Chapter 112 Can We Cooperate with the CIA?
While Carrie and Reddington were discussing confidential topics, the information reported by the SER team was conveyed to the CIA by the deputy minister in charge. What they didn't expect was that the name Luther Todd Braxton alone shocked the CIA, and they immediately asked to come to SER to inquire about the situation.

Immediately, a man and a woman came to SER with a special order from DOJ, and Cooper received them in his office.

The tall blond lady extended her hand and said, "Hello, Deputy Director Cooper, I am Special Agent Kate Goodson. Deputy Minister Wright has appointed me as a representative to serve as a liaison to SER to assist the Director of the CIA's Covert Operations Division, Pete Cacciopoulos, in inquiring about intelligence on the 'factory'."

"Hello, Agent Kate, please take a seat." Cooper shook hands with her, but ignored Pete, who had white hair, gold-rimmed glasses and a scrutinizing expression, and went back to his desk and sat down.

Pete was used to this. It was the norm between the heads of the CIA and FBI departments. He did not sit down at all, but stood by the window, looking out at the command hall with interest.

Kate said politely, "Deputy Director Cooper, could you please tell me more about the prison break?"

"Okay!" Cooper said, "We got intelligence that a prisoner named Lupi Todd Braxton will escape from a special prison called 'The Factory' within 24 hours, so we reported this intelligence to Deputy Minister Wright..."

"What's the source of the information?" Pete, who was standing by the window, suddenly asked, "How did you know the name Braxton?"

Cooper ignored him and continued, "Agent Kate, this is all the information I know."

Peter walked over from the window, stood in front of the desk, and said seriously: "Agent Cooper, you must answer my question, what is the source of the intelligence?"

Kate continued, "Braxton was a former Serbian soldier who later became a mercenary. He committed many major crimes in many parts of Europe and killed many people. He was considered an extremely serious threat..."

"Why not give such a person a public trial and sentence him to death? Why keep him alive?" Cooper said dissatisfiedly.
