Chapter 21 Victor

In a Gothic manor building on the outskirts of Budapest.

In the basement of this building, there is a secret room where two elders of the vampire clan, Marcus and Victor, are sleeping.

Selina looked through the glass at the coffin where Victor was sleeping embedded in the ground, and murmured, "I'm sorry, Victor, I need your guidance."

Just a while ago, she did not jump out of the window of Michael's apartment, but hid outside the window, eavesdropping on the conversation between Jonathan and others.

Once it was confirmed that Lucian was still alive, then what Jonathan said about Lucian and Craven being in collusion was most likely true.

So she rushed back impatiently, wanting to wake up Victor, because she didn't know what to do now.

After saying that, she walked into the hall and came to Victor's coffin. After squatting, she reached out and turned the switch.

After a series of complex mechanical changes, the coffin where Victor was sleeping slowly rose from the ground, then turned sideways and appeared in front of Selena.

She looked at Victor, who looked like a mummy, and a feeling of admiration arose in her heart.

Six hundred years ago, her parents were brutally murdered by werewolves. It was Victor who turned her into a vampire, giving her the power to avenge her parents.

From that day on, Victor took the place of her parents in her heart.

Looking at Victor, Selena gradually became stunned.

As far as she knew, the awakening ceremony had never been performed by someone of her generation.

The elders all have the ability to organize their memories and thoughts into a coherent vision and detailed record.

But Selena had never done such a thing before, so she was not sure whether she could accurately convey what she was thinking to Victor.

Now, she could only hope that Victor could hear her request.

Then, Selina kept thinking back to what she had encountered in the past few days, trying to organize these memories into a coherent picture.

Then, she bit her wrist and let her blood drip drop by drop into the blood groove of the coffin.

The blood flowed along the blood trough, passed through the pipe, and dripped into Victor's slightly open mouth.

Countless memories, like a tangled mass of hemp ropes, are in disarray.

In the end, Victor could only clearly see Selina talking to herself in the mirror, "Forgive me, but I really need your guidance."

"I'm sorry to wake you up early. I'm afraid we may be in the middle of a crisis."

"Especially you, my master, you are so weak now."

"Because I believe Lucien is still alive and well. In this city."

"He was going to attack us during the awakening ceremony."

"What's more worrying is that, if I'm not mistaken, Lucian and Kraven are in cahoots."

After the awakening ceremony was over, Selena used a blood pack to replenish Victor's blood.

His body, which had become dry due to years of sleep, regained its vitality with the nourishment of blood.

At this time, the vampire in charge of guarding the Hall of Sleep also discovered that Selina was inside, so he quickly notified Kraven.

With the arrival of Kraven.

Selena was seen standing alone in the Hall of Sleep.

"What are you doing? Do you know that your behavior just now embarrassed me?" Kraven asked Selina angrily.

Selena's absence from the previous dance made him lose face, so now he is very angry with Selena.

He didn't even care why she appeared in the Hall of Sleep.

"Who gave you permission to speak to my child like that?"

Suddenly, a majestic voice came from behind the stone throne that symbolized the power of the vampire family.

Hearing this voice, Kraven felt his whole body tremble.

He would never forget this majestic voice.

Looking at Victor, who had just recovered a little, he walked out from behind the throne tremblingly.

Selina and Kraven fell to their knees in an instant.

Said respectfully, "My Master." Victor slowly walked to the throne and sat down.

Looking at the two people kneeling on the ground.

He said slowly, "Get up."

Kraven was extremely nervous at the moment, but he still stood up tremblingly.

Cold sweat kept pouring down my forehead.

"Do you know why I was awakened? My servant?" Victor asked Kraven word by word.

"I don't know, master." Kraven answered with his head down.

Then he looked at Serena beside him.

Selena was the only one here just now, so it was undoubtedly Selena who woke Victor up.

"Don't look at her, look at me, servant!" Victor interrupted Kraven.

Hearing this, Kraven quickly lowered his head and no longer dared to look at Selina.

"You know, Selina has shown me a lot of troublesome things. Including the corruption and depravity of this family. Maybe I need to find someone else to handle my affairs for me."

Although she clearly heard Selina accusing Kraven and Lucien of being in cahoots, her memory was messy.

It only caught his attention as one human being who was a little bit special.

That's Jonathan.

It seemed that Serena was very impressed with him.

So now Victor didn't really think that Kraven had betrayed him, but his incompetence was already a foregone conclusion.

As a wave of memories came back, Victor felt a splitting headache.

Because there was no concept of time in the memories that Selena passed on to him, all the memories became disorganized.

Looking at Victor's painful expression.

Kraven said in a servile manner, "Master, you need to rest."

However, these words seemed to have stung Victor's nerves, in this case, any superior who had just awakened from a long sleep.

When he heard his subordinates tell him that what they needed was rest, he would suspect that they were trying to seize power.

"I've rested enough. What you need to do now is to call Marcus over!" Victor said sternly.

Kraven first looked at the location of Marcus' coffin, and then said, "But master, Marcus is still sleeping."

"Amelia and the members of the council will arrive tomorrow night to wake Marcus."

"It is not you who should be awakened, my master."

"You have awakened a whole century early."

Hearing this, Victor looked at Kraven in disbelief.

Then he turned to look at Serena beside him.

"Selena." Victor called out.

"I am here, Master," Selina responded.

Seeing Victor's attention shifted to Selina, Kraven finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm sorry, Master. I'm lost." Seeing that Victor was just looking at her without saying anything, Selena immediately knelt down and said.

"Kraven keeps pestering me, and it wears me out physically and mentally."

Hearing Selina pointing the finger at him again, Kraven was so frightened that he trembled again and almost fell down.

Victor smiled and said, "It's the oldest story in the book. He wanted something that he could never have."

After saying that, Victor looked at Kraven who was shivering beside him.

Then he turned his gaze back to Serena and asked "Now, tell me. What makes you think Lucien is still alive?"
