Chapter 14 Date Invitation!
"Aren't you going there?"

Judy said nothing more. Without the ghost staring at her, she felt much more relaxed. After Sean got back in the car and drove away from the school, she asked in a cheerful tone.

"Let me take you home first!" Sean explained.

"I'm not going home! I want to stay with you!" Judy begged, "Mom and Dad will be leaving soon anyway.

I'm going to be spending most of my time with you from now on, right?
Now just take me with you.

I promise not to bother you!
I can read quietly!"

To make her argument more convincing, she patted her big schoolbag.

"No!" Sean still refused: "Go back and stay with your parents first. When they go out, stay with the nanny first. I will go back after I finish my work.

It is absolutely impossible to take you with me!"

"Why?" Judy was puzzled: "Didn't you say that there are no things around you that scare me?"

She was skeptical at first, but just now, Sean killed the ghost of the priest that had been bothering her with a flying knife without saying anything to her. Now she completely understood what Sean meant.

"There's an old Jewish guy over there!" Sean said concisely.

"..." Judy didn't quite understand, but seeing that Sean's attitude was enough to explain everything and he didn't want to accept any further questions, she could only remain silent.

The car drove to Warren's house. Sean let her get off the car, watched the Warrens take her in, and then drove to the coroner's office.

It's the daily routine of checking in and dissecting corpses.

What made him happy was that there were more corpses today and he was busy until nightfall.

A few more legs from the daily accumulation of mosquito legs were enough to put Sean in a good mood.

He didn't insist on meeting the immortal forensic doctor who was avoiding him or practicing the art of extreme pressure. He just notified him through the intercom and drove away.

Inside a mansion.

Maria, a long-haired girl, is dressing herself in front of the bathroom mirror. Tonight is Thursday, the weekly father-daughter movie night.

She was in a good mood.

But it was not because she was about to go to the movies with her father as usual, but because Sean's performance in the principal's office had already spread throughout the school and naturally reached her ears.

"you are not happy?"

Maria looked in the mirror and saw that she was not as happy as she was, which made her unhappy.

"I'm not unhappy, I'm just a little worried." Maria in the mirror sighed.

"What are you worried about?" Maria's smile froze.

"Sean is staying, but what's next?" Maria in the mirror reminded: "He's about to graduate, and he'll only stay for half a year, and then go to the big city.

If you don't take the initiative sooner rather than later, he won't even remember that you've ever been in his life.

Are you willing? "

"What should I do? I'll ask Lily..." Maria said as she was about to take out her cell phone.

"Ask her?" Maria in the mirror laughed, "What's the use of asking her? She doesn't care about you at all!"

"No, Lily is my best friend and has been since we were little!" Maria retorted, shaking her head.

"That's all your wishful thinking..." Maria in the mirror sneered and exaggerated all the ways in which her best friend Lily had hurt her feelings unintentionally over the years. Seeing that she still couldn't be moved, she used her trump card.

“If Lily really cared about you, why would she often make out with her Sean in front of you, completely ignoring you right next to her?
She is a girl too!
Doesn't she know how much this turns you on?

Doesn't she know that you have desires too?

If she really cares about you, why doesn't she care about your feelings at all.

She's just showing off that she has her Sean and you don't!

If you ask her about this now, she will just keep you away from your own Sean under the banner of doing it for your own good. This way she can always maintain her superiority!

How could you possibly have a better Sean than hers?
So, come on!

Stretch out your hands and kiss me.

Let me teach you how to have our own Sean!

I promise, you will love this feeling!"

Just as Maria was feeling conflicted and excited, she was bewitched by herself in the mirror and reached out her hand to the mirror and put her mouth close to it. When she was about to do so, she was interrupted by shouts from outside.

It was her father who called her to go to the movies.

She ran out of the bathroom in fright, leaving Maria in the mirror, hammering the mirror with a ferocious look of unwillingness.

in a small town.

In the cinema, Maria shrank back uncomfortably. She finally waited until the movie ended. When she came out, she unexpectedly saw Sean coming out of the store.

Glancing at her confident and outspoken self reflected in the mirror on the shop window and remembering the previous reminder, she mustered up the courage to call out to Sean.

This surprised both Sean and Maria's dad.

"Dad, this is my new classmate Sean, he helped me." Maria nervously introduced both parties.

"Sean, this is my dad, Dr. Brennan! Didn't you say you wanted to be a good doctor in the future? Maybe my dad can give you some guidance."

"Hello, Dr. Brennan." Sean became interested and took the initiative to shake hands with Dr. Brennan.

"Hello." Dr. Brennan frowned and glanced at his daughter, then responded indifferently, with no intention of extending his hand back to shake.

"Dad!" Maria looked at her father anxiously because of his bad attitude.

"Sean, right? It's good to have ambition, but becoming a doctor is not that easy. You also need to study hard and down-to-earth!" Dr. Brennan finally reached out and shook hands with Sean.

"Thank you for your advice, Dr. Brennan! I've been working very hard!" Sean smiled and said, "I wonder what Dr. Brennan's specialty is?"

“I’m a plastic surgeon!”

As soon as Dr. Brennan finished speaking, he keenly noticed that Sean's enthusiasm had disappeared, and he couldn't help but secretly curse in his heart that this boy really knew a lot about medicine.

Because in the medical contempt chain, plastic surgeons are indeed at the bottom and are always looked down upon by cardiac surgeons and neurosurgeons.

Sean's attitude changed so smoothly that if he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would have thought he had met a surgical colleague who was high up in the contempt chain.

"Maria, are you guys going to the movies together?" Sean stopped seeing Dr. Brennan, but did not leave immediately so as not to disappoint Maria's kindness.

"Yeah." Maria blocked the movie ticket stub unnaturally.

"This kind of movie is more suitable for young people to watch together. Maria, let's go to the movies together sometime in the future?" Sean looked at Dr. Brennan meaningfully, then extended an invitation to Maria and waved goodbye without waiting for her answer.

Dr. Brennan's face suddenly turned grim.

This is their Brennan family tradition!
Father-daughter movie night!

What qualifications do you, an outsider, have to make comments?
And she even made an appointment with his daughter in front of him!
Maria's expression was embarrassed at first, then surprised.

The embarrassing thing was that Sean could see her unnaturalness.

This is a love movie!
She is about to go to college, and her father still brings her to watch the movie every week. The only audience members in the cinema are couples, who hug each other when they see the "highlights" of the movie.

Her father could watch calmly, but she wished she could curl up and not let others see her.

She didn't have the courage to reject this tradition.

Now Sean not only noticed her embarrassment, but also took the initiative to invite her out. How could she not be extremely happy?
