Chapter 336 Nick's Mistake

Chapter 336 Nick's Mistake

Harry suddenly felt that Nick's thoughts tonight might break through.

The ghost named Patrick Dilani Podmore was obviously a level higher than Nick.

Although Nick obviously didn't just target the Headless Hunters' necks.

He first set up the stage, and then waited for the Headless Hunters to arrive before starting dinner.

According to Nick's idea, the Headless Hunter team should go straight to the stage and let them experience the feeling of having the limelight snatched away by Nick himself.

Then there were the Headless Hunters, who were much sought after by ghosts, boasting of being famous and performing on stage in an attempt to attract the attention of the guests.

Ghosts who have never come into contact with food since death will obviously not be attracted.

This was the second slap in the face Nick had prepared for them.

In the end, it is probably to cancel their broken necks and not be able to eat.

These preparations seem to be very thorough. Even if reality does not develop exactly as Nick prepared, the hunters still have to eat.

And these are all juicy dishes that Nick specially prepared.

This is why Nick still looks so confident.

But, Harry doubted it, the ghost named Patrick Delaney Podmore had clearly noticed.

Because he also had a confident smile on his face.

But the next second, Harry began to doubt whether he was overthinking it.

All members of the Headless Hunter Team have more or less juice leaking from their necks.

They seemed unaware and continued to eat with relish.

The smile on Nick's face grew more pronounced, and he began to slowly float toward the stage, as if ready to fire at the Hunters.

"Everyone, please pay attention. I'm going to speak now!" Nearly Headless Nick shouted, striding towards the podium and coming into the cold blue spotlight.

"Has everyone had their meal and drink?" Nick asked with a smile.

He looked at the almost empty plates on the transparent dining table. Everyone had put down their knives and forks except for a fat ghost who was still chewing slowly.

They all looked at Nick and the tempting cake not far from him.

uh-huh.

Nick cleared his throat, the smile in his eyes becoming more obvious when he saw the dirt on the Headless Hunters, especially their captain Patrick.

".Okay, then let's invite the most famous headless hunters in our ghost world. You can also start eating cake. Oops, how come I forgot about your head and neck--" Nick covered his mouth exaggeratedly and said pretentiously.

What he wanted more was that Patrick's face was filled with undisguised anger.

"I guess I can't perform for a ghost like you." Patrick blew a loud whistle, and the ghost horses scurried over to him and his team.

"Are you dirty? Do you want me to help you? I'm not a stingy person, even though you have repeatedly refused me to join your team." Nick pretended to be concerned.

"Oh, that's why you forgot the thing you should never forget!" Patrick rode on the ghost horse and ran to the center of the stage.

For some reason, he looked awe-inspiring at this moment, and the dirt on his body did not affect him at all.

"What's the matter? There's still some skin between my head and my neck?" Nick laughed dryly.

The ghosts in the audience all looked at them.

"Let's not talk about this for now. I have something to ask you. Dumbledore helped prepare these foods, right?" Patrick changed the subject.

"It's for the anniversary of my death," Nick emphasized.

"No, it's for us, the guests attending your death anniversary!"

"And you, on the other hand, have been deliberately stalling for time, starving everyone and insisting on waiting for us to come!"

Nick froze when he heard that. He could lie and say that he wanted to wait until everyone was gathered before starting the party.

But Nick is not that kind of person.

Apparently Patrick knew it too. "Look at this cake!"

"You know there are living people attending your party, right?"

"It's still Harry Potter, the Harry Potter who allows us to eat!"

"You understand what you should never forget."

Nick's face turned pale, and he understood subconsciously.

The ghosts in the audience also started discussing and pointing fingers at Nick.

"Look at the light! And the temperature!"

"Does Harry Potter and his friends have anything to eat?" Patrick pressed on.

"We're not hungry," said Ron loudly, as his stomach growled.

"Not hungry? I-" Patrick tried to continue but Nick interrupted him.

"enough!"

"I did come here to take revenge on you!"

"Revenge for not letting me join the Headless Hunters!"

"So much so that I forgot the real purpose of this dinner - to make everyone happy!"

"It doesn't matter if this joy is brought by you, the Headless Hunters. I shouldn't be so petty as to forget that I still have living friends who are going to attend the dinner."

"You know, they gave up the lively Halloween dinner, sumptuous food, living friends, and the famous Skeleton Band for me."

"And I forgot everything you needed." Almost Headless Nick said in a low voice, looking at the guests in the audience with shame.

"No, Nick, you didn't forget about us. You know, you mentioned us on the cake," Harry said quickly.

"Okay! I was wrong too."

"Hey! Nick, I didn't mean that I didn't let you join our Headless Hunter team."

"I mean I shouldn't upstage you at your party." Patrick took his head off and made a face.

The ghosts in the audience immediately applauded; even Bloody Baron twitched a few times.

"Thank you, thank you for forgiving me. But, Harry, you should leave quickly. If you leave now, you may still be able to make it to the Halloween dinner."

"Finally, I want to say sorry to everyone."

Nick's voice became less and less distinct as he followed Harry and the others out of the room.

"Good, Nearly Headless Nick realized his mistake."

"I hope there's some food left when I get up there." Ron said with hope in his eyes.

"Ron, I don't think you need to worry about that."

"Crabbe and Goyle must have a lot of food piled up around them."

"We can help them after we go up."

"You know, I think they should have lost some weight a long time ago."

"It would be nice to lose weight like that Dudley," Draco teased.

"Why did you mention Dudley?" said Ron glumly.

It reminded him of the time when he foolishly thought that Harry had cursed Dudley to make him thinner.

"You don't know?"

"Crabbe and Goyle want to join the Slytherin team, but they're not strong enough."

"And Dudley relied on his muscular body and magic that could exert force on the flying broomstick to become the new goalkeeper." Draco said lightly.
