Chapter 239 (End of Main Text)

After waiting for a while without getting a reply from the girl, Chu Jiang became impatient and lowered his head to kiss her.

Greedy and ruthless,
It was as if he wanted to devour her.

Qin Su was breathless from the kiss and couldn't help but reach out to push the man's chest away. She even spoke with a slight pant: "If...if one day I lie to you, will you hate me?"

Chu Jiang paused, his eyes darkening slightly, but he didn't let go of her: "How do you lie?"

That look in his eyes... Qin Su's heart skipped a beat, and she almost thought he knew everything.

She instinctively lowered her long eyelashes, trying to avoid the young man's focused gaze: "For example, I came to your side for another purpose... um,"

The hand gripping her waist tightened suddenly, so forcefully that she couldn't help but cry out.

The man's face was extremely gloomy, and it was clear that he was trying his best to suppress his anger: "And then?"

"And then, I realized I didn't actually love you that much..."

"Qin Sangsang!"

Before she could finish speaking, Chu Jiang abruptly interrupted her. His face was extremely gloomy, and his eyes were cold and fierce, as if he wanted to kill her: "Don't say another word."

Qin Su met his eyes.

The prince wanted to use him to threaten her into giving in.

But she was inherently rebellious and refused to do as he wished.

"I'm going to say it."

Qin Su slowly straightened up, her gaze towards the tyrant losing some of its pitiful tenderness and gaining more of a stubborn and clear-headed look:

What would you do if I lied to you?

"I can……"

Chu Jiang tightened his arms once more, his deep voice carrying a hint of suppressed madness: "I'll lock you up so you can never leave me."

Qin Su was taken aback. Just as she was about to say something, the pressure on her waist suddenly loosened.

The man's long, slender hand landed soothingly on her aching waist, his clear voice carrying a hint of cold laughter: "Is this your solution?"

Upon hearing the familiar teasing tone, Qin Su subconsciously looked over and saw that it was the "Dog Prince" who had returned.

Chu Junyan smiled and said, "Look, the coward has been scared away."

His expression was calm and composed, showing no sign that someone in his mind was furious: "Let me out!"

Chu Jiang was furious when he was suddenly kicked offline.

But that person dared to push their luck: "So, have you thought it through?"

As Chu Junyan spoke, he lifted the girl's delicate chin, lowered his head, and made as if to kiss her: "As long as you promise me, you will never let him know."

Chu Jiang finally had the "honor" of seeing what "he" did to Sang Sang from a first-person perspective, and he was absolutely furious: "Get out! Don't touch her!"

The more insane and mad he became, the more unrestrained the crown prince became.

His kisses were gentle and delicate, like savoring a favorite dessert, or like a warm spring breeze that made one feel weak all over.

"just in case,"

Qin Su used all her willpower to avoid it, secretly annoyed by the behavior of these two people, who kissed each other all the time, were they dogs?

"What if he finds out?"

Qin Su finally finished speaking, but couldn't help but frown. Why did it sound so much like an affair?
The adulterer, however, remained unperturbed: "So what? Your goal is to integrate us, isn't it?"

His pleasant voice seemed to carry an alluring seduction: "If we succeed, whether he knows it or not, what can he do?"

As soon as he said this, the tyrant in his mind stopped all his harsh rebukes, as if waiting for the girl's answer.

Time seemed to stretch out infinitely at this moment.
Chu Jiang: Am I important to you? Or am I just a tool for you to complete your mission?

Chu Junyan: How far would you go for him? Can't you just give it to me instead?

It seems like a long wait, time making even breathing feel irritatingly long; yet it also seems like it passed very quickly, and in the blink of an eye, it's already here.

Qin Su looked up at him.

The man before me had a handsome, flawless face with a gentle smile; he was a refined gentleman, as if he had been carefully crafted.

It's the same face, but the aura is completely different from before.

Her tightly clenched hands slowly loosened, the struggle and confusion in her eyes gradually faded, and she returned to her indifferent and resolute demeanor, her voice as sweet and melodious as ever: "My goal has never changed."

The man who had been yelling and screaming just moments before remained silent.

Chu Junyan seemed to sense his dejection and was greatly affected.

His smile deepened: "So you..."

"Therefore I will not agree."

Qin Su smiled, a distant and indifferent smile that carried a hint of Dr. Su's demeanor: "I respect every patient, even if they are not here."

Chu Junyan was somewhat puzzled: "What do you mean?"

He wanted to grasp the girl's soft, smooth hand: "So, you've given up on integration?"

Qin Su broke free: "Of course not."

He frowned and looked at her: "Then you should agree to my request."

The girl smiled at him: "Really? I don't believe it."

The two looked at each other from a distance.

The Crown Prince's confused and anxious expression slowly disappeared, replaced by a cold and mocking one.

They saw a similar light in each other's eyes.

Chu Junyan released her hand, his gentle smile failing to reach his eyes: "If that's the case, then let's see what you can do without my cooperation."

Qin Su did not answer the question, but said, "I wish to see Her Majesty the Empress. I wonder if Your Highness would be so kind as to grant me this request?"

The crown prince neither confirmed nor denied: "Of course."

Having received permission, she didn't waste any time and went.

For some reason, a certain prince also decided to join in.

The system whispered: "If the fusion is successful, will you be leaving this place?"

Qin Su walked ahead and didn't notice the man behind her darken his eyes when the system spoke.

She said, "I won't reply."

System: [Huh?]

Qin Su: "A temporary fusion cannot be considered a complete success. I will not believe it unless I see the final result with my own eyes."

System: [Watch until the end? Does that mean we have to wait until the tyrant dies of old age?] Otherwise, how can you say it's absolutely successful?

Qin Su did not answer this question.
-
Fengyi Palace.

Empress Xiao, who usually refused to see guests, surprisingly agreed to meet Qin Su after hearing her request.

Qin Su looked at the man beside her: "Do you want to come along?"

Unaware of the fleeting tension that crossed the eyes of the palace servant who delivered the message, Chu Junyan noticed it but remained expressionless: "No need. The Empress Dowager doesn't want to see me."

Qin Su didn't say anything more and followed them inside.

Stepping into the cold and vast palace, Qin Su felt a chill that went straight to her bones.

She glanced at the woman with her back to her not far away, composed herself, and said, "Actually, last time, I had some things I wanted to say to Your Majesty alone."

The woman with her back to her didn't react at all. Even though she had agreed to let her in, she still maintained her aloof demeanor.

Qin Su didn't mind: "I had a dream. In the dream, the ten-year-old Crown Prince said that if he were a little stronger, would he be able to please the Empress Dowager?"

The woman who had been facing away from her finally seemed to react and turned around.

But Qin Su didn't finish her sentence: "May I ask Your Highness, why did you treat the young prince that way back then?"
-
When Qin Su came out of Fengyi Palace after getting the answer, she immediately saw a tall, elegant young man in bright yellow brocade robes standing at the palace gate, looking up at the bright peach blossoms on the branches.

Hearing the noise, Chu Junyan turned around and met the girl's gentle smile: "Her Highness said that she would like Your Highness to convey her regards to the Duke of Wei."

Chu Junyan did not ask her what she had said to her mother inside. He looked at her with deep eyes and said, "Alright, I understand."
-
Time flies, and before we knew it, it was evening.

That night was the time for Qin Su to choose to undergo hypnosis.

Unlike before, this time, the first person she saw upon entering was the young prince—

It was the same room as before, and the young boy stayed quietly inside.

The difference this time was that he was holding the small nightlight she had given him.

"Hi, we meet again."

The young prince looked up when he heard the voice, and his eyes seemed to light up when he saw her.

Qin Su asked him, "Do you want to grow up and leave this place?"

He looked at her and said, "Yes."

Qin Su smiled and said, "Alright, when I remind you to open your eyes, you will be one year older."

The boy paused for a moment, then suddenly spoke before she could begin: "And what about you? Will you leave me when I grow up?"

Qin Su didn't understand why he would ask such a question, but it didn't affect her answer: "No. Even when you grow up, I will always be by your side until I'm sure you're truly cured."

The boy's smile seemed a little more genuine: "Okay, I want to grow up."

Qin Su smiled, her gentle voice seemingly possessing a certain magic: "Now, please close your eyes and follow my words..."

Age only changes when the trauma and conflict within the patient's body are resolved.

As Qin Su spoke gently and soothingly, the boy slowly opened his eyes.

As he opened his eyes, the environment in front of him changed.

Qin Su saw a young man standing in front of her, a few years older than before, who was both unfamiliar and familiar: "And you? Are you ready?"

Murder is not the best approach when treating multiple personality disorder.
Even killing just one personality can lead to the destruction of the entire personality.

Treating these personality types by "eliminating" them is tantamount to declaring war on them, and in the end, even the main personality will be affected.

So from the very beginning, she never intended to "kill" anyone.

As Qin Su had expected, the young crown prince, the tyrant of youth, although it took a little time, went relatively smoothly.

It wasn't until the main personality was encountered that the hypnosis session truly faced difficulties.

Darkness, dampness, and an overwhelming sense of oppression that made it almost impossible to breathe washed over her.

Halfway through the hypnosis session, she could clearly sense strong resistance from the other person's personality.

I tried twice more, and the reaction was still violent.

Qin Su was prepared for failure and planned to pause the process for now, resuming it later.

Suddenly, it felt like someone was hugging her, and she heard the familiar, gentle voice of the Prince Dog in her ear: "Will you stay?"

A thought struck her, and without much thought, she spoke first: "Yes."

"Didn't you lie to me?"

This time, his voice was low and deep, like that of a tyrant, and even the force with which he held her was stronger, as if he wanted to squeeze her into his very bones.

Qin Su's heart inexplicably quickened, her brain became excited, but her tone remained calm: "No."

She seemed to hear a soft laugh, but she couldn't tell who it was.

"as you wish."

The next moment, the world was suddenly illuminated by blinding light.
She instinctively closed her eyes.

Qin Su was ejected from the dream and immediately lost consciousness, falling into a deep sleep.

Chu Junyan opened his eyes, turned to look at the tired girl sleeping beside him, his slender fingers gently stroking her delicate cheek, his eyes dark and unfathomable:

"You wouldn't know that if you answer to go back, then tonight will be the death of that little thing."

"Welcome to my world, SuSu."

He smiled and kissed the girl's soft lips, passionate and forceful...

After struggling with the decision for many days and talking with the editor for an afternoon, I decided to end it according to the original ending.

Ugh,
Actually, according to the plan, posting this on the 30th of last month would have been the end of the main content, but I was still hesitant.

I'm torn. The two personalities, the prince and the tyrant, are both vivid and have their own distinct personalities and principles. I like them both very much. I really find it hard to imagine "who kills whom" or "who is in control and then one of them disappears."
No matter who disappears in the end, it will make me very sad.
Therefore, from the very beginning, the main text was intended to end this way.

But I couldn't help but think, let's wait a little longer, what if I come up with a better way that can satisfy both needs?
So I procrastinated from the 1st to today, the 11th, until I couldn't take it anymore, and finally I had to admit it...

My thinking hasn't changed.

I can't kill any of them.
The delay was so long that even my editor came to ask me what happened and why I hadn't updated for ten days, since the plot had flowed so smoothly during the previous serializations.

I told her, "Because the two personalities... are too vivid, I can't convince myself who overpowers whom, or who disappears, so I'm stuck here."

The editor suggested I write two endings.

But I... still don't want to write it that way.

Without integration, it would be a disservice to Su Su's hard work and perseverance along the way.

Therefore, this step is absolutely necessary.

But I couldn't bear to see that scene happen.

Today I finally made up my mind that, regardless of whether the readers criticize or accept it, I will still write according to the original plan. Waaaaah, it's so hard, I can't convince myself to make either of them disappear.

So let's end the main text here.

The rest are in the side stories.

I'm so sorry to have kept you waiting so long. *bows*
