Chapter 152 Bizarre and Extraordinary

Song Jin'an had another dream, but this time it wasn't a nightmare, though it was somewhat similar.

In her dream, she humbly begged Gu Xi not to divorce her, but he violently shook off her hand and looked down at her with disdain.

Moreover, she was unusually humble, as if the world would stop turning or die without Gu Xijue, the only man in the world.

Song Jin'an didn't understand why she could have such a dream; it shouldn't be like this.

She must have let go of her hand immediately after the other person told her to stop, and then strode forward with her daughter, never looking back.

When she woke up, she felt that this dream could never happen in her life, no matter how bizarre it was.

When Song Jin'an was pleasantly surprised, she glanced at the time and realized it was only a little past nine o'clock. Gu Xijue must have been gone for several hours already.

Yu Yousheng still arrived at the villa on time to tutor, and outwardly addressed her respectfully as Mrs. Gu. However, when Song Jin'an walked up to her, she could clearly smell the same perfume.

I didn't say anything. For a moment, I wanted to get angry, but in the end, I didn't say a word because I really had no right to.

Even though she holds the position of Mrs. Gu.

She ate breakfast and then sent Jiang Ciyu a message saying she would arrive later.

When she drove to the Grand Theatre, the children had already been rehearsing for more than an hour, and the rehearsal was proceeding in an orderly manner.

"Why did you arrive now?"

Jiang Ciyu watched from the side, and after she came in, he smiled and spoke.

Song Jin'an didn't want to talk to the man in front of her anymore, after all, she had almost been taken advantage of by him.

He would use himself to do things, and Song Jin'an even thought that if that incident hadn't happened, she and he might actually have become good friends of the opposite sex.

—I woke up a little late.

She gestured, her words brief and to the point, unwilling to talk to him any further.

Jiang Ciyu didn't seem to see anything wrong. Instead, she acted as familiarly as ever, as if no unpleasantness had ever occurred between them.

"I thought you weren't going to help me anymore. I didn't expect you to agree."

He knew that some of the things he had done had hurt the woman in front of him, and he had also thought that she would righteously and firmly reject him.

The only thing I didn't expect was that she was truly kind at heart.

Song Jin'an frowned, turned to look at him, and gestured word by word.

—I'm only doing this for the children.

Because of her own upbringing, she knows how difficult life must be for these children, so she wants to help them however little she can.

Jiang Ciyu took advantage of her stubbornness but soft heart, which is how he got her to become a sign language teacher.

"I know." He smiled and said nothing more.

Watching her work and interacting with the children from behind, something seemed to be churning in her eyes.

He took a cigarette out of his bag, and just as he was about to light it, he remembered something, and walked out while still holding the cigarette between his fingers.

He got a lighter from the car, leaned against it, and lit a cigarette. Just then, a black minivan came into view, and he recognized the license plate.

It was Jiang Ren's car. A few seconds later, the car door opened and Jiang Ren got out of the car.

He walked up to Jiang Ciyu, saw his younger brother smoking, and frowned: "Put out the cigarette."

"I told you to quit smoking, but it seems you've never taken my words to heart." This accusation was slapped on Jiang Ciyu's lips, and she smiled faintly before putting out her cigarette.

"Big brother, what brings you here?" Jiang Ciyu continued, "I've been keeping an eye on things here, it'll be fine."

He didn't expect that the eldest brother would come all the way here in person. Did he think that he couldn't even do such a small thing well?

He had been following up on this charity project, and it had gone relatively smoothly.

Jiang Ren looked at him, his sharply defined face unusually serious, and went straight to the point: "Do you know that the Gu family stole a big project from us?"

"I know." Jiang Ciyu certainly knew. Jiang Ren had been pursuing that piece of land in the city center for a long time, constantly negotiating with the government to obtain the right to use the land.

But as luck would have it, the Gu family snatched it away.

Jiang Ren looked at him coldly and said, "Do you know why the Gu family is so determined to take this land from the Jiang family?"

Jiang Ren was furious. This piece of land had been taken away, and the Jiang family had lost billions.

Jiang Ciyu frowned: "Big brother, what's wrong?"

He seemed completely unaware of the situation, as if it had nothing to do with him.

"How dare you ask!" Jiang Ren came here specifically to interrogate him, and of course he had come up with plenty of reasons.

He pointed towards the inside of the grand theater: "You really don't know your place, you even have ties to that mute guy from the Gu family!"

"This time, it's all because of you that we lost this piece of land!"

Jiang Ren simply calls this action revenge; it is Gu Xijue's revenge against Jiang Ciyu, only the specific actions were carried out on the Jiang family.

Jiang Ciyu then realized that his older brother had indeed come to confront him, but he smiled dismissively and said, "Brother, she and I are just ordinary friends. Besides, she's only here to help with the rehearsal. Don't worry, she won't be on camera."

That's what he said, that he wouldn't look good on camera.

But Jiang Ren's expression was still not good: "You've been the one following up on this charity project. I didn't want to get involved, but you need to know when to stop and not cause trouble for the Jiang family."

Jiang Ciyu held no position in the Jiang family's company at all, and he had never even been inside.

His deceased mother had always defined him as nothing more than a lazy rich kid who was content to squeeze a little money out of the Jiang family.

Jiang's father took over this charity project because he wanted to find something for him to do.

Jiang Ren didn't interfere much with Jiang Ciyu. After all, as long as he didn't join the company or try to seize power, the Jiang family could still support an idle person.

So we let him do whatever he wanted, but unexpectedly he still caused trouble.

"I don't care, you immediately cut off all contact with that mute guy and never see him again."

Jiang Ren felt nothing but disgust for Song Jin'an. Moreover, she was just a mute, and even the Gu family disliked her. Yet, his adopted younger brother clung to her so tightly. What was going on?

"Do you intend to nail the entire Jiang family to the pillar of shame?"

Jiang Ciyu frowned, about to speak again, but was interrupted once more by the older man in front of him.

"This is the last time I'm warning you. If it happens again, even your father won't be able to protect you."

That's as if he's going to be kicked out of the house next time.

"Brother, things aren't as serious as you say," Jiang Ciyu said, pursing his lips.

Jiang Ren stood there, almost driven mad with anger: "Shut up!"

“I think it’s because your father spoiled you too much that you’ve become like this.”
