Chapter 132 Tracking
Chapter 132 Tracking
Steve was surprised by Tony's concession. He was stunned for a moment, as if he really knew Tony for the first time, and looked him up and down again.
However, Tony just responded with a disdainful eye roll, as if to say, "What are you looking at?"
Fury coughed lightly, breaking the brief silence. His voice was low and firm: "Okay, go ahead. In view of the seriousness of this incident, we must establish good relations with the country of Wakanda."
He turned to look at Tony, his eyes serious. "After these days of investigation, we found that the reason why Wakanda has such advanced technology is all thanks to the rare metal Vibranium. Tony, you should be familiar with this metal."
Tony shook his head, with a hint of helplessness and boredom in his tone: "Those are all my father's research, I haven't been exposed to them much. However, it is obvious that this metal is not suitable for making iron armor, so don't even think about asking me to study vibranium. It's better to let the old guy who has been playing with the vibranium shield for decades talk about feelings with those primitive people."
“I feel like they must be able to get along well.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Steve's face darkened instantly. He swore that no one had ever made him hate him so much.
Fury had anticipated Tony's rejection, but he didn't let Steve waste time on this matter. He paused and told him the arrangement he had already thought of.
"Agent May."
"exist!"
"You stay here as the liaison between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Wakanda, and collect all the intelligence about Wakanda as soon as possible. Also, I will have someone bring Hawkeye here. The medical level in Wakanda is much higher than ours, and there may be a way to wake him up. We have helped them so much, they will definitely not refuse."
Agent Mei nodded solemnly: "Yes!"
"As for you captains."
Fury glanced at Steve and Eddie and said in a deep voice: "There is a more important mission waiting for you."
Steve and Eddie looked at each other. They felt an unquestionable sense of urgency in Fury's tone.
"What's the mission?" Steve was the first to break the silence.
Fury frowned slightly, as if he was considering how to word.
"I want you to go to South America. According to the latest intelligence, the situation there is deteriorating rapidly, and something extremely bad is brewing."
Steve's expression suddenly turned gloomy: "Is it related to the mysterious incident again?"
"of course."
Fury nodded seriously and said, "The relevant information will be handed over to you soon. By then, you should have boarded the plane to South America."
Eddie sighed, a bad feeling rising in his heart. He couldn't avoid the mission after trying to dodge it several times.
Fortunately, this time I am on a mission with the captain and have someone to lean on.
Inside the cafe, Parker wore a low-key dark hat, slowly stirring the coffee cup with the silver spoon in his hand, but his eyes were fixed on the familiar figure in the cake shop across the street.
The sunlight came in through the window, casting tiny shadows on his slightly furrowed brows.
He never thought that after that incident, Anna could continue to work in the cake shop as if nothing had happened.
What was even more unacceptable to him was that he had actually followed her like a stalker on her rare day off, with mixed emotions in his heart.
"I'm not a pervert."
Parker said silently to himself, "I just want to get information about the god and the mysterious person from Anna."
He tried to convince himself and calm his heart.
However, when he looked up at the cake shop again, he found that Anna had disappeared. Anxiety suddenly surged in his heart, as if an invisible hand was tightly grasping his heart.
Parker's breathing became rapid. He stood up quickly, almost knocking over the coffee cup on the table. His eyes searched back and forth on the street, trying to find the familiar figure. Every disappointment was like a heavy hammer, hitting his heart hard.
"Anna, where have you been?" Parker shouted anxiously in his heart.
He knew that today's opportunity was fleeting, and if he missed it, he might never be able to obtain any valuable information from her again.
Parker walked quickly out of the cafe and stood on the street, scanning the surroundings with eyes as sharp as a hawk.
He did not miss any pedestrian or corner.
Just when he was about to give up, a familiar figure appeared at the entrance of an alley not far away.
Parker's heart skipped a beat, as if he saw a ray of hope. He took a deep breath, feeling the air in his chest become fresher, and then he quickly chased after him.
In the dimly lit alley, Parker lost Anna again.
His pace slowed down, his eyes searched around anxiously, sweat rolled down his forehead, and his heart beat violently in his chest like a war drum.
Suddenly, a shadow flashed through his mind, and his body instinctively lunged forward, just in time to avoid the fierce attack from behind.
However, the next second, Parker's collar was grabbed by a strong force and his body was pulled over involuntarily.
The force was strong and familiar, leaving him almost no room to resist. He was pressed heavily against the cold wall of the alley, and a piercing chill ran down his back.
Just as he was trying to regulate his breathing and preparing to fight back, a pair of lips with a fresh fragrance came close to him.
"Huh!" Parker suddenly opened his eyes wide and looked at Anna who was so close to him in disbelief.
There was a complex emotion in her eyes, including anger and a hint of deeply hidden tenderness.
A thousand emotions surged in Parker's heart, surprise, anger, and confusion intertwined together, making him speechless for a moment and he even closed his eyes.
After a long time, Parker suddenly pushed Anna away, his eyes burning like fire, staring at her angrily, his voice almost squeezed out from between his teeth: "What are you going to do?!"
Anna chuckled, with a sly look in her eyes, and her originally innocent face instantly became extremely charming: “Why, didn’t you come to see me?”
Her laughter was as clear as a silver bell, yet it carried an unsettling charm.
Anna approached slowly, her steps light but firm, like a beautiful but dangerous cheetah.
She took a light sniff of Parker's breath, an expression of intoxication and joy on her face, as if she had smelled the most beautiful fragrance in the world.
"It smells good."
She whispered, her voice as soft as a feather: "You have indeed become a mystic."
"Also?" Parker's heart skipped a beat and he looked at Anna in surprise, "You are also a mysterious person?"
Anna’s eyes flashed with pride: “Of course, my stupid boyfriend, you guessed it now?”
"Boy friend?"
Parker's voice was trembling, his face was full of confusion and puzzlement, "I, when will I..."
Anna licked her lips, her smile was a bit naughty and teasing: "Why, you don't admit it?"
Parker's face turned red instantly.
