Chapter 3 Jade Pendant Space
In less than a day, Suning's world was turned upside down.

She had once thought her father was a great and noble man, but he turned out to be a treacherous wolf in sheep's clothing. For decades, he had been pretending and plotting nothing more than to seize the Su family's wealth. He would not hesitate to cruelly coerce his own daughter in order to achieve his goal.

I once thought my closest friend was a complete egoist; my life and trust were worthless in her eyes.

How ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!
The smile that didn't reach my eyes, seemingly mocking yet inexplicably filled me with sadness.

Su Ning, carrying a pile of things home, suddenly felt a little lost: the father and daughter were having a pleasant and harmonious conversation, the stepmother was busy and virtuous at the dinner table, and the whole house was filled with tender warmth.

She seemed out of place, like the extra one.

"Ningning's back? Why is she standing at the door? Come on in, we've been waiting for you to start the meal!"

"Sister Ningning!"

"Ningning, come inside quickly. Your Aunt Qian has prepared a whole table full of dishes, all of which are your favorites."

Taking a deep breath, Su Ning tightened her grip on her arm and replied in as steady and gentle a tone as possible, "Okay."

……

After finishing her meal without tasting anything, Su Ning, using the excuse that she wanted to rest, took her things and returned to her room.

"Click~"

Lock the door and put down what you're carrying.

Looking around the bedroom, which is less than ten square meters, a 1.5-meter bed and a double-door wardrobe placed against the wall take up most of the space.

Below the three-tiered wooden shelf is a complete desk set, next to which is a dressing table specially customized for her by her maternal grandfather. The two small and exquisite dressing cases on the table are full of jewelry made for her by her mother when she was still alive.

In the hidden drawer beneath the dressing table, besides a diary and a coin box, were several precious keepsakes belonging to her mother.

Among them was the jade pendant that He Yue had been longing for, and something that Xu Zixin's good father had always wanted.

She remembered the magnolia-shaped jade pendant and a hairpin of the same design and material, both of which were family heirlooms left by her grandmother, whom she had never met.

Because of this reason, even though she knew He Yue had always wanted it, she didn't give in.

It wasn't until they were about to graduate from high school and both were about to become adults that he promised to give her the jade pendant as a coming-of-age gift.

At the time, I thought that since the two of them had been inseparable for so many years and had a relationship as good as sisters, it would be nice to have something of the same style as a memento.

Ah, it was all for naught in the end!

As Su Ning picked up the jade pendant and examined it, she suddenly remembered He Yue's words from the future scene she had glimpsed...

"Baby?"

"What kind of treasure is it exactly?"

She picked up the pencil sharpener from the desk and, as if possessed, found the magnolia hairpin.

Without hesitation, he cut his finger, and bright red blood dripped down instantly.

Just as she had seen, the blood was indeed completely absorbed, not only the jade pendant but also the hairpin.

The difference was that the jade pendant and hairpin that had absorbed her blood emitted soft white light, and in the blink of an eye they merged together and flew straight towards her brow.

Startled, Su Ning immediately looked at the dressing table. In the mirror, her forehead was completely unharmed, and after waiting for a while, she did not feel any discomfort in her body.

"What's going on? Where did the jade pendant and hairpin go...?"

As she thought of the magnolia flower pattern on the jade hairpin, the scene before her suddenly changed.

One moment they were in their own bedroom, the next they were in a completely unfamiliar place—

Two hills, one tall and one short, stand at the foot of which sits a small courtyard with blue bricks and gray tiles. A stream flowing from the mountains runs from south to north, gurgling and encircling the entire expanse of black soil.

The space isn't huge, but it's definitely not small either.

Even when the sun was shining brightly, the breeze was gentle, and everything was quiet and peaceful, the emptiness of having no other living beings besides herself made her feel uneasy.

"Where am I? I need to get out!"

As soon as she finished speaking, she darted back into the bedroom. Su Ning couldn't help but widen her eyes, hold her breath, and desperately pinch her inner thigh to keep from screaming.

Only when her face turned red and her chest began to feel tightness and pain did she start to breathe deeply.

A glimpse of the mud left on the sole of the slipper confirmed that everything that had just happened was not an illusion!

Having no time to ponder or research why the treasures she and He Yue had obtained and seen seemed so different, Su Ning, having calmed down and with her mind racing, only knew one thing—

With this treasure, she'll definitely be able to outwit the old fox!
His decades-long schemes have come to nothing, and he can forget about getting a single hair from the Su family!

"Thank you for the family heirloom, Grandma, and thank you for your painstaking arrangements, Grandpa! Once this is all done, Ning'er will definitely bring you both some delicious food and drinks to visit you."

With hands clasped together in gratitude, the tension that had been building all day finally eased a little.

……

After repeated experiments, she figured out the trick to getting in and out, and then she began to explore the space she named Peach Blossom Spring.

After wandering up mountains and down fields, inside and outside the yard without feeling tired at all, Suning was still full of energy and began "moving" with great enthusiasm.

First, we had to put the wooden whistle left by my grandfather, my mother's belongings, jewelry, and dressing case into the room in Peach Blossom Courtyard.

They chose the room with the best ventilation and lighting as the master bedroom, and didn't mind that there was no furniture in the room. Suning temporarily piled his things in the corner.

She slipped out of the space, humming a little tune in a good mood, and continued tidying up at a leisurely pace.

The coin box contains all her New Year's money, birthday red envelopes, and pocket money over the years, which she has barely touched except for very small daily expenses.

I counted them and there were more than 4,600 yuan, most of which were given to me by my maternal grandparents.

Leave behind a little over six hundred, and store the rest into your spatial storage.

Watches, pens, books…

Except for one or two sets of clothes, shoes, and bags for summer as spares, put away all the thick and thin quilts, carpets, blankets, and other items.

In a short while, only the furniture, ornaments, and odds and ends remained in the room.

After wandering around contentedly, Su Ning changed into some clothes that were easy to move in, took her graduation certificate and some change, picked up a durable canvas bag, and left the room.

At 3 p.m., Xu Zixin, who had only taken half a day off, and Qian Huiru had already gone to work.

As expected, Xu Shanshan, who couldn't stay at home, went out as soon as the holiday started.

After stuffing the things in her hand into the canvas bag, she quickly tied her long, loose hair into a high ponytail and walked to the low cabinet in Xu Zixin's bedroom.

He opened the metal box in the drawer, and without even looking at how much change or what kind of tickets it contained, he poured it all into his open bag.

After thinking it over carefully, Suning realized there was nothing she had forgotten. She walked out the gate, pushed her women's bicycle, and left the family compound.

The next step was to race against time and move the things her grandfather had left in the shadows before her eighteenth birthday.

Then, properly handle the inheritance of the will that is about to take effect and reclaim the mother's dowry.

She's busy with college application, planning and construction within the space... She doesn't have time to be sentimental or waste her energy on people who aren't worth it!
Having finally figured things out, Suning was filled with fighting spirit because of hope. He drove his car at lightning speed and disappeared from the gate in the blink of an eye.
