The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 897 The Witch Senior

Chapter 897 The Witch Senior
Before the gathering officially began, Moran gently moved the hands of the magic clock by the door of the witch's house to the icon representing "personal tents".

Upon opening the door, one enters a personal tent within the Explorers' Camp.

She didn't linger in the tent, but went straight out and headed towards the Starry Sky Palace.

During this period, many high-ranking witch explorers returned to Valen to prepare for the gathering.

As is customary, they would compile their experiences of space travel and exploration of other worlds in recent years into a book and store a copy on their personal bookshelf in the Starry Sky Hall for other members to refer to.

Moran planned to take the time before the rally officially began to copy down as much of the new information as possible and review it.

Knowing about the experiences of other witches over the years can help her quickly identify those predecessors who may possess the knowledge or resources she needs, making it easier to seek advice and make deals during the gathering.

Upon entering the Starry Sky Hall, Moran immediately noticed that several new bookshelves of various shapes and sizes had quietly appeared inside, already filled with numerous volumes, likely new acquisitions brought by the recently returned members.

She walked towards the direction where her bookshelf was located.

As she passed by Tracy's bookshelf, she noticed two witches dressed in traditional witch robes standing in front of the bookshelf, talking in hushed tones.

Hearing Moran's footsteps, the two of them looked up at the same time.

Out of politeness to her seniors, Moran smiled and nodded to them.

To her surprise, the witch with the radiant blonde hair and azure eyes lit up slightly, a friendly and knowing smile appearing on her face, and she said softly, "Is it Moran?"

The witch next to him, wearing a delicate monocle and with her black hair elegantly styled in a bun, nodded and smiled, saying, "Hello, Moran. I am Cecia, and this is Priscilla."

Upon hearing these two names, Moran was slightly taken aback at first, but then relevant information immediately came to mind, and a sense of respect arose in her heart.

She first encountered these two names in the introduction of a famous witch in the "Young Witches Series".

She can still vividly recall the stories about them in the "Young Witches Series":
"Cessia, ranked third among the twelve apprentices of the Book Witch, is recognized as the 'strongest alchemist witch'."

He was deeply involved in the design and setup of the wilderness protection magic circle, making significant contributions to the witch's occupation of the wilderness.

During her studies with the Book Witch, she assisted her mentor in refining and systematically integrating the previously scattered and cumbersome knowledge of witch alchemy, constructing a complete and rigorous theoretical framework and practical system for witch alchemy.

Her works, such as "Basic Alchemy Theory," "Alchemy," "Complete Book of Runes," "The Philosophy of Magic Circle Construction," and "The Complete Book of Magic Circles," remain essential classics for all witches learning alchemy, making her a pioneer and founder of witch alchemy.

Priscilla, the fifth of the twelve apprentices of the Book Witch, was revered by later witches as the "Merciful Hand".

She is the undisputed most powerful healing witch in the history of witches.

During the darkest period of persecution for witches, she followed the Book Witch through countless perilous places, using her miraculous healing skills and fearless courage to save thousands of her fellow witches who were suffering and on the verge of death. She was a beacon of hope for countless witches in their despair. After the Wilderness gained independence, she systematically organized and perfected the knowledge related to witch healing magic, combining it with her rich practical experience to complete the writing of classic works on healing magic such as "General Theory of Healing Magic," "Basic Healing Magic," and "Trauma and Healing," benefiting future generations.

These two legendary predecessors were among the first witches to embark on cosmic travels. Moran had read their cosmic travel logs and otherworldly experiences kept in the Starry Sky Hall and knew that although they were still most skilled in alchemy and healing magic, their knowledge was vast and their interests were extremely broad. They were definitely not just specialists who were proficient in only one or two types of magic.

Moran felt flattered to meet them here and be recognized by them.

Moran was still quickly reviewing the glorious deeds of these two witch predecessors in his mind when Cecilia spoke up in a cheerful tone, her words filled with undisguised admiration:
"As soon as we returned, we heard that the witch clan had produced four remarkable witches in succession!"

The witch Sylph used her exotic magic to cultivate the magical Witch Tree, which allowed our race to grow several times larger in a short period of time.
The Blood Witch Lilith used blood fusion magic to extract and combine the powerful bloodline talents of countless magical races into the witch, making us witches the undisputed strongest magical race in Valen!
The Devouring Witch Vasita's Devouring Magic endowed the witches with physical attributes comparable to top-tier magical beasts and an almost limitless rate of magic regeneration.

"And you, Card Witch—" She paused deliberately, her tone filled with astonishment.

"Using card magic to establish the Dawn Society, she single-handedly eliminated the crisis in the wilderness, and made all the forces in Valen dare not easily oppose the witch again!"

We've wanted to get to know you for a long time!

Pusilla, standing beside her, smiled gently and nodded.

"Card magic is truly amazing and incredibly convenient."

It is very useful for disseminating knowledge, acquiring resources, and carrying energy.

Your rate of growth is truly astonishing.

She changed the subject, her tone tinged with a slightly teasing helplessness, and leaned forward slightly, lowering her voice to ask:

"By the way...can't the drop rate of those rare cards in the gacha pool really be increased a bit more?"

“Yeah! At least those gacha games in other worlds have a pity system! Don’t you really want to consider introducing that?” Cecilia muttered.

Seeing these two legendary figures, so prominent and accomplished in witch history, revealing such a vivid and down-to-earth side about the probability of drawing cards, Moran suddenly felt that they were no different from her peers who would come to her because of bad luck in drawing cards.

This wonderful contrast made her burst out laughing, and she completely relaxed.

She suppressed a laugh and shook her head: "No, that won't do~ There's a risk in drawing cards. It's safer to buy the cards you really need directly from the card shop!"

Of course, she was a little hesitant to say that.

When she checks the card-drawing data, she often secretly uses a little bit of her privileges to create a "hidden pity" for witches who have incredibly bad luck, have invested heavily but have gained nothing, or for young witches who don't have much resource, so that they can at least get one card they want in their next draw.

However, such rule-breaking behavior should never be discussed openly.
