The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 519 Green Ghost Hotel

Vasita drove the carriage to the inn's parking shed.

Lilith got out of the car first and spoke with the attendant at the parking shed.

Upon hearing from the manager that the inn offered deep cleaning and lacquer maintenance services for carriages, he immediately asked Moran, "Master, should we clean and maintain the carriages again?"

Moran nodded.

Now they can no longer use witch's cleaning magic to clean the carriage, so they can only rely on manual washing and maintenance.

After handing the carriage over to the caretaker, Moran and the others left the carriage shed almost impatiently.

Every carriage in the inner city had been exposed to the dirty and chaotic environment of the outer city. Although they were washed before entering the inner city, they still easily evoked unpleasant associations.

Even the fragrant carport makes one wonder if it might be hiding something.

I finally breathed a sigh of relief after entering the hotel.

As expected of a hotel named after the precious green phantom fruit, the hotel lobby is exceptionally grand and imposing, making one feel as if they have entered a palace.

The spaciousness made people feel more relaxed.

However, the process of booking the room was unpleasant.

"What? 100 gold coins for a night in a small suite?" Lilith's voice rose slightly. "That expensive? You might as well rob someone!"

Having traveled from Green Forest Town to Lance City and then from Lance City to here, they had some understanding of the prices of human inns.

The person in charge of greeting guests at the counter was also a magic apprentice. At this moment, he wished he could roll his eyes to the back of his head and ask the poor guest to leave so as not to dirty the hotel's carefully polished floor tiles.

But the dazzling high-ranking mage badge on Moran's robes made him hesitant to act rashly, and he said with an awkward smile:
"Our Green Ghost Inn is the most upscale in the entire Green City. The decor is luxurious and the service is impeccable. It's definitely worth the price. Noble mages are our regular guests. How about this? If you book a small suite, I'll give you a dining voucher so you can enjoy a four-person set meal for free at the restaurant on the first floor."

"Can I eat for as many days as I stay?" Vasita asked. Sylph and Lilith also stared at the waiter named Parker, as if they wouldn't stop until they heard the answer.

Whether it's magic or gold coins, their desires are now incredibly strong. Parker doesn't even need to act; he can feel the immense pressure.

"You'll eat for as many days as you stay... This is the kind of treatment only VIPs receive. Of course, this esteemed high-ranking mage deserves it. May I ask your name?"

Parker's gaze passed over the three aggressive, poor apprentices and landed on their mentor behind them.

“Moran,” Moran said in the language of the Magic Empire.

“Lord Moran! Welcome!” Parker said eagerly.

If he had a high-level mage mentor, why would he need to be here receiving all sorts of random people?

Lilith opened the money box and counted out one hundred gold coins for Parker: "Stay for one day, and we'll see how things go later!"

The Magic Carriage is already undergoing deep cleaning and lacquer maintenance in the carriage shed. No matter how expensive it is, they can't leave now. Fortunately, they can eat for free in the restaurant. I just don't know if the chef's skills are worth the price.

Parker stared at the chest overflowing with gold coins, including some magical ones, and fell into a deep silence.

She said, "A senior mage's apprentice can't be so poor!" Turns out, he wasn't poor, he was just stingy!

Once inside the suite, Lilith, Vasita, and Sylph checked the doors, windows, and interior. After confirming that everything was alright, they pushed the furniture aside and set up a tent.

Once inside the tent, where their voices wouldn't carry, they felt safe to speak. "This hotel is luxurious, but it's too expensive. We need to hold our experience-sharing session quickly and then leave as soon as possible!" Lilith said.

Vasita and Sylph shared the same idea.

“We’ll go to the hotel restaurant later and see if there are any monks there. If the conditions are right, we can use the identity of Senior Monk Moran to talk to them and put up promotional posters for the experience-sharing meeting in the restaurant,” Vasida said.

“The hotel has a fairly large interior space; experience-sharing sessions can even be held right inside the hotel,” Sylph said.

Lilith nodded: "I just took the opportunity to show off my wealth. When I send out the {Dawn Academy Trial Invitation} after the experience sharing session, I can tell them that our money was earned in Lance City by the Dawn Academy. That way, someone will definitely give it a try."

“Once someone tries it, it’s only a matter of time before the Dawn Society spreads throughout Green City,” Vasida said.

……

The three of them were having a lively discussion, and Moran couldn't find a way to join in.

After they finished their discussion and were about to go to other parts of the hotel to check on the situation, Moran finally couldn't help but ask, "What about me?"

“A distinguished high mage like you certainly can’t show yourself to attend to such trivial matters! We apprentices will go, and we’ll bring you lunch later!” Lilith said.

“That’s right! You’re in a very important position now, so leave these small things to us!” Vasita and Sylph said.

The three of them left the room together, leaving Moran alone.

Moran shook his head and chuckled, summoning the Book of Cards and preparing the cards to send to the witches.

One {Card Magic Contract} in Witch Language, one {Dawn Society Promotional Guidance Plan} in Witch Language, and one {Dawn Society Trial Invitation Card} in Common Language were all made and sent to Ms. Amisha's card album.

Not long after, Ms. Amisa sent her a message.

[Amisha: All the letters have been sent.]

[Moran: Received!]

[Amisha: Have you contacted Lady Carmela yet?]

Moran: No. Carmela might not be available right now. I'll try again tomorrow.

[Amisha: Okay. Let me know if you need any help.]

……

Not long after Lilith and the others finished their conversation with Ms. Amisa, they returned.

A large package was placed on the table:
"Mentor! The experience sharing session is all set. It will be held tomorrow night at 11 p.m. in the hotel restaurant! Fifty people have already signed up. Here is the admission fee. I took two magic coins and rented the right to use the restaurant for the entire night from the restaurant manager."

"So fast?" Moran asked in surprise.

“The hotel restaurant is very large, and there’s a small stage where there are always performances. We took your High Mage badge and went to the small stage to talk about organizing a High Mage experience sharing session, and many mages wanted to come!” Lilith said.

“I’ve sold an extra front-row seat to the room manager for the presentation. Our room can be used until tomorrow night; we’ll leave after the presentation, so we won’t have to pay for a second night!” Vasita said. (End of Chapter)
