Chapter 402 The Title of Witch

Chapter 402 The Title of Witch
Although there are no magic books, there are quite a few books about the customs and culture of the magic empire.

They are all written in the local language, which is more authentic than the version of The Witches that Moran read before.

While different regions in the human world have their own local dialects, the written language remains unified.

Both the Magic Empire and the Yara Empire have their own unified written language and official language.

The Witch Academy offered elective courses in the corresponding Imperial language. Moran not only completed the basic part of the elective courses and learned the pronunciation, but also read a lot of dictionaries and language books in the Magical Imperial language and the Yara Imperial language. Now, when reading these books, there are basically no language barriers.

Moran copied the remaining space in the Book of Witches into human books. Estimating that it was almost time to meet Lilith and the others, she transformed the magic carpet back into its more agile broom form and flew to the main castle gate.

"Lilith!" The senior student arrived even earlier than her.

"How's it going? Have you copied down all the books you wanted?" Lilith asked her.

“My Book of Witches can’t hold another new book,” Moran said with a smile. “These books should keep me occupied for a long time.”

“That’s good,” Lilith said. “Once Vasita and Sylph arrive, we’ll go to the South Tower again.”

"South Tower?" Moran thought of the layout of the clan castle that Senior Lilith had mentioned before: "The Witch Title Assessment Office?"

"Should we apply for the title of witch?" Vasita and Sylph came over as well.

“That’s right! We don’t know when we’ll be able to attend the clan gathering again, so let’s apply for it while we’re at it!” Lilith said. “We might not need it this time when we go to the Kingdom of Lance, but we never know when we might need it!”

Moran nodded in agreement: "The 'Valen Continent Travel Guide' also says that the witch title badge is proof of our witches' strength in the wilderness, and it can be used to find a job or start your own business!"
Besides, we don't always have to play the wizard; sometimes we can play the ordinary witch!

The witch title badge is actually quite intimidating and widely recognized in the wilderness.

"Okay!"

The four witches hit it off immediately and flew towards the witch title assessment area in the South Tower.

While witches could still be seen flying in and out on broomsticks from time to time at the main castle, things were much calmer at the south tower.

In the dark clan meeting space, there was not a single ray of light in the old south tower.

If it weren't for the fact that the only entrance to the South Tower was slightly ajar, one would have thought that there were no witches on duty at the Witch Title Assessment Office today.

Moran and the other three carefully pushed open the door and went inside. It was a very small hall with only a wooden table.

On the table was a wooden plaque that read "Witch Title Assessment Office - Tiffany the Witch on Duty".

The witch on duty, dressed in a black robe, was fast asleep, her head resting on the table.

Nighttime is when the clan association goes to work!

Lilith shook her head at Moran and the others, then stepped forward and even used her megaphone to shout, "Ms. Tiffany!"

"!!!" Tiffany sat bolt upright in shock: "Who?"

Moran, Vasita, and Sylph were still in shock at their senior's sudden loud call and didn't know how to respond.

Lilith shook her head disapprovingly at the witch on duty: "Ms. Tiffany, slacking off at work is not acceptable!"

"It's Lady Lilith!" Tiffany breathed a sigh of relief. "You know how easy it is for me, hardly any witches come here all year round."

"What do you want? Didn't you just get evaluated a few months ago? You've been promoted again so quickly?"

Before Lilith could answer, she saw Moran and the other two, and exclaimed in realization:
"Are all the witches applying for titles? They've already reached high-level magic rank right after graduation?"

Moran and the other two nodded.

"As expected of a witch!" Tiffany exclaimed. "Please follow me, everyone!" Following Tiffany, they passed through a door and entered a large room, in the middle of which stood a huge tin bear.

It is several times larger than the training dolls in the academy's magic training ground.

Upon entering the room, one's gaze is immediately drawn to this large tin bear.

"Wow! What is this?" Vasita exclaimed.

"It must be a test magic bear!"

Moran had seen the alchemical blueprints for the test magic bear doll; the finished product resembled a tin bear, but there was one thing that was a little strange:
"Does the test magic bear need to be this big?"

The test magic bear is a more refined and advanced magic doll than the training doll, but its function is only to test the witch's magic level, and it is not necessarily more powerful the bigger it is.

"It is indeed a test magic bear, but this is an upgraded version of magic made with otherworldly star iron!"

The Star Iron Magic Bear can store the test subject's magic to attack enemies. The more magic stored, the larger the magic bear will grow.

The wilderness has been peaceful for hundreds of years, and the Star Iron Magic Bear only takes in and doesn't give out, so it has grown to this size.

The south tower has already had three floors removed; if it gets any bigger, it might have to be moved outside!

Fortunately, we no longer need to use the Star Iron Magic Bear for testing.

Tiffany walked to a corner of the hall where there was a treasure chest: "Do any of you have character cards? Please show them to me."

Lilith wasn't surprised at all.

Moran, Vasita, and Sylph handed over the {character cards}, completely bewildered.

Moran even changed the text on his character card to witch script before handing it to Tiffany.

Tiffany didn't even glance at it, simply placed the three character cards on the treasure chest, patted the chest, and said, "Get to work!"

The treasure chest suddenly opened its gaping maw and took a deep breath: "Ha—te—"

It spat out a huge pile of all sorts of badges.

"So many?" Tiffany exclaimed in surprise as she floated over and distributed the badges.

"These are Lady Vasita's Green Witch, Blue Witch, and Orange Witch title badges."

These are Lady Sylph's insignia for her titles of Green Witch, Planting Witch, and Potions Witch.

After giving out badges to Vasita and Sylph, Tiffany still had sixteen badges left.

"Then these should all belong to Lord Moran."

She looked at Moran and swallowed hard: "Food witch, sewing witch, space witch, alchemy witch, potion witch, gold witch, green witch, blue witch, red witch, orange witch, cyan witch, purple witch, snow witch, white witch, black witch, and elemental witch?"

Tiffany asked incredulously, "Lord Moran, you just graduated, right?"

“That’s right,” Moran said.

After a long pause, Tiffany managed to squeeze out a dry, curt remark: "Truly a witch!"

Vasita and Sylph, both witches: "..."

Having received the badge, Moran and the others said goodbye and left.

Lilith, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly stopped at the edge of the clan's meeting space: "Moran, you've got so many advanced spells?"
