Chapter 50 A Complete Home
Song Jin'an looked at her daughter with tender eyes as the nurse fed her.

Her mind was filled with endless fantasies. This little dumpling was so cute and soft. Song Jin'an was mute, and sometimes she would feel helpless because she couldn't speak. What would happen if her child didn't have a language environment in the future?
Thinking about this, Song Jin'an felt somewhat frustrated.

Lin's mother noticed her mood but didn't know what she was thinking. She assumed it was due to postpartum hormonal fluctuations and tried her best to liven up the atmosphere.

“Madam, look how good Miss’s appetite is!” Lin Ma then noticed the weight written in the lower left corner: “Miss has gained another pound this month, a little over five pounds now.”

Upon hearing Lin Ma's words, Song Jin'an glanced at the woman and a smile finally appeared on her face.

She truly owes this child so much, and can only use all her strength to give her the most and fullest love.

Song Jin'an stretched out her hand and began to gesture.

—My daughter, I just hope you are healthy and happy.

She was never born into a complete family and never received love and care from her parents. She could only curl up in a corner and live a slow and lonely life.

But she didn't want her daughter to go through the same thing, so at that moment, the string of divorce in her heart seemed to loosen, and she no longer felt so tense. She wanted to give her daughter a complete family, a family with both a mother and a father.

Looking at Song Jin'an, Lin Ma saw that her originally dim eyes had brightened again, and a smile appeared on her face.

"Of course, Miss is the Gu family's little princess, she will definitely grow up carefree, healthy and happy!" As Lin Ma said this, she sighed slightly in her heart. She knew that the elders of the Gu family's old house hoped for a grandson, and even the master... probably thought so too...

His gaze then fell on the young lady, who had drunk her fill and fallen asleep. He thought to himself that as long as he took her to see the elders at the old house, she would eventually be taken care of. After all, she was a descendant of the Gu family and they wouldn't ignore her. He thought that things would get better as they grew to like her.

After the child fell asleep, Lin's mother stayed inside for a little while longer before pushing Song Jin'an back to the ward.

During this time, Su Ruoya didn't cause any trouble and was quite content with her life.

However, Song Jin'an also took the initiative to contact Officer Zhang of the police station who was handling her case, to ask if there was any progress in the case.

Officer Zhang replied that the typical international case processing time is very long, so the overseas police station is currently going through the procedures. Their case-handling efficiency is not high, but there should be results at least this month.

During this time, she started taking online classes again, but it wasn't convenient to take notes. After she put her phone aside, she was about to ask Lin Ma to help her move to the hospital bed to rest when Gu Xijue appeared by the bedside, put his arm around Song Jin'an's waist, and Lin Ma immediately moved the wheelchair away, lifted the blanket, and then helped lift her legs so that she could land steadily on the hospital bed.

Song Jin'an could only smell a pleasant men's cologne between her nostrils, the one that Gu Xijue always used.

Only after she was safely set down did those powerful arms withdraw.

Song Jin'an raised her hand and gestured, saying thank you.

Gu Xijue looked at her bright eyes, then glanced at her phone which she hadn't locked yet, and his expression suddenly darkened. Don't be too happy.

"You're injured like this, and you're still so restless." He was accusing her of not taking good care of herself in the hospital, but Song Jin'an didn't hear it that way.

Standing to the side, Lin's mother watched his expression carefully, afraid that the two would start arguing again.

Song Jin felt utterly dejected, but she was tired and didn't want to break the facade of calm that had lasted for the past few months. Her heart beat slowly as she numbly stared at the man standing by the bed.

"Alright, it's not that I won't let you see." Gu Xijue looked at her and continued, "Let's heal your injuries first, and we can talk about the rest later."

Such a lukewarm, indifferent remark stirred ripples in Song Jin'an's stagnant heart. Looking at him, she could sense his bewilderment.

Gu Xijue, however, sat down on the sofa, leaned back, closed his eyes, and looked somewhat tired.

During this period, he was running around to three different places, and the Gu Group had been almost entirely handed over to him, so Gu Xijue had a lot of work. With such a large amount of work accumulated, and now he was running around to several different places, it was indeed very exhausting for his body.

Just as Song Jin'an was about to use her phone to announce the time, a familiar, gentle female voice sounded at the door.

"Western Conference Finals..."
