My enemies became my companions

Chapter 201 Vomiting Lotus Flowers from the Mouth

Chapter 201 Vomiting Lotus Flowers from the Mouth
Thousands of acres of colored glaze create a tranquil atmosphere inside the pagoda.

Along the way, they also encountered several flesh-and-blood Buddhas, all of whom were chopped to pieces by Chen Yi's sword.

Yin Tingxue then recited scriptures for the salvation of souls.

The more the nun looked at it, the stranger it seemed.

This daughter of King Xiang doesn't look like a mountain person at all. Although she has the ability of clairaudience, she has never practiced it properly. How can she perform the art of salvation?
Could it be that this cousin from the same clan secretly practiced Buddhism? Why, isn't she afraid that Chen Yi would find out?

There are many different opinions about the Buddhist realm, and each sect has its own views, but the common point is the Three Vehicles and Ten Stages. The so-called Three Vehicles are commonly known as the Hinayana, the Mahayana, and the Mahayana.

For example, the eminent monk from the Western Regions could be recognized at first glance as a follower of the Hinayana Buddhism of the Tantric school, but he also seemed to have been influenced by China and had also practiced some Mahayana Zen principles.

As for Yin Tingxue in front of her, the nun could not tell which of the three vehicles she belonged to. It seemed as if she was beyond the three vehicles.

"Thus I have heard, once the Buddha was in the Jetavana Grove in the country of Savatthi..."

Yin Tingxue muttered softly, and the soul inside the Buddha's body gathered along with the girl's voice.

The soul gradually took on a human form, feeling sad and happy at times. Seeing this scene, the nun secretly smacked her lips:

She did not perform any rituals, did not count her rosary beads, and did not wear a cassock. She simply relied on the scriptures to guide these souls into the six realms of reincarnation.

Isn't this the legendary speaking eloquently and having the Dharma come true as soon as one speaks?

How many monks have recited scriptures and meditated for their entire lives, but could not achieve this. If her ability in this pagoda were to be seen by others, wouldn't those monks who think they have attained enlightenment be so exhausted that they would vomit blood and develop three thousand strands of worries overnight?
Yin Weiying thought it was a good thing that she was not taken away by his master Yu Zhen Yuanjun, otherwise she would become a person who competed for Taoism in the future and would suppress him day and night. Wouldn't his Taoism be dimmed until the day he died?

Having Wuming is already bad luck, and if there is another person who fights for the truth, then there will be no day for me to turn things around...

The souls gathered into the wind and flew towards the depths of the corridor. Chen Yi saw this scene.

Yin Weiying was amazed at the magical powers of King Xiang's daughter, and so was he.

However, compared with Yin Weiying, he was more cautious.

Yin Tingxue said that the Medicine Buddha had a face like hers. Could it be that in this pagoda, this little fox was already regarded as half a Medicine Buddha, or the successor of the Medicine Buddha?

In addition, the nun had asked her to emulate Sakyamuni Buddha and transcend the secular world...

It is visible to the naked eye that this is another plan by immortals and Buddhas.

The crowd continued to move forward, walking in the dazzling corridor.

The path to which those souls go is the same as the path they took.

Yin Weiying was confused, but she wasn't confused for long.

We had probably reached the very center of the pagoda, which was surrounded by circles of corridors. Looking up, it felt like we were in a towering tower reaching to the sky. In the center of the circle, a Buddha statue holding a lotus rose from the ground.

The solemn Buddha statue seems to be smiling.

Yin Weiying saw with his own eyes that the countless souls converted by the daughter of King Xiang all merged into the lotus like wisps of smoke.

It was as if the six realms of reincarnation were contained in that stone lotus.

The corridor extends to a staircase leading to a stone lotus.

Chen Yi did not act rashly. Instead, he asked the three women to stay where they were and looked around himself.

There are no other roads around, only thick walls. If you knock on them gently, you can hear a dull echo, proving that they are solid.

There was only this one road, so everyone had to walk slowly forward and step onto the stairs.

As they approached the stone lotus.

The Buddha statue suddenly emitted a halo of light.

The golden and white halo suddenly engulfed all vision. The surrounding scene seemed to be rapidly losing color and then quickly filling it up, distorting and changing in secret.

After the halo dissipates.

There are thick weeds, the setting sun is shining obliquely, a little smoke is rising in the distance, and broken tiles can be seen when looking up. The scene in front of me looks like a ruined temple.

Everyone was stunned.

It was Yin Weiying who reacted first and said:
"One flower, one world. This pagoda actually has its own... small world."

Chen Yi came back to his senses after hearing this. He had passed the level once before. Although he had never set foot in the Hehuan Sect in his previous life, he had some understanding of the magical powers of both Buddhism and Taoism.

The scene before my eyes was undoubtedly the magical power of the Buddhist small world.

And as they came over, there was only one road.

This means that King Annan is most likely somewhere in this small world, or at the end of the small world.

Thinking of this, Chen Yi calmed down.

Yin Tingxue and the two girls from the Eastern Palace looked around curiously and exclaimed in amazement. To them, this was something that had never happened before.

Behind the crowd is a Buddha statue with a big belly and a big laugh. It is undoubtedly Maitreya Buddha.

The pillars around the house were covered with cobwebs, but the Buddha statue was spotless, as if someone cleaned it regularly. While Chen Yi was observing the details, he heard a sound of footsteps outside the door.

A young monk carrying a broom walked in, and his eyes widened when he saw four more people suddenly appear.

"Who are you all?!"

The little monk shouted.

Chen Yi came back to his senses, looked at the little monk, and asked first:

"Where is this place?"

The little monk rolled his eyes and said:
"It's just a small village, Qianfo Village."

Qianfo Village... Such a village name sounds strange to me.

After thinking for a while, Chen Yi said:
"Take us there."

The young monk remained expressionless, nodded, immediately put down his broom, walked in front and led the way.

He led a group of people out of the ruined temple, and in the distance they could see wisps of smoke curling in the sky.

The village road was covered with weeds and dimly lit by the setting sun. The young monk heard the man asking random questions, some of which were simple, while others were difficult to answer.

One of the men asked why this place was called Thousand Buddha Village, and the young monk told him the truth:
"Every family here worships Buddha, everyone has scriptures, and there are many Buddha statues, so it is called the Thousand Buddha Village."

"So, you're just bragging?"

When the young monk heard this, he became angry and said:

"Monks do not tell lies. If they say there are a thousand Buddhas, then there are definitely a thousand Buddhas, and there are more than that!"

Chen Yi lowered his eyes and thought.

He won't let go of any clue.

The little monk's words revealed a hint of weirdness. Why would a small village worship thousands of Buddha statues?
You can't be just full and have nothing to do, right?

The little monk in front of him walked absent-mindedly, as if he was thinking about something.

A series of faint footprints were left on the village road. The branches and leaves of the trees on both sides were intertwined, making it even darker under the setting sun.

It is best to hide people in places like this.

Eight steps, seven steps, six steps...

The little monk counted secretly.

The next moment, his hair stood on end!

The bright silver knife light came from behind him!

"careful!"

A black shadow suddenly jumped out of the forest and rushed the little monk away like lightning.

The sword cut through the air, but the sword energy left a hideous crack on the ground.

Chen Yi had a blank expression on his face, while the three women behind him were extremely surprised. Even they did not expect Chen Yi to suddenly attack.

The black shadow pounced on the little monk and rolled him several times, then got up hastily. He was built strong and looked like the farmers around him. He looked at Chen Yi with hostility.

"There's a thief! There's a thief!"

Noises were heard one after another in the dense forest. Dark shadows holding sticks, forks, spears, and even farm tools rushed out of the forest. They faced the group of four with fierce looks on their faces.

..............................

The spires of the Buddhist temples glowed with golden light, the sun was setting in the west, the mountains were shrouded in rosy clouds, and the river flowed in a deep ultramarine color.

There are many Buddha statues standing in the village.

The old abbot of Maitreya Temple has always abided by the rules of the temple. He is the backbone of the temple and the village chief of the entire Thousand Buddha Village.

Here, everyone cultivates the "Buddha's field" and chants Buddhist teachings. Golden rice grows in the fields, and when the wind blows, the fields look like a sea of gold.

"How's the harvest this year?"

The old abbot asked the clerk beside him.

"It is richer than in previous years. There are piles of gold on the carts, enough to fill seven or eight carts."

The scribe stretched out his hands and gestured, the fields were like gold, the people were like silver, he spoke excitedly, it seemed that Qianfo Village had ushered in a great harvest.

"Namo, the future Maitreya Buddha, will be born. He will be able to build more Buddha statues."

The old abbot chanted the Buddha's name softly, his brows filled with joy.

When there is grain, people do not eat it but use it to make Buddha statues. This has been a strict rule in Qianfo Village since ancient times.

It may seem strange outside, but it is absolutely true here.

"Where's Kongming? Why hasn't he come back yet?"

For no reason, the old abbot thought of a smart young monk.

"Him? Abbot, didn't you send him to clean up the dilapidated temple outside the village?"

The scribe said so.

The old abbot frowned:
"According to the time, it's time to come back."

Suddenly, there were noises coming from outside.

A monk rushed in quickly.

"Oh no, oh no! Another foreign demon has come and killed so many people!"

The old abbot was stunned for a moment, his eyes widened bigger than copper bells.

Then he stood up suddenly, understood something, and shouted:
"Nonsense! You must have been the first to start!"

..............................

There was blood all over the floor.

The cold wind blew through the dense forest, causing the leaves to rustle.

The two Yin girls turned pale when they saw this scene, while Chen Yi had no expression on his face. As for Miss Donggong, she was actually quite cheerful.

The difference between their natures is clearly visible.

Chen Yi threw the corpse off the knife, and the villagers who surrounded him with all kinds of rough weapons all looked terrified.

The person in front of me looks like an evil ghost.

When he killed someone, his eyes were as calm as if he was mowing the grass.

It can be seen that when he killed someone, he had no murderous intention in his mind;

Chen Yi took a step forward, and the villagers took two steps back.

Chen Yi looked around at the group of villagers. If he wanted, no one here would survive, not until now.

The reason for doing so is to give them the opportunity to tip off.

Gather all the difficulties together and cut them in half with one knife. It is simple, direct and effective. This is the killing knife.

Behind the villagers, on the desolate and muddy village road, a series of hurried footsteps and panting sounds were heard.

Chen Yi was already a fourth-rank warrior and could hear someone coming from afar.

And now, it's getting closer.

The visitor was wearing a monk's robe and holding a Zen staff. His face was full of impatience, but compassion could be seen in his pale eyebrows.

As soon as he arrived, the villagers who were originally in a panic seemed to calm down, and at his command, they all made way for him.

The old abbot slowly walked up to Chen Yi, clasped his hands together and said:
"Sorry for bothering me, benefactor. This is all a misunderstanding. Namo..."

The words have not yet fallen.

The vertical blade light slashed down like moonlight!
The old abbot's kind-looking head was split in half from the top of the head, blood splattered everywhere, and the crack extended to his lips.

His eyes widened, as if in shock, but his old, wrinkled lips uttered a Buddhist chant:

"Namo the future Buddha Maitreya..."
