If all mental energy is cultivated into active mental energy, one can control one's soul to separate from the physical body with life force, preventing the soul from being tainted by the power of death when the physical body dies.

Moran even read in a book that some sorcerers used this method to separate a part of their soul and place it in an alchemical golem in order to achieve immortality.

However, if the soul is incomplete, perception, understanding, memory, thinking, and even control over the body will be affected. The pain of cutting the soul will accompany one for life, with very serious side effects.
