I am the prince of the Ming Dynasty, I don't give up
Chapter 90 Remarks on the launch
Chapter 90 Remarks on the launch
This book is about to be put on the shelves. This is the third time I have written this thing. It can be considered a failure.
First of all, I would like to thank all the book friends who have read this far. Your support is my greatest motivation to continue writing this book.
Then let me talk to you about my book.
I am also a white reader of historical texts. It is precisely because I like historical texts that I write historical texts.
In fact, in the beginning, I was planning to write a novel about entertainment in ancient times, that is, to move modern cultural products that suit the tastes of ancient people to the ancient times.
But I soon realized that one problem was that people engaged in entertainment in ancient times had too low social status, were discriminated against everywhere, and had no ability to protect their own industry. The best outcome was to become a pet of a powerful person and had no control over their own destiny.
I tried to think of some solutions to break the impasse, but none of them convinced me. Fortunately, when I was looking up information about the development of ancient opera, I suddenly saw a group of people with the surname Zhu. As soon as I saw the name, I knew that they were members of the royal family of the Ming Dynasty. This gave me an idea that I could make the protagonist naturally have a very high status.
Then I went to CNKI and downloaded a bunch of research papers about the Ming Dynasty's vassal system. Let me just complain here that the fees for papers on CNKI are damn expensive. I didn't spend that much money when I wrote my graduation thesis!
I would also like to thank Ms. Liang Manrong for her doctoral dissertation "A Study of the Princes of the Ming Dynasty". This 408-page dissertation has been of great help to me. This dissertation has given me a very systematic understanding of all aspects of the princes of the Ming Dynasty. I have read this dissertation about two or three times, and I have learned something new every time. It is also the main source of my knowledge about the vassal system of the Ming Dynasty in my book.
In fact, as a white reader, I really like the real historical knowledge mixed in historical articles. It is a great thing to learn historical knowledge while having fun. So I also pay attention to this when writing historical articles. I can say that the content about the Ming Dynasty's vassal system in my book is still very rigorously researched.
Of course, I would also like to thank the other authors of the papers, but I will leave that to the end. I have to say that the quality of master's and doctoral dissertations in history has risen sharply 10 years later. They have completely gotten rid of the historical view based on class struggle in historical research in the s and s, and have become more objective and pertinent.
The princes of the Ming Dynasty were a very complex and contradictory group. In many online articles, they are usually played as villains or background characters. The impression that the princes of the Ming Dynasty gave to the public was that they were a group of people who were unproductive, uneducated, licentious, and only knew how to enjoy themselves and have children. They became more and more numerous like piglets and eventually bankrupted the Ming Dynasty's finances. Finally, they were massacred by the Qing Dynasty.
I valued the complexity and contradictions of the Ming Dynasty vassal kings, and setting the protagonist with such an identity would make the story interesting. Anyway, I felt very happy when I wrote the process of the protagonist breaking through the restrictions of the vassal state step by step.
In fact, the direction of the plot of this book has been very clear so far. This is a farming novel. I will not write too much about power struggles, because the protagonist's route is to open up a new path for state-owned enterprises besides the civil and military paths. This path is relatively independent. Moreover, I am an industrialist. I feel that playing so many intrigues every day is very boring. What I want to do is to use absolute productivity to smash the petty intrigues in the court. Later, I will also add some perspectives of small people to see the changes of the times under the influence of the protagonist.
Actually, I knew that my book had failed again when it didn't even make it to the first round of recommendations. At that time, I had the idea of cutting off this book. According to the outline, I had only written about one-third of the first volume at that time, but I hesitated when I looked at the outline that I had planned for 7 volumes. I felt that there were many good ideas in it, such as the entry point of the vassal kings in the mid-Ming Dynasty, the way for the protagonist to break through the vassal ban, the process of the protagonist obtaining the highest power, etc. These ideas can only be used in this book, and I was a little unwilling not to write them out. After some ideological struggle, I decided to continue writing, and at the same time began the process of squeezing out water, because since I didn't plan to write so long, I would just pass over the boring parts and only write the interesting parts. So everyone will obviously feel that the plot has obviously accelerated after the th chapter, and the rhythm has also become faster. At the same time, according to everyone's voting, everyone also likes this change. I will do the same in the future. I have now combined the contents of the second and third volumes in the outline.
Anyway, I will just eat up three months of perfect attendance! Welcome everyone to subscribe to this book.
Finally, I will list the papers I referenced and express my gratitude to the authors.
