The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 59 has finally sprouted.

Chapter 59 has finally sprouted.

Moran and her friends had just finished dinner when Lilith kicked them out of her dorm room:

"Go back, go back! You have class tomorrow!"

She felt that if she spent even a second longer with the younger female students, her dignity as a senior would be in jeopardy.

Moran and the other two did not notice anything unusual about Lilith.

After eating and drinking to their hearts' content, they happily went home.

After washing up, Moran lay on the wooden bed in the bedroom. The witch's book magic supported the witch's book, which floated above her, as if she had returned to the time before the apocalypse in her previous life, when she was lying in bed reading novels on her phone stand.

However, the book I'm reading now, "What Exactly is Magic?", is much more boring than the novel.

"Magic is the use of energy."

Energy exists in different forms, but only magic is the most fundamental form of energy. Magic possesses the greatest inclusiveness and power of all energies.

All forms of energy other than magic are merely variations of magic…

Moran got sleepy as she watched.

With a thud, the heavy witch's book lost its support and fell vertically, hitting her face and eliciting a cry of pain.

Suddenly all sleepiness disappeared.

She pushed the book aside, rubbed her nose, and looked in the mirror. Thankfully, she wasn't disfigured!
"I was wrong. Witch's Book magic and phone stands are completely different!"

Moran behaved himself, put the Book of Witches aside, and went to sleep.

"Dang~dang~"

It’s a new week again.

Moran left the dormitory with a satchel on her back, the Book of Witches beside her, bread and fruit cake in her mouth, and a roll of parchment in her hand.

Hearing the door to the dormitory on her left open, she looked over and said, "Good morning, Vasita!"

"Good morning, Moran! Why are you carrying so much stuff?" Vasita only had a wand in her pocket.

Living next to the breadfruit grove, her stomach was always full, transforming her from a little witch who would faint from hunger at the slightest mistake into the little witch with the most food stored in her belly.

She had class in the planting area this afternoon and didn't even bring any snacks for lunch.

“Well, the road to the castle is too far. Let’s find some work to do along the way!” Moran said.

Vasita wiped her eyes, activated her energy vision, and looked at the parchment in her hand. Sure enough, it was being stained!
Can you still do this?
"Moran, wait for me, I'll bring the parchment with me too."

She darted back into her dorm room, and when she came out again, she was just like Moran.

"Go! Go and call Sylph!"

Moran and Vasita took a deep breath outside dormitory 68 and then shouted, "Silf, off to school!"

"Click~" The dormitory door opened, and Sylph came out holding a flowerpot: "Moran, Vasita! My bellflower has finally sprouted!"

"Really?" Moran and Vasida immediately leaned over to look.

On the morning of her second day at school, Sylph planted the bellflower seed that had appeared in the Seed Box.

She placed it on the windowsill in her bedroom, and the first thing she did every day when she returned to her dorm was to check if it had sprouted.

Moran and Vasida had heard her say many times why the bellflowers hadn't sprouted yet.

Now, in the very center of that ceramic pot, a yellowish-green bud has sprouted, while another bud is still curled up and has not yet unfolded.

"It really sprouted?" Moran asked with great curiosity, even wanting to blow on it to see if it would make a tinkling sound.

However, these were seeds from Sylph's Box of Myriad Seeds, and reason kept her mouth shut.

Forgive her for being naive and unsophisticated.

There are many wildflowers and weeds in Emerald Creek Plain, but no bellflowers. Moran had only seen descriptions of bellflowers in the short stories about young witches in the "Young Witches Series".

It is said that this flower will make a tinkling sound when you blow on it.

Some witches love excitement and will plant some in their witch's house.

Some witches love quiet, and the bellflowers near their homes often suffer from their malpractice.

Vasita was similarly naive; her witch mother was the quiet type who caused bellflowers to die out wherever she went.

She couldn't resist and gently blew a breath through her lips.

However, nothing happened.

"Haha!" Sylph laughed. "It's just a little sprout! It hasn't even bloomed yet, so it can't make a sound! When it blooms, I'll give each of you a bunch to hang by the window. When the wind blows, it will tinkle and catch the sound of the wind!"

Vasita: "..."

Moran: New knowledge acquired!

Sylph shared her joy with her friends, then happily put her precious flowerpot back in its place and prepared to go to school.

"By the way, what are you doing with the parchment? Do you need it for class?" Sylph asked.

“Moran said the road to the castle is too far, so we should find some work to do along the way.” Vasita said, “You should take a copy with you too! It won’t be difficult to absorb the ink as you go. Try to copy down the whole set of ‘The Birth of a Beautiful Cover’ as soon as possible.”

Sylph was greatly inspired, and another little witch carrying a parchment to school was added to the list.

Other little witches wanted to learn, but their magical penetration wasn't strong enough to directly stain an entire roll of paper.

“What’s the big deal? You can just spread out the dyed parchment a little bit, right? Once it’s dyed, roll it up together, and in the end, it’ll still be a roll of dyed parchment,” Moran said.

“(○o○)!” The little witches scattered like birds and beasts.

They each went back to get their parchment.

A new cover can't be made in a short time, but you can prepare plenty of blank inner pages!

If you don't copy all the books in the college when you graduate, you might regret it for the rest of your life!

Along the mountain path, the little witches formed a long line, staining the parchment as they walked.

Lilith, who had gotten up early to copy "The Birth of a Beautiful Magic Wand" from the library, flew across the sky on her broomstick. Seeing this, she was completely stunned.

I really want to wake up all the students who are still sleeping in to see what's going on; the first graders are absolutely insane!

Think back to last year, what were they doing on their way to school?
Chasing each other, gossiping and chatting?
Where are the female students? They're actually staining parchment.

That female student, who was known for her rigorous academic performance, was even reading a book while soaking the parchment in her own ink!
No, no! I'm outta here!
"Wow! It's Senior Lilith! She's gone to the castle so early, she's really hardworking! No wonder she's a witch!"

"All the witches work just as hard! Moran works even harder."

"We need to work hard too!"

"Ok!"

The little witches watched the departing figures in the sky and encouraged each other.

Moran glanced up, then continued reading the Book of Witches.

The book "What Exactly is Magic?" was quite soporific to read in bed last night, but this morning I found it to be full of valuable information.

This book will be covered in our basic magic theory class this morning, so taking a look beforehand is like a preview.

With things to do along the way, I found myself realizing how quickly time had passed when I reached the castle.

Today, Moran was going to a theory class he had never been to before, and his attention finally shifted from the book to the map.
