Rebirth 08: Rise from copycat phones

Chapter 275: No statistics, no announcement

Chapter 275: No statistics, no announcement

Entering the second half of 13, the global consumer electronics industry has made rapid progress due to breakthroughs in underlying semiconductor technology, and the performance of various smart terminal devices has once again soared compared to last year.

Specifically, it is reflected in the 3-nanometer process of logic chips, the -nanometer process of memory chips, and the large-scale application of D NAND technology for flash memory chips.

The above three technological breakthroughs and the large-scale application of advanced technologies have directly promoted a huge improvement in the performance of electronic smart terminal products compared with last year.

Moore's Law continues to operate steadily.

The performance improvement of this smart terminal product continues to promote the widespread popularization of intelligent life centered on smartphones around the world.

The market capacity of various smart terminal products such as ultra-thin notebooks, tablets, smart phones, smart watches, smart homes, etc. continues to expand.

Not only China and advanced countries in Europe and the United States, but also emerging markets such as India, ASEAN, West Asia, and South America are rapidly promoting intelligent life.

And what does this mean?
This means that the sales volume of a large number of smart terminal products continues to increase, with the annual growth rate reaching several dozen percentage points.

This ultimately reflected a significant increase in sales of Zhiyun, Fruit, Sixing and some domestic smart terminal companies.

Without mentioning other companies, let’s talk about Zhiyun Group, which is the most watched company in the world.

Sales of many of its core products continued to increase after entering the second half of the year, and the increase exceeded the expectations of many analysts.

Before the release of the S13 series of mobile phones, analysts generally believed that its sales volume would be between million and million units... Note that this does not refer to the sales volume in the first year after the release, but the sales volume over the entire life cycle.

If it is the first year's sales volume, the data will be even lower, probably between 130 million and 150 million. There are also tens of millions of units estimated to be sold in the next year or even the year after.

The sales period of a flagship phone from Zhiyun often lasts about two to three years, and part of the sales is achieved by destocking models.

The sales forecast made by analysts includes sales for the next two or even three years.

However, just two months after its launch, the S13 phone sold million units worldwide.

Although everyone knows that the sales of Zhiyun’s new flagship phone will be very crazy in the first two or three months after it is launched on the market, it will often account for a very important proportion of the total sales of this new phone.

But... 70 million units in two months is still too crazy.

In this way, the total sales volume of Zhiyun's S13 mobile phone will reach million units, right?

Such crazy sales data has driven media around the world crazy... because this will be the first smartphone in history to break 200 million units in sales.

How crazy is this to describe the hot sales of S13?

According to the New York Times, Michael Feroli, chief U.S. economist at Morgan Stanley, predicts that the U.S. GDP will increase by 5%-5% this year due to the hot sales of Apple Watch 0.25S and 0.33S Plus.

The sales volume of Zhiyun S13 is higher than that of Fruit 5S.

At the same time, Zhiyun is more important and accounts for a larger proportion in China's economic system.

A considerable part of the fruit industry chain is actually in China. The production of many spare parts and the final assembly are all in China. Therefore, the hot sales of fruits not only contribute to the GDP of the United States, but also contribute a considerable amount of GDP to China.

But Zhiyun is even more extreme. From chips to screens to assembly, almost all parts of the S13 mobile phone are independently produced domestically. This contribution to the domestic GDP far exceeds the contribution of fruit to the US GDP.

More importantly, Zhiyun not only has mobile phones, but also various smart terminal products, semiconductor business, PC and server business, cloud computing business, and special field business.

For the United States, fruit only brings some design fields and the supply of a few spare parts, and the GDP it can provide is actually limited.

But for China, Zhiyun provides supply for the entire industrial chain, and even economists dare not easily determine the GDP-boosting effect behind it.

It’s not because the data is too high and no one believes it, but because it is too complicated and cannot be calculated at all... There are thousands of companies directly related to Zhiyun, and even more companies that are indirectly related. The data is too complicated and too large, and it is difficult for ordinary researchers and even some institutions to calculate it.

Just think about it, Zhiyun's revenue from smart terminal products alone exceeds 200 billion US dollars; then the semiconductor business, including various designs, manufacturing and outsourcing revenue can also reach the level of tens of billions of dollars; the electronic parts business, mainly the revenue of the parts industry in the electronic consumer industry chain such as screens, fingerprint recognition, aluminum alloy bodies, etc., also has a revenue of tens of billions of dollars.

Zhiyun Group’s annual revenue is heading towards 300 billion US dollars.

Its revenue significantly exceeds that of Fruit and Four Star.

It’s just that because Zhiyun Group adopts a full industrial chain model, that is, a heavy asset model, investors judge its price-to-earnings ratio directly based on that of ordinary manufacturing companies, and it has been hovering at a relatively low level for a long time. Otherwise, Zhiyun’s stock price would have to be even higher.

If we compare Zhiyun Group's price-to-earnings ratio with those of high-tech companies, for example, 20 to 30 times, or even more than 30 times that of Internet companies, Zhiyun's market value can break through one trillion US dollars in a minute.

But investors are not stupid... They can see you making a lot of money, and they can also see you spending money lavishly. In the semiconductor field and the consumer electronics supply chain, investments of tens of billions or even hundreds of billions of dollars are easy to come by.

For such an asset-heavy enterprise, it is impossible to give you too high a price-to-earnings ratio.

Of course, four-star companies are no exception, and investors also have relatively low price-to-earnings ratio estimates for them.

However, fruits do not have this problem. Although their P/E ratio is also relatively low, it is a light asset model after all, and the outside world still has a relatively high P/E ratio estimate for it.

Unlike Zhiyun, which announced its investment in a semiconductor factory one moment and then saw its market value drop by several billion dollars the next...

Zhiyun's own annual revenue is heading towards 300 billion US dollars. If you only count this part, it would be exaggerated...but you also have to count the industrial chain that Zhiyun's 300 billion US dollars has leveraged...there are a lot of related companies behind it.

In addition to the affiliated enterprises, there are also various consumer economic boosts brought about.

How to describe Zhiyun's economic impact?

Or we can simply describe it with export data. The total export volume this year is about more than 2 trillion US dollars, and the exports of various products under Zhiyun, including smart terminals and electronic consumer parts (including various Zhiyun chips and parts installed by other manufacturers), Internet services and other hardware or software products have exported more than 200 billion US dollars.

It accounts for about 10 percent!
There is no way. Most of Zhiyun's revenue comes from overseas markets, with the overall proportion being about 60%. Even the revenue generated by products sold to domestic manufacturers, a considerable portion of these products is ultimately exported.

Because the various smart terminal products exported overseas by domestic mobile phone manufacturers almost all use various SOC chips and various spare parts under Zhiyun.

Domestic electronic consumer product manufacturers assemble various parts and components of Zhiyun into smart terminal products and then export them, which is not much different from Zhiyun exporting them itself...

Zhiyun’s revenue of nearly 300 billion US dollars exceeds the GDP of most countries in the world, and it ranks roughly 35th.

Nigeria, Chile, Singapore, Egypt and other countries with medium-sized economies have a national GDP that is less than the revenue of Zhiyun alone...

The phrase "rich enough to rival a country" is an understatement when used on Zhiyun...

----

Under various economic cycles, the economic output value driven by Zhiyun is a very exaggerated figure, so large that the statistical department never publishes relevant data.

We have to keep a low profile. Zhiyun has always been in a life-and-death battle with American companies. Since last year, it has been investigated and sanctioned by the United States, and it has also been sued and fined in Europe.

You are still bragging about how much Zhiyun has boosted your GDP, created jobs, and generated tax revenue. Believe it or not, out of jealousy, the United States will directly impose a comprehensive sanctions package on Zhiyun, and Europe will impose a billion-dollar fine on you.

Before you have more than a dozen aircraft carriers, you can make money on a global scale, but you have to be low-key... Don't show off at other people's doorsteps every day, or you may be careful that they will take out a big shotgun and shoot you.

There is no way. If you are not qualified for the position, you can only keep a low profile.

Therefore, ordinary people basically cannot see some of Zhiyun’s data statistics in the macroeconomic system.

Anyway, regarding some data statistics of Zhiyun, the basic principle is: no statistics, no announcement!

------

Without talking about these macro things, let's just talk about Zhiyun itself. According to analysts' predictions, global smartphone sales in 13 are expected to exceed billion, an increase of about % compared to last year.

Similarly, many analysts believe that Zhiyun's product sales are expected to continue to increase significantly, and this year's sales of the entire S series, including new and old products, are expected to exceed 200 million units.

In addition, Zhiyun Group also has A series and C series mobile phones. In particular, this year's C6 series mobile phones are equipped with fingerprint recognition technology, which further enhances its competitiveness in the mid-range market. Analysts predict that this year's Zhiyun C6 series is expected to become a hit, and sales may even reach more than million units.

Because this is the second mid-range mobile phone equipped with fingerprint recognition after the Weiku Electronics Xiaolan MAX5, it is expected to cause a sales frenzy in the domestic market and many emerging markets.

If the A series of mobile phones are added, Zhiyun Group's sales of smartphones are expected to reach 300 million units in the coming year, bringing Zhiyun more than US$200 billion in revenue.

This situation is also reflected in the busyness of Zhiyun's various supply chains.

Since May this year, Zhiyun's supply chain system has entered a long-term overtime mode, and various supply chain companies have been working hard to supply various spare parts to Zhiyun Group and Weiku Electronics.

Almost every one of the more than 300 production bases in Zhiyun’s supply chain is hiring.

Even though the Ancheng Weiku Industrial Production Base has only been in operation for a year, the number of employees has exceeded 150,000 this year, and it is still continuing to expand production and recruit workers.

The number of employees at the Dongguan production base under Weiku Industrial has reached a new historical peak, with the number of employees in the entire base reaching 380,000.

Similarly, the number of employees at the Shenzhen production base once again exceeded 300,000.

The total number of employees at the three major production bases of Weiku Industrial alone has reached 830,000.

These three production bases can produce a large number of various electronic terminal products for Zhiyun or Weiku Electronics every day. Countless mobile phones, notebooks, tablets, smart watches, Bluetooth headsets and other products are shipped to the global market through various transportation channels for sale.

Not only is there an explosion of orders from Weiku Industrial, but orders from other OEM factories in the consumer electronics industry are also continuing to be full. It is not just the orders provided by Zhiyun and Weiku Electronics. In fact, there are also a large number of OEM orders from some domestic mobile phone manufacturers, including international brands.

The capacity of the entire smart terminal market continues to explode this year. As the world's most important and major production base for electronic consumer products, China, whether it is the huge success of Zhiyun mobile phones, the popularity of fruit phones, or the popularity of four-star and domestic mobile phone brands, ultimately cannot be separated from the huge Chinese electronic industry chain.

The strong global demand for electronic consumer products has brought in huge orders from all over the world, which has also led to a certain labor shortage.

So when Xu Shenxue was browsing the news, he found a lot of news about labor shortages.

After seeing this news, Xu Shenxue looked at the layout of the main production bases of its various OEM companies and supply chain companies, and finally turned his attention to the vast inland areas.

It is time to increase the layout of production bases in inland areas, especially in areas with rich population resources.

Otherwise, in a few years, the production bases in these economically developed regions will face problems such as labor shortages and a sharp increase in labor costs.

Weiku Industrial has tried to do this before. Luxshare, which provides OEM services for Zhiyun, as well as Foxconn, BYD and other OEM companies are also doing this, but they are all just preliminary preparations.

Now, Xu Shenxue believes that it is necessary to further accelerate the layout of new industrial bases.

So soon, he called Gu Zhiming and other key leaders of the supply chain department to discuss the issue of industrial chain transfer.

It is inevitable that the industrial chain will gradually shift to places with dense population resources, low labor costs and low land costs. However, the transfer of such a large industrial chain is not an easy task. It has to be done slowly and in a planned manner.

And this will be a long and ongoing process.

In other words, the transfer of the entire industrial chain is not a one-time thing, but a continuous one.

Zhiyun and the supply chain of Weiku Electronics will continue to open new factories in new regions, while reducing factories in some regions, so as to keep manufacturing costs at a relatively low level as much as possible.

However, unlike Fruit, Sixin and other companies that have begun to layout their industrial chains in other countries, Zhiyun and Wecoo Electronics' industrial chain layout will still be in China.

There are a lot of cheap places in China, so there is no need to go overseas, especially India, which prefers fruit, and Vietnam, which prefers four-star food.

These are not issues of cost, but other issues... How should I put it? Giant companies of Zhiyun's level always need to assume responsibilities beyond business and consider more factors.

We cannot build factories overseas simply because of lower costs and lower tariffs.

On the contrary, some domestic mobile phone manufacturers that are pure assembly plants do not have much pressure on this. They can go overseas to set up complete machine assembly factories to reduce tariff costs and enter the markets of more countries... However, most core components still have to be imported from China.

Anyway, they can't expect the core spare parts suppliers, that is, the supply chain companies under Zhiyun to follow them.

Xu Shenxue must be crazy to go to places like India, Vietnam, and Indonesia to invest hundreds of billions of dollars in chip factories, screen factories, and other core factories...

Not to mention Xu Shenxue, other core companies, such as Qualcomm, Intel, Nvidia, TSMC, Sixin, etc., would not do this.

These are the core industries of each country and will not be easily transferred.

Some of Zhiyun's core industry chain companies, such as Zhiyun Microelectronics, are going overseas, investing tens of billions of dollars to build advanced chip factories in any country...

Those are big issues that make global political headlines, they are not business matters at all.

Even if Zhiyun wanted to do this, he couldn't decide for himself.

Therefore, for Zhiyun, the transfer of the core industrial chain and the pursuit of lower manufacturing costs can only be done domestically, and there is no hope for it overseas.

After initially finalizing the plan for the gradual and orderly transfer of the industrial chain, Xu Shenxue went to Qiongzhou Island again in September.

This month, Nanmen Aerospace will launch another test rocket to verify the offshore recovery technology, but it will be different from the extremely expensive No. 5 rocket launched last month.

This time, the launch vehicle was a small rocket No. 4.

The No. 4 small rocket has always been used as a small test rocket in Nanmen Aerospace. It has tried to launch a commercial version before, but the feedback from the market was not very good. The carrying capacity was too small and the cost performance was relatively low, so no one paid attention to it...

So Nanmen Aerospace simply stopped bothering with it and directly used this thing as a test platform to test various new technologies.

On September 13, another rocket was launched from the Nanmen Space Launch Center.

The launch of a rocket alone is no longer newsworthy. Nanmen Aerospace has a very high launch frequency. It has launched more than 20 rockets this year and has launched a large number of satellites for institutions or companies in various countries around the world.

However, this rocket launch has attracted a lot of media attention, because this is not a regular commercial launch, but an experimental launch to test the offshore recovery technology.
Many people felt that Xu Shenxue’s fifth offshore recovery test was about to fail.

After watching the launch of the No. 4 test rocket, Xu Shenxue did not feel much, but just waited for the subsequent test results.

The rocket took off smoothly, and after climbing to the predetermined height, it began to shut down the engine and adjust the rocket's attitude according to the established procedure.

After adjusting the attitude, the rocket engine ignited again, pushing this stage of the rocket quickly towards the earth.

Nanmen Aerospace's rocket recovery technology does not involve free fall throughout the entire process. In fact, the engine is ignited when the rocket first returns to propel it back toward Earth. The rocket is extremely fast, and the system constantly adjusts its position, finally allowing the rocket to appear above the Nanmen Space Launch Site.

The Nanmen Space Launch Center is a launch site built close to the sea, and the rocket recovery ship on the seashore is not far from the launch site and can be clearly seen with an ordinary telescope.

A large group of media reporters carrying cameras and large cameras continued to shoot at the No. 4 rocket that was returning quickly in the sky.

At this time, Xu Shenxue was standing on the balcony, looking at a small black dot in the sky with a telescope.

As the altitude continued to drop, the test rocket in the air soon adjusted its posture and turned itself into a vertical landing posture. Its descent speed was still very fast. At first glance, it looked as if it was hit by a missile.

Just when people thought that the rocket would rush towards the sea at high speed, a huge orange-red flame suddenly spurted out from the bottom of the rocket.

It ignited the engine again!
The huge tail flame emitted by the engine looks very dazzling, even in broad daylight.

After the engine was ignited, the speed of the rocket decreased rapidly, from the high speed that people were worried about it diving into the sea, to a low-speed descent.

But in fact, its decline rate is still very fast.

In just a few seconds, the rocket had descended to a height of only tens of meters away from the offshore recovery platform, and the recovery support rod had been opened.

At this time, countless people were watching the final recycling step.

In the four previous sea recovery tests conducted by Nanmen Aerospace, the previous procedures had actually been completed successfully. However, the explosions occurred due to problems during the final docking process between the rocket and the recovery platform.

Nanmen Aerospace's recovery technology is actually very mature, and its reliability is very high when recovering on land. Among more than 20 commercial launches this year, there has only been one recovery failure.

In other words, from launch, to return, to the final stage before docking, all technologies have become very mature, and as long as there are no additional accidents, there will be no problems.

What is troubling Nanmen Aerospace now is the docking problem between the rocket and the offshore recovery platform during the final recovery stage... Because this offshore recovery platform is different from a land recovery plant. A land recovery plant is fixed, but an offshore recovery platform is a ship... it is dynamic.

At the same time, due to the special nature of the rocket, the time window left for the rocket to adjust its attitude in the final stage is very short. Basically, the attitude adjustment must be successful in one go, and there is no possibility of landing after repeated adjustments.

The difficulty of this offshore recovery technology is much higher than that of landing a carrier-based aircraft on an aircraft carrier.

In the last few seconds when everyone almost held their breath, the first stage of Nanmen Aerospace's No. 4 experimental rocket, based on the data transmitted by a large number of sensors, the chip of the flight control system performed rapid calculations and then controlled the rocket to make the final attitude adjustment.

Just after the adjustment was completed, the rocket was only less than ten meters away from the offshore recovery platform, and then everyone saw the rocket land directly...

Then, many people were subconsciously stunned. What about the explosion?
Where's the explosion?

Several seconds have passed, why hasn't it exploded yet?
At this time, the smoke and mist in the offshore recovery platform dissipated a little, and then people saw the rocket standing upright on the offshore recovery platform.

Even the robotic arm on the offshore recovery platform has been extended according to a fixed procedure to fix the recovered rocket and carry out subsequent recovery procedures.

There were no crew members on board the Coconut Grove, the offshore recovery platform of Nanmen Aerospace, at this time. Instead, there were crew members operating it remotely from a nearby cooperating vessel.

However, most of the time, especially during the docking phase, the ship actually operates automatically.

On the one hand, no one wants to work on this kind of offshore recovery platform. It is too dangerous... Recovering the rocket is no different from being hit by a missile and exploding.

On the other hand, human reaction speed cannot keep up with the rapid speed of rocket recovery.

The Coconut Grove recovery ship is actually very technologically advanced. Its installed boosters and autonomous attitude control system enable the ship to maintain a positioning error of no more than 3 meters even in a storm.

At the same time, in the final stage of docking, the docking accuracy of the rocket and the recovery ship is higher.

This is a moving-to-moving operation with high-speed alignment errors under a lot of external influences. The technical difficulty is extremely high, and it can even be said to be more difficult than docking in space.

There are many countries or space agencies that can perform space docking, but Nanmen Aerospace is the only aerospace company that can perform marine recovery.

After the rocket successfully landed, the subsequent recovery procedures were all automatically operated by the system, including a robotic arm and multiple walking robots.

There is no human intervention in the entire process, and there is no way to intervene...Human reaction speed cannot keep up with the accuracy of the final docking stage.

When the smoke and mist cleared, people saw Rocket No. 4 standing on the Coconut Grove's offshore recovery platform. They were stunned at first, and then quickly burst into cheers.

Xu Shenxue, who was sitting on the balcony of the command and observation center not far away, also smiled!
This time, the engineers from Nanmen Aerospace gave him another surprise.

The experiment was actually successful!

Even though this was just a successful sea recovery of the No. 4 small test rocket, it is still of great significance. At least it means that the sea recovery platform and the rocket's flight control system have withstood the test.

This is a huge technological advancement.

Xu Shenxue quickly returned to the control room and said loudly to the cheering staff: "Congratulations, you have made history again!"

"This month, all employees participating in this project will receive triple their performance bonuses!"

"Let's keep working hard. If rocket number 4 succeeds, then the recovery of rocket number 5 at sea won't be far away. I look forward to your continued success in bringing us better news!"

Just when Xu Shenxue was congratulating a group of engineers in Nanmen Aerospace.

The news of the successful recovery at sea was also passed on to the Internet as soon as possible, and videos of the successful recovery appeared in large numbers on various platforms.

Then it quickly became a hot topic.

Of course, the public opinion was not as heated as when the first successful land recovery experiment took place.

When the first land recovery experiment was successful, it was of groundbreaking historical significance and had an enormous impact on people.

Although today's offshore recycling technology is more difficult and has greater practical application significance, the shock it brings to people is not that great, and many people regard it as ordinary science and technology news.

Unlike before, there was almost no widespread discussion.

However, in the aerospace industry and even the technology industry, the successful offshore recovery test by Nanmen Aerospace still has a huge impact.

A technology blogger analyzed that the success of the offshore recovery test will enable Nanmen Aerospace to further significantly reduce its launch costs.

Compared with land recovery, the sea recovery mode can save more fuel, launch larger payloads, and the launch cost per kilogram will drop significantly.

This will further enhance Nanmen Aerospace's advantages in the commercial aerospace field.

According to some data released by Nanmen Aerospace, the latest Type 21B rocket can send a -ton payload into low-Earth orbit if used once. In land recovery mode, it can send a -ton payload into low-Earth orbit.

When using the sea recovery mode, the Type 5B rocket can send an 18-ton payload into low-Earth orbit.

It can be seen that the tremendous technological progress in the offshore recovery mode has led to a huge reduction in launch costs.

Of course, the only rocket that has successfully completed the sea recovery test is the Type 4 test rocket, not the commercial Type 5B rocket. However, after the first success, the success of the Type 5B rocket test is just around the corner.

That evening, the 7:30 news reported, as usual, the success of Nanmen Aerospace's sea recovery test, announcing another major breakthrough in China's recoverable rocket technology, far ahead of its foreign counterparts.

The aerospace industry of other countries has not even mastered land recovery, let alone sea recovery.

However, South Gate Aerospace is not without competitors. The space exploration company next to the Pacific Ocean is also actively exploring reusable rocket technology, and with the stimulation of South Gate Aerospace, the research and development progress is also very fast. Some tests have been successful this year. However, it will probably take some time to truly succeed in the reusable test of commercial rockets.

Apart from this space exploration company, no other company is capable of producing reusable rockets.

This thing is very technically difficult, and ordinary aerospace agencies simply cannot handle it at this time...

After returning from Qiongzhou Island, Xu Shenxue was in a good mood and brought back a No. 5B rocket model for his son.

Lin Yaxian had successfully given birth to a son. Although Xu Shenxue was busy running around, he would still take time out of his schedule to stay at home with his child and bring him various gifts.

This time, after bringing a rocket model, the child seemed quite interested in it and kept babbling towards it.

Lin Yaxian smiled and said, "Maybe, he can be an astronaut in the future."

Xu Shenxue said: "That's a bit difficult. The requirements for astronauts are too high. The academic level and physical fitness requirements are too high."

However, after Xu Shenxue said this, he thought for two seconds and said: "But when he grows up, maybe ordinary people can also become astronauts!"

When Lin Yaxian heard this, she couldn't help laughing: "This is what others say: Instead of letting your children work hard, it's better to work hard yourself... Then you have to work hard!"

Xu Shenxue said in a slightly more formal tone: "I will strive to make space travel a civilian industry within 20 years. When my children grow up, they can travel in space just like driving a car."

Seeing that Xu Shenxue's words were somewhat formal, Lin Yaxian then asked, "Popularizing space travel? Can it be done?"

Xu Shenxue said: "It is still possible!"

Conventionally speaking, that is definitely not possible, but Xu Shenxue is different, he has a scientific research system!

If we give the scientific research system another twenty years, who knows to what extent aerospace technology will develop. Perhaps, it will even be possible to popularize aerospace.

Not only in the aerospace field, but also in many other fields, Xu Shenxue can feel the tremendous impact brought by the scientific research system.

Xu Shenxue's scientific research system was initially used in the research and development of various smart terminal products, but in recent years it has begun to move deeply into the field of underlying technology, especially equipment and material research and development.

Zhiyun Group, Liuhe Investment, Xiannvshan Holdings, plus the relatively independent Nanmen Aerospace and Galaxy Life, the scale of many basic research and development under these five major systems has reached a considerable scale.

Outsiders don’t know much about these grassroots research and development, and don’t feel much of them, but they have indeed brought about overall technological progress.

In many fields, especially the research and development of various materials and processes, some of Xu Shenxue's research and development projects are no longer catching up with the world's advanced level, but continuing to make breakthroughs at the world-class level and exploring more unknown areas.

People only see the success of the S13 mobile phone, the success of the Type B rocket, the success of the Hailan electric car... but often ignore the progress of many basic technologies behind these products.

In fact, it was the advancement of basic technology that came first, which ultimately led to the success of these products... There is a clear sequence between the two.

Without the advancement of underlying technology, it would be impossible to have reusable rockets, electric cars, and S13 mobile phones.

Similarly, it is impossible for a high-performance purely domestically produced computer to appear.

On September 13, Zhiyun's subsidiary 'Pangu Technology Co., Ltd.' held a very special press conference and officially announced to the outside world the first purely domestically produced computer in China's history.

From the CPU to the GPU, to various chipsets, operating system, and all other spare parts and supporting software, Pangu computers are 100% domestically produced.

However, this news did not cause much waves in the outside world... Even though it has various domestic names, everyone knows that this thing is not an ordinary civilian computer.

Because this is based on Zhiyun's purely self-developed SOP instruction set architecture and YunLPC OS operating system, and it also has a computer with a Zhiyun OP graphics processing architecture core.

This thing is totally incompatible with the mainstream X86 architecture in the market, and there is no way it can have any commercial market... No individual consumer or ordinary enterprise would buy this purely domestic computer: it is useless!
However, after the computer system was released, relevant documents were soon issued to guide various institutions and enterprises to give priority to domestic computers when purchasing office computers and to promote domestic informatization.

It’s just a matter of saying specifically that only Pangu computers can be used as office computers in the future... This is an important measure for information security, not a question of whether it is easy to use or not.

They don't feel safe using other people's products for such critical things...

Just like the United States does not have the courage to allow Zhiyun-produced laptops and mobile phones to enter institutions, we have similar concerns here.

For the sake of information security, even if Pangu Computer's ecosystem is poor and it is awkward to use, it will be forced to be used.

Because this Pangu computer was originally developed by Zhiyun Group according to their requirements, and it is not a regular commercial project of Zhiyun.

Moreover, such a large project requires huge R&D investment, the subsequent purchase volume is not large, and the selling price cannot be sky-high. In the end, when you really calculate it all, Zhiyun Group will suffer a small loss on this Pangu project.

Of course, there is no need to worry about actual losses...

For an enterprise of the size of Zhiyun Group, whether it makes money or not cannot be judged by a single project, but by the overall situation.

The Pangu computer project is not profitable and may even lose money, but isn't there an X86 project behind it? Zhiyun Group is gearing up to enter the X86 ecosystem and is expected to launch the first X86 chip next year, not only personal PC chips, but also server chips under the X86 architecture.

Even without mentioning these, there are still a lot of various smart terminal products to purchase.

Taking a step back, even if there are no such purchases, there are still various tax incentives and policy subsidies.

I will never let Zhiyun suffer any loss!
After completing the important task of the Pangu computer project, Xu Shenxue was relieved. After all, this kind of project is not a regular project and the pressure is still quite high.

Now that the project has been successfully completed, all we need to do next is to continue to upgrade the hardware and update the system step by step.

He can also focus on the X86 project.

Xu Shenxue is still very jealous of the X86 market.

Globally, the X86 market is so huge, including the personal PC and server markets, that even a small bite of it would make Zhiyun's mouth water!

All this money had previously been earned by foreign companies such as Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Microsoft and other companies. Now Xu Shenxue’s idea is to pounce on them and never let go, then bite off a piece of it!
Even if we can’t grab too much overseas, we should at least grab some market share in China.

We can't let the Chinese people continue to use Intel or AMD CPU chips and Nvidia graphics cards in the next ten or eight years. This doesn't make sense.

Let's also let a large number of companies use Intel's Xeon series server chips.

With such a huge company like Zhiyun Semiconductor in front of the Chinese people, there is no reason not to use Zhiyun's related chips.

With this expectation, Xu Shenxue went to Zhiyun Semiconductor to take a look at the X86 project.

The boss of the group, Xu Shenxue, came over personally to see the progress of the project, which made the person in charge of the X86 chip project very excited and he introduced the relevant progress of the project to Xu Shenxue.
