Chapter 149 Uncle Xu
The Xu family's old house wasn't far, only a five-minute drive away. Xu Shisan drove the car, while Gu Xingzhao's car remained on the antique street.

Sitting in Xu Shisan's car, Gu Xingzhao felt comfortable everywhere. The space was great, and more importantly, the car had a kind of understated luxury that made him feel elevated. No wonder Xu Shisan was so rich but always drove this car.

She suddenly had a strong urge to replace her 400,000 yuan car, even though she had only bought it recently.

Gu Xingzhao: "What brand is your car?"

Xu Shisan smiled, “Red Flag State Gift.”

Red Flag as a State Gift?

Gu Xingzhao pursed her lips. It was a very unfamiliar name. She had done a lot of research before buying a car, but she had never heard of this brand.
She immediately took out her phone, opened her browser, and searched for the price. The price that caught her eye made her gasp, and she silently exited the browser.

Suddenly I realized that someone like me who doesn't have much money should be more practical. That car worth 400,000 yuan is already pretty good and can be driven for more than ten years, so there's no need to replace it.

Just then, Xu Shisan, who was standing next to him, suddenly asked, "You like this car?"

Gu Xingzhao rarely asked me anything, so if he did ask, it must mean he was interested.

Gu Xingzhao gave an awkward smile, "It's alright."

The main problem is that I don't have much money in my pocket, so I can't bring myself to like it.

Xu Shisan: "If you don't mind if it's a used car, I'll give you this one. I'm thinking of getting a new car soon, it's getting boring to always drive the same one."

Gu Xingzhao remained silent: "No, I was just asking casually."

If she hadn't just looked up the price, she might have actually accepted it.

Let alone a second-hand one, even a third-hand one, she really couldn't afford to drive it.

Why does Xu Shisan act like a money-giving boy?
The car soon arrived at the Xu family's old house, with its blue bricks and gray tiles, brackets and flying eaves. Xu Shisan led Gu Xingzhao along the path paved with bluestone slabs.

Looking along the way, the doors and windows are all decorated with classic wood carvings. Walking along the stone path, you can see that the courtyard is exquisitely and elegantly decorated, with a pool of clear water flowing gently. It has an antique charm and is quite in line with the style of the business that the Xu family is doing.

Gu Xingzhao sincerely exclaimed, "Your house is quite beautiful."

Xu Shisan laughed, "When my grandfather was alive, the house wasn't like this. It was renovated a few years ago. If you had seen what it looked like before, you definitely wouldn't be praising it like this."

Gu Xingzhao immediately became curious, "You did the renovation?"

Xu Shisan: No, I don't usually go back to the old house. Only my uncle lives here. He renovated it.

Gu Xingzhao thought to himself, Xu Shisan's uncle has quite good taste. He seems to be a very steady person, at least he wouldn't wear a floral shirt.

She followed Xu Shisan through the courtyard and vaguely heard the clear tinkling sound. When they reached a winding corridor and saw the wind chimes hanging there, she suddenly realized what was going on.

Just then, she saw a straight figure walk past in the distance and enter an attic. The person was wearing a black Zhongshan suit.
Gu Xingzhao recognized the fleeting profile. "Who was that person in black just now?"

Xu Shisan: "He's my uncle, don't worry about him."

As he spoke, he scanned the electronic lock on the door, verified his fingerprint, and pushed the door open, giving a welcoming look. "This is my family's treasure vault."

Following him into the treasure pavilion, Gu Xingzhao was immediately struck by the dazzling array of antiques, numbering at least several hundred. He instantly forgot all about the Xu family's young uncle he had just encountered. The treasure pavilion was vast, and in the central display case was the same game console-like device that Xu Shisan had shown Gu Xingzhao earlier.

The more Gu Xingzhao looked at it, the more he felt that this was the game console he had given to Lu Xingyao back then, and his feelings were a little complicated.

Xu Shisan was still talking to her from the side, "I don't see any collectible value in this thing, but as far back as I can remember, this thing has always been placed in this display case in the middle, and there's no record of its origin."

As he spoke, he leaned against the display case. "I actually looked up a lot of information, but none of it matched up, so I seriously suspect that this is just an old game console, maybe left behind by some modern person who traveled back in time!"

Gu Xingzhao felt inexplicably guilty. "It's probably just a coincidence. How could it be time travel? It's not a novel or TV series."

Xu Shisan smiled, glanced at the time. It was still early, only eleven o'clock. He should leave Gu Xingzhao until noon so that he could naturally invite her to lunch.

"I'll go get some drinks. You can look at this for a while."

"it is good."

Hearing the footsteps hurrying away, Gu Xingzhao walked to the display case next to him. It contained many items, and like the game console from before, none of them had any labels indicating their origin. Several of the items looked very similar to the things he was currently sending to the Lu family, especially this cane, which felt increasingly familiar the more he looked at it.

Another slow footstep sounded behind them, and Gu Xingzhao asked, "Xu Shisan, don't you think this thing looks like a cane?"

The voice that answered her was not Xu Shisan's, but another voice that sounded both unfamiliar and somewhat familiar.

"It's very similar."

Gu Xingzhao was stunned for a moment, then quickly turned around to look. The man in the black Zhongshan suit was the same man he had just seen outside, Xu Shisan's uncle.

Her gaze moved upwards, landing on the man's face, and she froze on the spot.
The man had a high, straight nose, and his fair skin made his thin lips appear slightly red, with clearly defined lip lines. His deep eyes looked like they were filled with snow water, seemingly gentle, yet with a detached and indifferent air. His jet-black hair was meticulously combed, revealing a rigorous demeanor.

While Gu Xingzhao was still in a daze, the man had already walked up to her and stopped, seemingly blending into the quiet and elegant environment around him.

His gaze swept around the room, finally landing on Gu Xingzhao, and he asked in a low voice, "Who are you?"

Gu Xingzhao snapped back to reality, looking at the man before him with his rosy lips, white teeth, and excessively handsome features. He unconsciously tensed up, swallowing hard. "I..."

"Uncle!" Xu Shisan's loud voice immediately drew their attention.

He carried two bottles of drinks and walked quickly toward Gu Xingzhao, shoving the drinks into Gu Xingzhao's hands. Standing aside, he introduced the man in the Zhongshan suit, "Uncle, this is my girlfriend. She's interested in antiques, so I brought her in to take a look."

The man paused slightly, then nodded. "Mm."

Xu Shisan smiled and introduced Gu Xingzhao, "Ah Zhao, this is my uncle. You can call him that just like me."

Gu Xingzhao chuckled dryly twice, and after a long pause, under the gaze of the two men, he said awkwardly, "Hello."

Not to mention that she wasn't Xu Shisan's girlfriend and couldn't shout along with him.

Most importantly, she simply couldn't bring herself to call this man "uncle" no matter what.

Because this young uncle of the Xu family has the exact same face as Lu Xingyao, who always talks about his ancestors.
