perspective of the Recording Corridor.

"Follow me." Starlight moved along the corridor.

Luo Feng also looked at both sides of the corridor.

The walls on both sides of the corridor are decorated with carvings depicting many scenes from the history of the endless Hunyuan space.

There are scenes of the birth of the Demon Ruins and the Primordial One, scenes of the roar of the Giant God Emperor, scenes of the infinite serpents winding and enveloping a world cluster, scenes of Yuan walking out of the Origin World alone...

“This is the past of the Endless Chaos Space,” Xingmang said. “This corridor records some scenes that are significant to the entire Endless Chaos Space.”

Luo Feng nodded as he walked around observing, noting that each of the eight lords had a moment recorded in the corridor.

As he approached the end of the corridor, Luo Feng saw his own sculpture... He was standing on the 34th floor of the Abyss of Destruction, holding the Blood Shadow Blade, while the world messenger on the 34th floor of the Abyss of Destruction respectfully submitted to him.

The last scene at the end of the corridor shows eight lords charging into the core of the ancestral formation, their blades cleaving half of the primordial ancestor's 'absolute sphere' body, leaving the other ancestors terrified.

At the end of the corridor stood a majestic altar.

The altar was shrouded in layers of illusory shadows, making it difficult to see inside. Occasionally, images would flash across these layers of shadows.

"This phantom image?" Luo Feng's expression changed slightly.

Although it was only a fleeting moment, he had already memorized it—the gray-robed woman 'Shazhou' was in the mysterious 'Tonggu Land,' where the endless terrifying power of Tonggu Land gathered around her, completely under her control.

"The Sand Boat can refine and control the 'Tonggu Land'?" Luo Feng realized the significance of this scene.

"Luo Feng, don't worry about these things too much."

Starlight, however, didn't care and said with a smile, "The more you learn about the future, the more you'll realize that these scenarios aren't that significant."

Luo Feng listened.

"The future is already set, but what about the future?" Starlight smiled and said, "Let me give you an example. Suppose there are 100 million possibilities for the future, one million epochs from now. What about the future, 'ten million epochs' from now? Based on these 100 million possibilities, each possibility can evolve into an average of 100 million more possibilities. That's '100 trillion possibilities'. The further away from the present... the more exponentially the possibilities will increase."

"This is just a simple example. The actual evolution of the future is much more complex. Even I cannot explore the distant future."

Xingmang said, "What you just saw Shazhou controlling Tonggu Land is probably just one possible future scenario, which is probably many billions of years in the future."

Luo Feng understood.

“The future depends on probability,” Xingmang said. “If we see the same future over and over again, then we need to be careful.”

Luo Feng saw another scene on the phantom image of the altar.

That was the 'Infinite Serpent Ancestor' forming a real and enormous body, the size of which surpassed that of any other life form in this era.

"The Infinite Serpent Ancestor?" Luo Feng looked at it solemnly.

“An immortal being, the longer it lives, the more likely it is to have a ‘powerful future’,” Xingmang laughed. “However, if it happens once or twice, it’s not very significant.”

"Starlight, have you seen any important futures that keep appearing again and again?" Luo Feng asked.

Starlight paused for a moment, then nodded slightly: "I have seen a future! It has appeared many times. It is a crisis for our cultivator camp, as well as for the naturally formed Hunyuan camp and the Ice Peak camp."

Luo Feng's expression changed slightly.

“Naigu,” Xingmang said, “is the source of this crisis.”

“Impossible.” Luo Feng frowned. “Naigu is also wholeheartedly devoted to the cultivators.”

“Naigu is destined to follow the ‘Heart-Severing Method.’ Even without the threat of Mogus’s soul techniques, he will still choose this path after a long period of cultivation.” Xingmang looked at Luo Feng. “He will refine and control more and more ancestral bloodlines, twenty, thirty… Each ancestral bloodline will becomes a ‘sub-consciousness’ within him. Do you think that when dozens of ancestral bloodline wills influence him simultaneously, under this collective consciousness, he is a lord or an ancestor?”

Luo Feng was slightly taken aback. He remembered that Naigu and Jin were both cultivators of the Cataclysmic type. These types of cultivators slaughtered billions solely for their own benefit.

He probably doesn't care as much about the faction as he does about himself, his elder brother, or Minghuang.

“At that time, he was neither for the cultivators' camp nor for the progenitors' camp; he was only for himself,” Xingmang said.

“Of course, that’s just a possibility for the future,” Starlight said. “Because the distance is too far, I’ve traveled through countless timelines in the future and still haven’t been able to observe it. I’ve only seen it many times in the phantom of the altar.”

"Is there a way to influence the future?" Luo Feng asked.

“I can deduce a lot of information from the images of the altar,” Starlight said with a smile. “Our endless primordial space is still young and can still hold many progenitors and lords! There are still too many variables.”

"Right now, we feel that the 'Tonggu Land' is difficult to refine, but in the future... it may be possible to control the Sand Boat."

"The origin of the 'Wall of Fire,' one of the three mysterious places, has yet to be found. But I saw in the phantom of the altar that the 'Endless Ancestor' will be able to draw upon a portion of the power of the Wall of Fire in the future."

"And our lords, the lords will be even more powerful."

Xingmang looked at Luo Feng and said, "Even if Naigu really becomes a threat, I believe there are still forces that can suppress him! For example, you, Luo Feng, can suppress him!"

Luo Feng stared at the many illusory images of the altar.

"Is it possible to see myself?" Luo Feng asked.

“Based on my experience, the future that the altar's phantom appears in will never see itself!” Starlight said.

Luo Feng didn't care too much. He was already the strongest in the contemporary era, and he was confident that he could handle anything in the future.

"Luo Feng, I need to open the altar now, and I need your help to provide energy," Xingmang said.

"Okay." Luo Feng nodded.

As Xingmang looked at the altar, he immediately ignited his main battle avatar, unleashing a torrent of power. Xingmang's vast and mighty power began to flow into the many illusory images of the altar, influencing and altering them.

With his achievements in spacetime, maintaining the 'extreme burning of the main battle clone' was significantly more effective. In just a short while, after the energy equivalent to 'burning away hundreds of main battle clones' was consumed, Starlight finally opened the altar.

The instant the altar's illusory image separated—

Luo Feng saw a book.

Books suspended in the center of the altar.

"Whoosh." Starlight immediately split into a clone and entered the center of the altar.

The altar then returned to its closed state, shrouded in layers of illusory shadows.

“My clone has entered the core of the altar and can stay there for a long time.” Xingmang smiled at Luo Feng. “Thanks.”

"That book?" Luo Feng asked.

“The manifestation of the essence of the mysterious ‘Record Corridor’,” Xingmang laughed. “If I can refine it, I can control this mysterious place.”

"Is refining it difficult?" Luo Feng asked.

“The Land of Records is only part of time and space; the core is the ‘Way of Cause and Effect.’” Starlight didn’t hide anything. “However, my spacetime path is powerful enough, and with your help, I was able to force my way in! In the years to come, I need to cooperate with the Origin to act as the ‘Recorder.’ As long as I do a good enough job and spend more time, I can still control the Recording Corridor.”

Luo Feng nodded happily.

He saw the book and sensed its hidden power, determining that the 'Record Corridor' was a medium-level mysterious place. If Starburst's strength could increase, it would also benefit the entire cultivator camp.

"This altar phantom can't see itself?" Luo Feng asked, looking at it. "Have you ever seen me?"

“Of course I’ve seen it,” Xingmang laughed. “In the Endless Chaotic Space, your blade is the strongest.”

Luo Feng smiled.

Luo Feng wasn't particularly skilled in the spacetime causality and other aspects of the 'Record Corridor'. After spending some time in the Record Corridor and seeing some possible future scenarios of 'Naigu', 'Yuan', and 'Minghuang', Luo Feng finally left.

The core of the altar.

Xingmang sat cross-legged, holding a pen in one hand and a book in the other, taking notes.

“Luo Feng.” Xingmang looked up.

Looking outwards from the core of the altar, one can see layers of illusory images, and occasionally, images appear within these layers. The starlight saw one such image—

It was a dark and majestic hall, the aura emanating from which was enough to make the entire endless primordial space tremble.

Inside the main hall, there is a main seat, with 108 seats arranged on either side of it.

Seated in the main seat was a towering figure—it was Luo Feng!

Seated on either side of him were 108 figures, including Demon Ruins, Jin, Kafshu, the Endless Ancestor, and even Sha Zhou...

"The largest camp in the future!" Xingmang lowered his head again and continued recording. He had seen this scene of Luo Feng too many times.
