Chapter 8 Peter: I Almost Thought I Was Going to Die
"What did you say? But didn't you just say..."

The attacker was stunned.

"I just said I can dissolve Spider-Man's silk, but I never said I would let you go. You don't want to add another slander to your crime, do you?"

Harry said as if it was a matter of course.

"Also, I actually don't know how to dissolve spider silk quickly. I lied to you."

"Harry OSBORNE!!!"

The attacker glared at him and gritted his teeth.

"Oh, yes, I almost forgot about this."

Harry seemed to suddenly remember something and turned back to the attacker.

Under the latter's murderous gaze, he blocked his mouth again, then stood up and left.

Beep~beep~beep~
At this moment, a sirens sounded suddenly, coming from far away.

"Tsk, New York police are always so punctual."

Harry looked at his watch. It had been exactly five minutes since the attack began.

To be honest, it was a little shorter than Harry had expected. From the perspective of the person involved, he thought it would take at least twenty minutes.

"You two, this place is now under the control of the New York Police Department. Please leave the scene."

Harry walked forward and saw a female police officer talking to Iron Man and Spider-Man, as if she was trying to chase them away.

There were more than a dozen policemen around, busy carrying the "worm cocoons" on the ground into the police car.

"Hey, Yuri, we're just trying to help. There's no need to kick us out right away, right?"

Spider-Man seemed very familiar with her and started talking to her very naturally.

"Excuse me, Spider-boy, I know you want to help, but these are the rules, and you've already done enough."

Yuri said firmly.

"You know this pretty police officer, Pyjama Boy?"

Iron Man looked at Spider-Man and asked curiously.

"She is Yuri Watanabe, a captain of the New York Police Department. She is an old friend of mine." Spider-Man introduced Yuri enthusiastically, "Also, my name is not Pajama Boy, I am Spider-Man."

"I don't know when we became friends." Yuri said noncommittally.

"Come on, you can't always undermine me, Yuri."

Spider-Man spread his hands helplessly.

Just then, Yuri suddenly looked away and behind Spider-Man with a serious expression.

"Sir, you are a direct victim of this terrorist attack. We need to ask you some questions later. I hope you will cooperate."

"No problem, officer, but I need your help with something else."

Harry came over and said with a worried expression, "I have a friend who disappeared in the attack just now. His name is Peter Parker, and he is a graduate of Midtown High School. I don't know if he is still alive now."

Upon hearing this, Spider-Man's face suddenly changed. Fortunately, his mask was fully covered and no one noticed the change in his expression.

"Ahem, Yuri, I have to go patrol somewhere else. I'll leave this place to you guys."

Spider-Man said something and swung away using spider silk.

"This kid is still so irritable."

Yuri looked at his receding back and shook his head, then turned to Harry and said seriously: "Don't worry, I will arrange for someone to look for him right now."

"I'm leaving too, Miss Officer. Stark Industries will be responsible for compensating for the damage caused at the scene. Just send the bill to Pepper Potts."

After Spider-Man left, Iron Man also took off into the sky after receiving the accident compensation, and disappeared into the sky in the blink of an eye.

Then, Yuri pulled out a notebook from his pocket and began to ask Harry about what had just happened.

"...Thank you for your cooperation, Mr. Osborn. If you need it, we can send our men to provide you with personal protection during this period."

A few minutes later, Yuri finished his questioning and put away his notebook and suggested, "Thank you for your kindness, but it's not necessary. I believe that with the ability of the New York Police Department, the same incident will not happen a second time."

Harry smiled.

"Sir, we found the high school student."

Suddenly, two police officers came over, supporting a young man, it was Peter.

He was covered in dirt and blood, and he walked with a limp, looking really real.

"Harry, I almost thought I was going to die..."

Peter said weakly.

Seeing his exaggerated acting, Harry turned to the side and shouted, "Call an ambulance and a stretcher, we need a stretcher!"

"No, no, no, I'm fine. There are many people who need an ambulance more than me."

Hearing Harry's words, Peter hurriedly refused. If he was really sent to the hospital, his pretending to be injured would be exposed.

"Are you sure? Kid, you look so unstable."

Beside him, Yuri looked at Peter suspiciously.

"I just... sprained my ankle when I fell to the ground, and the rest are just superficial injuries."

Peter said this solemnly, and as he spoke he asked the policeman who was helping him to let go of his hand to show that he was fine.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, this place is blocked off, you can't go in."

At this moment, a commotion came from outside the blockade.

"Peter! Harry! Where are you? Are you all right?"

I saw a woman in her fifties who was trying to come in with an anxious look on her face, but she was stopped outside by the police.

"It's Aunt Mei!"

Harry and Peter recognized the woman's identity at a glance.

The two men walked over, and at this moment, Peter even forgot to pretend to be lame, but no one was paying attention to him at this moment.

"Peter, you're hurt! How do you feel?"

When Aunt Mei saw Peter's miserable condition, she immediately felt distressed.

"And Harry, your arm is still bleeding, come here, I'll take you to the hospital."

"It's okay, I just had a little scrape, just take Peter to the hospital, I have other things to do."

Harry declined Aunt May's offer.

"No, I watched you grow up, I can't just watch you get hurt and be indifferent."

Aunt Mei shook her head.

"Peter was injured because of me. I'm not sure if there will be another attack. It will be dangerous for him to stay with me."

Harry said, "Don't refuse. You don't want me to live in guilt for the rest of my life."

After saying that, Harry turned around and went back to the center of the scene to find Yuri Watanabe.

"Officer, I need a car."

Some time later, Osborne Building.

Harry got out of the police car and walked in with an expressionless face.

He has only one goal: Green Goblin Serum!
The attack made Harry realize more deeply that crises can happen at any time and anywhere without any advance notice.

This time, with Peter by his side, Harry was able to get through it safely, but it is impossible for a powerful superhero to always be by his side to protect him. Harry must have his own power.

Entering Osborn Building, Harry returned to his office as quickly as possible. Only the exclusive elevator there could lead to the secret laboratory where the Green Goblin was created.

However, when Harry arrived at the office, he found that there was already someone inside.
