Chapter 22 Overuse of Magic
Just as the card was about to solidify, Moran felt a weakness coming from within, and the next moment he lost consciousness.

Without the supply of magic, the Book of Cards also vanished without a trace.

Lilith withdrew her hand and caught the unconscious Moran: "Luckily I reacted quickly! Otherwise, you would have been bedridden for a month!"

She helped the unconscious Moran and walked towards her dormitory.

Sylph and Vasita, who were clearing weeds in the yard, saw this and quickly came over to help.

One person helped open the gate to Moran's courtyard, while another helped carry Moran.

Unable to contain her worry, she asked, "What's wrong with her?"

"I rashly mobilized my magic power and didn't control it well. The consumption was too great, and I fainted," Lilith said.

Who would have thought that Vasida, who seemed most prone to accidents, was full of energy, while Moran, who seemed most composed, fainted!

This year's female students! Don't judge a book by its cover, they're all incredibly reckless.

Now he was also worried about Vasita and Sylph, and gave them some instructions:

"You two shouldn't be as impatient as Moran when researching your talent manifestations. It's best to wait until after the first week of classes, when you can roughly control your power and have a sense of proportion, before you mobilize your magic to research your talent manifestations!"

Try not to deplete your magic power.

Vasita, it's fine if you can replenish your energy by eating from your Devouring Stomach, but Sylph, you must be careful. Once your magic is overused and completely depleted, the recovery time will increase exponentially, and your body will fall into a state of weakness.

It's also my fault; I spoke too slowly, and Moran's magic went uncontrollably into the Book of Cards.

Thankfully, I stopped her in time. Moran's magic wasn't completely depleted; a rest would be enough. However, resting would require some effort to fully restore her magic by Monday.

Vasita and Sylph nodded vigorously, relieved that Moran was alright.

However: "Senior, are you saying that we can also use magic to study the materialized form of talent?"

This time, Lilith learned her lesson. She wouldn't mention what to do next, only saying:
"Once you get your own witch's book, find a book called 'The Witch's Path' and you'll understand! Understand it clearly before you try it, and don't be reckless!"

The three of them worked together to get Moran into bed.

"Senior! When will Moran wake up?"

Although she knew Moran was alright, Vasida was still a little worried; her face looked terrible.

Her dark circles were only slightly less pronounced than those of the zombie in her house.

“She was researching talent manifestations all night last night, I reckon she won’t wake up until tonight,” Lilith said.

"Then I'll come see her again this evening."

Vasita and the other two left Moran's dormitory.

As evening fell, Moran got up, rubbing the back of her head which was throbbing slightly. She looked up and saw three dark figures sitting quietly by the bed, which startled her.

"Moran! You're finally awake!"

"how do you feel?"

Hearing Sylph and Vasita's voices, Moran's heart, which had been pounding, finally settled: "What happened to me? I don't remember condensing cards..."

He raised his hand to summon the Book of Cards to examine the cards, but Lilith grabbed his hand:
"Stop summoning! You still have a little magic left, but really only a little!"
Although it can summon the manifestation of one's talent, this little bit of magic might run out in a flash, and then you won't be as comfortable as you are now.

Don't you feel weak? That's your body giving you a warning because your magic has reached its limit!

After being lectured by Lilith, Moran finally understood what had happened: "I'm sorry! I made everyone worry." She had been too eager to succeed, but thankfully, she hadn't made a big mistake.

Seeing that she understood the gravity of the situation, Lilith released her grip: "It's good that you understand. Be more careful in the future. Besides feeling weak, are you experiencing any other discomfort?"

"Well... the back of my head hurts a little, but otherwise I'm fine," Moran said.

Lilith guiltily looked away.

The first time I used a karate chop to knock someone out, I didn't control the force well, it was a little too strong.

"You're alright now. Your magic power isn't completely depleted. Use this little bit of magic power as a starting point to recover some of your magic power, and your physical discomfort will disappear. Just be careful when using your magic power."

"Senior! When will my magic fully recover? Will it affect my classes on Monday?" Moran asked anxiously.

"It will take at least a week for you to fully recover naturally! If you don't want it to affect your classes, eat more breadfruit, and you might be able to get back to your peak condition."

Seeing that she was indeed worried about this, Lilith comforted her, "It's okay if you don't recover to your full strength. Magic power is of higher quality than magical power. If you recover 10% or 20%, and use your magic power sparingly, it will be enough to cope with the next week's classes."

"Gulu~"

Vasita instinctively clutched her stomach, but immediately realized something was wrong: "It wasn't me! I'm full!"

Moran smiled awkwardly: "It's me."

I haven't eaten all day, I'm hungry.

She got up and got out of bed. Sylph tried to help her, but Moran waved her hand and said, "It's alright, I'm not that weak yet."

She went downstairs to the storage room, picked off a breadfruit from the string she had brought back the day before yesterday, took a deep breath, and took a big bite.

The next moment, her face scrunched up in pain.

There was no other way; in order to recover some magic power quickly, she had to eat it.

Lilith looked at Vasita, then said, "Well, this is an exception," before turning to Sylph: "See? This is the price of excessive mana consumption!"

Sylph felt a pang of envy just looking at Moran: "I really envy Vasita!"

Moran, who considered eating breadfruit as torture, wholeheartedly agreed.

Under the envious and jealous gazes of the three women, Vasita tapped her fingers: "(*▽*)"

It was too sour, so Moran didn't even dare to chew it properly. She took a bite and swallowed it whole, only managing to finish about half of it before feeling full.

And I did feel my strength returning: "Senior, how much of my magic has been restored?"

"Less than half a percent!" Lilith revealed the harsh truth: "Breadfruit is too filling; you can't eat too much at once..."

Vasita: "???"

“…Except for Vasita!” Lilith added, “The energy level of the magic is high, so the amount of magic that can be restored is limited. You need to eat more breadfruit to recover faster.”

The dormitory was brightly lit, but Moran felt it was dark and sour!

Two days ago, she thought that although breadfruit could restore magic, it tasted so bad that she would never eat it unless absolutely necessary!

I brought the ingredients back yesterday and then relegated the breadfruit to the back of the closet (the storage room).

Who would have thought that today she would not only eat breadfruit, but also pray that it wouldn't fill her up too much so she could eat more.
