Chapter 259 Guide to Traveling on the Mainland

Chapter 259 Guide to Traveling on the Mainland

After copying down the books from the third-grade library and the teaching videos, Moran went back to her dormitory to watch them.

The mainland travel guide course consists of 20 instructional videos, each lasting three hours.

However, before watching the video, it's still advisable to take a look at the textbook to get a general understanding of the course content.

The textbook for the continental travel guide course, "A Guide to Traveling in the Continent of Valen," explains the customs and traditions of the major racial regions of the continent of Valen and provides precautions for travel.

It's a book similar to "The Witch's Guide to Wilderness Life" for second graders.

However, since witches are the masters of the wilderness, and witches' customs are the customs of the wilderness, "The Witch's Guide to Wilderness Life" focuses more on geographical knowledge.

The "Travel Guide to the Continent of Valen" focuses more on humanities.

The first chapter of the textbook is a world map.

This was also the first time Moran had seen such a detailed world map of Valen.

The world was far more vast than she had imagined.

The Valen world is divided into the main world and the sub-world.

The main world consists of the surface world and the underground world.

Witches, sorceresses, angels, dragons, humans, elves, dwarves, and orcs are all representative races living on the surface of the world.

The Earth's surface is 70% land and 30% ocean, with only a portion of these areas occupied by intelligent races.

The central and eastern coastal areas of the land region belong to humans, and human kingdoms are numerous.

The southern wilderness belongs to witches and sorceresses.

The highest mountain in the West, Mount Paradise, belongs to the angels.

The Elf Forest in the southeast belongs to the elves.

The Dulin volcanic cluster in the northwest belongs to the kingdom of dwarfs.

The northern grasslands belong to the Orcish royal court.

The islands in the ocean belong to the dragons, while the underwater areas belong to the kraken and mermaids.

These races and regions are the main focus of the "Travel Guide to the Continent of Valen," and will be discussed in dedicated chapters later on.

Other races either survive in the cracks between these races or depend on them, and are not covered in the course on traveling across the continent.

The underground world and its sub-worlds are shown on the map, but they are only briefly mentioned in the first chapter's overview of the world, and are not explained in detail in later chapters.

If some surface-dwelling regions are not considered dangerous by witches and therefore not discussed in detail in the textbooks, then the underground world is not included in the textbooks because it is too chaotic and dangerous, and witches below the peak level are not advised to travel there on their own.

From the world map and the overview in the first chapter, we can know that the underground world is roughly divided into two regions: one is the dark region where various dark races live, and the other is the abyss controlled by demons.

The sub-worlds, on the other hand, are not covered in the mainland travel guide courses because they are too difficult to enter.

The Elemental Realm and the demiplane where the Witch Academy is located are both sub-worlds that are dependent on the main world. They all have entry thresholds and are not areas that can be reached normally.

Many witches spend their entire lives without finding the entrance to the subworld, which is the least popular travel area, so there's no need to teach it in the basic compulsory courses.

When Moran was copying books today, he saw many travelogues, including several travelogues from the sub-world.

However, that was all part of self-study outside of class.

Moran carefully examined the world map and gained a general understanding of the spheres of influence of various races in the Valen world before he began to watch the tutorial videos.

After listening for a few minutes and finding it easy to follow the explanation, she increased the playback speed.

I finished watching instructional videos 1-4 before Sunday night.

Feeling a bit hungry, she went to the storeroom while listening to the lecture to get some ingredients to cook dinner.

Upon entering the room, she exclaimed, "Where are all those big pieces of cured meat?" "This meat came from the food distribution point. It's not suitable for third graders to eat, and it was collected yesterday," said Amisha, number 69.

Moran: "..."

If she had known that even the cured meat she had made would be taken back, she would have eaten it all a couple of days ago!

Well, now all the meat I stockpiled is gone.

Not only was the meat gone, but the Dudu bird eggs in the basket were also gone.

Originally, she just wanted to explore the inner area in advance to prepare for moving out of the dormitory at the end of the academic year.

Now she wants to hurry up and go to the inner area to hunt and get some meat to eat.

With such intense studying every day, how can I not eat meat!
Using cards is fine, but using cards for everything would be too complacent and would dampen her enthusiasm for exploration.

Moran picked some vegetables from the vegetable garden and farmland to make dinner.

The vegetarian meal left her feeling no happiness whatsoever. That evening, while watching instructional videos, she quietly sped up her pace, only resting after finishing two videos.

On Monday, Moran didn't go to class at the Academy Castle. As soon as she opened her eyes, she took out the projector and started watching the instructional videos.

Cooking and eating were all done while watching videos.

After watching instructional videos 7-10 in the morning, Moran called out to Ms. Amisha (number 69) during her lunch break: "Dean, could you please inform Ms. Amisha, who teaches the third grade, that I would like to request that the Continental Travel Instruction course's final exam be held during tomorrow afternoon's basic math class?"

"understood."

Moran then continued watching the instructional videos.

Four periods in the afternoon and two periods in the evening.

I'll watch four more quarters on Tuesday morning.

While watching the videos, I would also refer to the textbook. By the time I finished watching the teaching videos, I had also finished reading the textbook.

At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Moran appeared in the basic math classroom on time.

All the little witches were in the classroom.

The little witches did not choose to watch videos to learn basic math lessons in private; they only used the instructional videos as a means of review.

After all, even attending a live lecture can be difficult to understand, let alone watching a video lecture. You can't ask questions whenever you encounter problems.

After all, the Dean's clones are not all the same, and the Guardian Dean knows nothing about mathematics on Earth.

The little witches, who had just endured a morning of grueling math lessons, were astonished to see Moran arrive.

This scene feels so familiar!

“I remember now!” Vasita asked, “Moran, you’re not here to take your graduation exam, are you?”

The same thing happened last year. Moran didn't need to attend any classes, but she suddenly showed up for the graduation exam.

"No way! It's only the second day of school!"

The little witches didn't quite believe it.

"Yes! I'll take the final exam for the mainland travel guidance course." Moran found an empty seat and sat down.

Little witch: "!!!"

Some little witches had only attended one day of the Continental Travel Instruction course, while others had already completed the entire course and were preparing for their graduation exam.

And needless to say, it will definitely pass, and it will definitely get a perfect score!

They've been together for two years, and in all the tests, big and small, Moran has never gotten a score other than perfect.

So, while they were surprised, none of the little witches thought that Moran's graduation exam would go wrong.
