The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 1018 Moran's Laying-Down Daily Life 3

"The Well of Sky really can find anything!"

Moran sighed, then picked up his glass and took a small sip, his eyes immediately lighting up with amazement:
"Melice, your winemaking skills are absolutely amazing! You always surprise me with something new."

Melis smiled shyly, her cheeks slightly flushed: "I'm glad you like it."

Shana picked up the tavern menu, her fingertips tracing the familiar dish names she could recite by heart, and sighed softly:
"Melice, when can you serve some new dishes? These same old dishes haven't changed in hundreds of years, and I'm getting really tired of them."

Don't tell me you lack talent. You're a second-generation witch who grew from the Witch Tree; talent has never been an issue for you!

Melis shrugged helplessly: "Although the second-generation witch has unlimited talent in all magic types, time is ultimately limited! Just researching these new wines and learning magic to protect myself has already taken up most of my energy. I really don't have time to delve into food!"

As she spoke, her gaze fell upon Moran, who was leisurely sipping her wine, and her tone carried a hint of admiration: "Not everyone can curl their hair like Lord Moran!"

Upon hearing this, Shana's gaze fell on Moran.

At this moment, Moran was comfortably nestled on a soft cushion, savoring "Whispers of the Moon" in one hand, while idly stroking Zizi next to her who was drinking through a straw with the other. Her expression was as lazy as a cat basking in the sun.

Now, she no longer resembles the Witch of the Scrolls even slightly.
"What are your plans next?" Shana asked softly.

Moran thought for a moment, then traced a circle on the rim of the cup with her fingertip: "I'll probably go stay in the rose garden for a while. The mutated hollow tree I planted there is growing fast."

The place where Lilith planted the hollow tree is a beautiful spot, and she still misses it dearly!
Since Lilith and the others haven't returned yet, and the hollow tree isn't there either, she planted her mutated hollow tree there.

With her abilities, she could have easily accelerated the ripening of the mutated hollow tree, but she's not in a hurry now. She just planted it and left it there, accelerating its ripening every now and then when she goes to visit. It's almost ripe now.

"And then?" Shana pressed.

“And then…” Moran’s eyes gleamed with a sly light, “I want to create a real mobile witch’s home, so I can go wherever I want and have fun. I can also use my bard skills to tell stories to the people I meet on my journey.”

Before graduation, what she wanted most was a mobile witch's house.

Later, she made the {Space Tent Card}, {Mobile Residence Card}, and even the {Mirror Space Card} with a door to anywhere. They were perfect in every way, but they were still a little bit different from the mobile witch's house in her mind that could take her on aimless trips.

Now that I have nothing to do, I'm going to fulfill my past wishes.

As for storytelling, that's purely a quirky hobby of hers. She has so many captivating long stories on Earth; she plans to tell them wherever she goes. Whether the audience can finish listening is none of her concern.

"Are there no plans to go to the Sky Well for the time being?" Shana asked.

Moran shook her head: "I'll talk about it when I'm done playing with it."

Shana sighed softly:

“I used to think you pushed yourself too hard, always studying magic or trying to get stronger, and even speeding up the flow of time in the mirror space because you felt there wasn’t enough time. I advised you to take a break, but you always said you enjoyed it. Now that you’ve actually taken a break, I’m a little worried.”

Moran's mental defenses were impenetrable; Shana could no longer discern her true thoughts. Yet, a mother's instinct still made her vaguely worried about her daughter's almost abnormally relaxed state.

Moran's mental magic is now dozens of times stronger than her mother's. Even without consciously trying, she can sense the emotional fluctuations of those around her. She smiled and moved closer:

"Please, Mom, I'm a super tenth-level witch now! Tens of thousands of worlds use my card magic as an essential spell. Even if I do nothing every day, I still have a large amount of permanent and one-time magic power coming in."

Moran whispered a rough number in Shana's mother's ear:

"My magic power keeps increasing, and for the time being, I can't find a higher-level world to learn more advanced magical knowledge."

With nothing to do, all you can do is enjoy life!

Saving all the planets across timelines brought her far more than just the Eternal Homecoming Order.

With so many Earths across so many timelines, and so many humans with spiritual talents, her card magic market expanded countless times.

In addition, she designed different versions of card magic and granted invitations to high-ranking witches. When they travel to the universe to save endangered and level zero worlds, they can also promote card magic if the conditions are right, and receive a share of the profits afterwards.

So even though she's currently idle in Valen, no explorer in the entire Valen region earns as much as she does!

The Sky Well doesn't assign her any missions in worlds of level 16 or higher, and she has no way to enter higher-level worlds, so she can only stay idle, right?

At first, Moran wasn't used to having so much free time, but she got used to it and is now enjoying the leisurely time.

After hearing how much magic she earned in a day, Shana was no longer worried.

Every time she went to another world, she carefully carried out her missions, and the money she earned on each trip was less than a fraction of what her daughter earned in a single day!
With so much income every day, she became too lazy to go to the Sky Well anymore and just did whatever she wanted.

“Your grandmother Della has also returned to the wilderness. She lives in Sunset Forest, not far from the Rose Fields. When you go to stay there, you can visit her if you have time.”

"Grandma Della is back?" Moran's eyes lit up.

"Yes! When I was little, I thought she became Clara's godmother to make a living. Later, I thought she did it to gain titles and power. It wasn't until the Witch Tree appeared that I realized she simply loved raising children!"

Shana said with great emotion, "When you go this time, you should be able to see her eighth child, Little Leila!"

"The eighth one?" Moran exclaimed in surprise. "I remember when I came back last time, Grandma Della was still exploring the Well of Heaven!"

"Yes! After the appearance of the Witch Tree, there is no longer a limit to the number of baby witches that everyone can conceive, but cultivating the Witch Tree consumes a lot of magical power."

In order to have more magical power to nurture the Witch Tree, your grandmother Della decided to leave the Duchy of Lance and no longer be the godmother of the children of the Clara family, so as to focus on improving her strength.

With the resources from the card magic, she quickly broke through to the peak level, went to the Sky Well, and from then on, there was no stopping her! (End of Chapter)
