Chapter 99, Compilation of the Holy Book

Chapter 99, Compilation of the Holy Book

Dusk began to set in. The sounds of cattle, sheep and horses could be heard one after another in the camp. Smoke was rising from the chimneys of many tents. The sunlight seemed reluctant to leave, making the snow on the distant Jinshan Mountain glitter with golden light.

Today, after the system laborers finished building the temple, Zhang Sheng had been giving orders to the system laborers to build a stone wall of more than ten kilometers around the camp to protect the camp.

Zhang Sheng is not afraid of wasting resources because even if the Jinhan tribe migrates to other places in the future, these buildings can be dismantled and some resources can be recycled.

If it is not demolished, it can be retained as a church area of the Holy Religion in Jinshan, Mobei, to manage the believers here and preach to the surrounding areas.

Many stone houses were built within the wall, as well as a blacksmith shop with incredible powers.

Agriculture cannot be developed in Mobei, otherwise Zhang Sheng would definitely build many mills and farmlands to provide food for Jin Han.

It was late at night and the camp was very quiet, but the footsteps of patrolling soldiers and the barking of sheep, horses and dogs in the fence outside the camp could be heard. The people of the Jinhan tribe, who had been busy all day, had gone to sleep.

On the contrary, Zhang Sheng, who was in the golden tent next to the temple in the camp, the center of the entire Jinhan tribe, did not fall asleep as he did in the past.

Instead, he bit the end of a pen, and a stack of rare white paper was spread on the table in front of him.

Yes, at this time paper was already a very rare thing in the Jinhan tribe.

With the bright flame of the oil lamp on the table illuminating the environment around him, Zhang Sheng looked solemn, holding his forehead in deep thought.

Since he had already decided to use the holy religion he created as a tool to govern the world, he would not hesitate to look back after making this decision. The decision had been made, and he should always be prepared for its foundation.

He wanted to assimilate the many Hu people under his command, lead them to naturalization, guide the world to be good, and enable the Jin Han people to develop their own unique culture and system with the Holy Religion as the core. It would be a drop in the bucket for Zhang Sheng to do it alone. He needed more people to fight for it with him.

The establishment of a five-level priest system consisting of priests, altar priests, deacons, cardinal deacons and emperors was his new attempt. Zhang Sheng was ready to emulate the Christian system of divine revelation and episcopacy.

With the thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism, and the metaphysical theological system of Christianity, in this era, we can conquer and accommodate a large population, and spread the belief in the monotheistic God of Heaven, saints, and our own ideas.

This has a prerequisite, that is, he must have a scripture that explains the fundamental ideas of this sect, such as the Confucian classics, the Buddhist scriptures, and the Christian Bible.

The fire in front of him rose, and the oil lamp swayed in the crackling sound. The shaking light reflected Zhang Sheng's gloomy face.

After a long while, he clenched the pen in his hand and wrote on the paper in divine scripture: "Holy Book", which is the name of this scripture.

"In the beginning, everything was empty and did not exist. A supreme being walked among them. After a long time, he felt bored and created the universe.

After it was created, it created other things, such as the sun, moon, stars, wind, rain... all things.

He even uses his own image to mold humans into clay and makes them love them.

The human race was created by Haotian. Later, he was given the title of saint and wise king and teacher, such as "helping the emperor to favor the four directions".

Therefore, the only god in the world is Lord Haotian, who is the true God.

Emperor Zhang Sheng and other saints and sages were appointed by Haotian to convey his will.

Therefore, people should respect the God of Heaven, obey his orders, and follow the Son of Heaven who is bestowed upon the world.

The emperor appoints priests to govern the people and orders holy warriors to protect religion.

Haotian God created heaven and hell, and judged the good and evil of human souls. Only those who believed in Haotian God, did good, fought for Haotian God, and spread Haotian God's will could ascend to heaven after death.

Those who do not believe, do evil, and betray God will go to hell.

Therefore, believers should respect it.

............"

Zhang Sheng racked his brains, biting the tip of his pen, not noticing the ink staining his face. He paused for a moment and continued writing the Holy Book:
“The Master said:
With benevolent government as the foundation, the king is benevolent and the ministers are loyal, and the people's morality is profound.

The world has a ritual order, distinctions between the noble and the humble, and propriety and righteousness flourish.

Everyone values moral cultivation, is friendly to others and neighbors, and lives in harmony.

The government is clean and honest, taxes are light, and people are happy and contented, achieving a harmonious society.
Confucius said:
Do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you.
To restrain oneself and return to propriety is benevolence. If one restrains oneself and returns to propriety every day, the world will return to benevolence. Is it up to oneself to be benevolent, or is it up to others?
What is benevolence? It means loving others.

If you don’t learn etiquette, you can’t stand!
Show kindness to others, and they will repay you with kindness
…………”

The Holy Book is a book written by Zhang Sheng that describes an ideal and beautiful world, based on the sacred history of how Haotian created the world and humans, how the saints were inspired by God to write books and educate humans, as well as the saints' yearning for a better world.

Zhang Sheng plans to first invent a world that is beautiful enough to arouse other people's yearning, and then use ideas as the backbone to point out the steps to lead to this beautiful world.

He planned to use "faith", "benevolence", "righteousness" and "propriety" as the core ideas, and use the six arts of a gentleman to teach priests and warriors.

The compilation of the "Holy Book", "Holy Law" and "Hadith" cannot be completed overnight. It still needs to be discussed by Zhang Sheng and all the main priests, and then revised many times, and added and deleted before it can be finally perfected. For example, some Buddhist thoughts, Nestorian rituals and so on need to be added.

Moreover, Jin Han now rules the grassland. If Zhang Sheng wants to spread the holy religion, he must make changes according to local conditions without changing the fundamental content and in line with local culture. This will make it easier to attract people to join.

It is not impossible to spread doctrine with an immature scripture, but if you encounter heretics who are strictly prohibited by theological logic, they will be able to silence you. Zhang Sheng will never allow his masterpiece to be like this.

Zhang Sheng rubbed his numb arms, stood up and stretched his muscles, walked out of the tent, and felt the autumn breeze. After clearing his overthinking brain, he devoted himself to the great cause of writing again.

By the next morning, the infantry barracks, shooting range, stables and five blacksmith shops had been built by nine laborers.

As soon as Zhang Sheng had the production started, he sent ten of the laborers into five blacksmith shops, transformed them into blacksmiths, and started working on iron smelting and forging.

They pulled the bellows and swung the hammers, teleporting the iron ore and wood from the mysterious space of the big tent to the blacksmith shop.

In their hands, the decayed things were transformed into magic, turning into iron rings and armor plates. After a while, a full body armor was made, followed by arrows, swords, spears, and crossbows.

At this rate, theoretically, as long as there is a sufficient supply of iron ore and wood, five blacksmith shops can equip 500 fully armed elite warriors every month.

The above is due to Zhang Sheng's golden finger. As for some aspects not related to the golden finger, the blacksmith captain Bojiu is working hard to recruit blacksmiths in the tribe. In fact, there are some productions, but the output is very limited.

With the golden finger, Zhang Sheng naturally felt extremely excited and encouraged. He had learned a lot through exploration, such as the production of system biological units and the construction of buildings.

Usually, living buildings are shorter, while military buildings and large buildings take longer to build. However, one thing is constant, that is, the more laborers involved in the construction, the faster the construction speed.
