Chapter 876: The Third Level of Buddhahood

"An unreachable future?"

Chu Tai muttered something in a low voice, looked at Maitreya and said, "Are you interested in doing an experiment with me?"

"What experiment?"

Miroku looked at Chu Tai, with some doubt in his eyes.

“An experiment to subvert destiny, making a future that was never supposed to come come true.”

"Impossible, destiny is..."

Before Maitreya finished speaking, Chu Tai had already invited the power of the three Dao Fruit systems, namely, the Great Siming, the Lesser Siming, and Xiang Jun and Xiang Furen, from the Donghuang Bell.

The nearly perfect [Qinghua of Pardon (Emperor Fengdu)] and [Si Shi (Si Ming)], as well as the initially formed [Resurrection (Shao Siming)], the concept of the universe of life and death constructed by the three, combined with Chu Tai's destiny, made Maitreya see an extremely terrifying possibility.

Chu Tai really has the potential to overturn the destiny of the current time period.

Maitreya's eyes flickered, and after thinking for a long time, he gritted his teeth and nodded, "Okay, but before that, I hope to find someone first."

"Fighting Buddha Sun Wukong."

Chu Tai mentioned a name, and Maitreya nodded and said, "It is this monkey head. He was originally a sacred being cultivated by me, Taishang Laojun and Bodhi Patriarch. He can resist the influence of turbid air to a certain extent. In this catastrophe, it seems that because of your arrival, he has gained a lot of good fortune and occupied a little bit of the destiny of Buddhism."

"If nothing unexpected happens, Lingshan will use this catastrophe to seize this part of destiny and occupy part of the monkey's spiritual charm at the last moment. Now that we are planning to take action, we must not leave this thing to him."

Chu Tai understood the meaning of Maitreya's words.

"What tricks did Tathagata have left for Fighting Buddha? Is his current process of returning a process of him breaking free from his restraints? So it is inevitable that he will take back his six roots one by one?"

"Yes."

Miroku nodded again.

"In that case, I will ignore your calculations for now. I will go to Lingshan to discuss the location of the Buddha with Tathagata. You'd better deal with it quickly."

Hearing this, Maitreya was stunned for a moment, looked towards the direction of the Heavenly Palace and said: "Shouldn't we go find the Emperor of Heaven first? I will cast a spell now, and it will take about half a day to reawaken Zhenwu. He and you can go to the Heavenly Palace together to suppress the Eastern Heaven's destiny, and then bring the Eastern Heaven's transformation to suppress the Western Heaven. Isn't it safer?"

"The status of the Heavenly Emperor means that he cannot avoid fighting. Even if he knows he will lose, he must fight me once. But the Buddha in Lingshan is different. If he knew that the Heavenly Emperor had failed, he would probably enter Nirvana immediately, and there would not be much left of the Buddhist Dharma and treasures."

After saying this, Chu Tai's figure disappeared in front of Maitreya.

The main body in Pansiling took the Pleiades star official, Chang Xuan, Xie Ling and Fu Ying who had regained their human form and walked towards Lingshan step by step.

During this period, the heavenly soldiers and generals sent from the Heavenly Palace, as well as the monk soldiers of the Ming King sent from Lingshan, were also sealed together with the white crane by the Qiankuntu thrown out by Chu Tai.

Therefore, the Buddha Tathagata already had a sense of it before Chu Tai stepped into Lingshan.

He summoned all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats and said, "The destiny is tilted, and bad luck is coming. This is a foregone conclusion. It is beyond our magical power to counter it. You must not act rashly."

Hearing this, the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats below changed color. Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva, who was sitting next to Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, frowned and wanted to speak, but was pulled back by Avalokitesvara.

Mahasthamaprapta was surprised, turned around and looked at Guanyin, and heard her say: "The Buddha has said that this is a fixed number, let us wait and see what happens, and don't act rashly. Let's just wait and see the cause and effect." "What a good Guanyin, what a good one who waits and sees the cause and effect. Bodhisattva, I haven't seen you for a long time."

Chu Tai walked forward step by step, and dark turbid air continued to emerge from the cracks in the pure land like black spring water.

The seven treasures lost their luster, the golden lotus withered, the bodhi tree withered, the colored glaze shattered, and the palm leaf turned to ashes...

Before long, the sacred mountain behind Chu Tai had transformed into a place close to the underworld. Countless dark, terrifying, corrupt, and sinful consciousnesses spread outward, affecting the masters present, shaking their golden lotus thrones, and polluting their golden bodies of Buddha.

"The time has come. Do you want to leave by yourself, or should I send you off?"

As he spoke, the turbid air spread further and had already spread throughout all parts of Lingshan Buddhist Kingdom, blocking the spiritual energy of each place and cutting off the possibility for Tathagata to take away the spiritual charm of Buddhism from this place.

Knowing that he could not defeat Chu Tai for the time being, Tathagata clasped his hands together and said: "Although you have comprehended the calamity, you are not blessed by heaven. You will never understand that when fate changes, evil will eventually prevail over good. Just like I cannot defy fate, when that day comes, you will also be unable to resist."

"Evil cannot defeat good?"

Upon hearing this, Chu Tai laughed out loud. Turbid air surged behind him, and a phantom emerged and gradually condensed.

Seeing this, Tathagata Buddha did not say much, but just clasped his hands together and chanted silently. Circles of pure Buddha light spread behind his head, and the will of purity, peace, light, compassion and wisdom rotated outward.

Ten kinds of light clouds, namely, great perfection, great compassion, great wisdom, great prajna, great samadhi, great auspiciousness, great fortune, great merit, great refuge, and great praise, emerged one by one, carrying the phantoms of hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddha lands, stacked up and collapsed downwards to form a pagoda, covering the phantom behind Chu Tai before it took shape.

Chu Tai could see clearly that the big monk wanted to test him before leaving.

He sneered: "That's all you've got. Don't worry, you won't be able to come back this time!"

After saying this, a shadow condensed into a purple-black lotus that slowly blossomed. On top of it sat a statue with nine heads and twenty-six faces, revealing negative emotions such as anger, jealousy, bloodthirstiness, hatred, and coldness.

The twenty-four arms wield leather wooden fish, long ropes, bone vajra, hatchet, human head rosary, octagonal bone wheel and other evil objects, showing principles of chaos, hideousness, terror, destruction, decadence, madness and so on.

As soon as these Dharma images appeared, all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats on Mount Lingshan suddenly shook, and there were faint signs that they were about to fall from their Buddhahood.

The four people who followed were also surprised. The Demon-Subduing Pestle, the Exquisite Pagoda and the Golden Ruyi all burst into precious light, and the threefold Buddhahood of [Precepts], [Concentration] and [Wisdom] were revealed, leaving Avalokitesvara and other Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Arhats stunned.

So the devil's way is the opposite, and the Buddhist way is also the opposite?

Before the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Arhats could figure it out, Chu Tai raised his hand and obtained three Buddhist treasures. At the same time, the Nine-Rank Golden Lotus on which Tathagata Buddha was originally sitting, as well as many Buddhist treasures treasured in Lingshan were taken out one by one.

Then a burst of bell sounds echoed all around, and the triple Buddha fruit fell from the darkness. With many Buddhist treasures as the foundation, it suppressed all the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats one by one.

Then, he absorbed the attainments and insights of the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Arhats, and offered them as offerings for the threefold fruit of the Tao.

The past Buddhist systems of [compassion], [purity], [asceticism], [cessation], [meditation] and [subduing demons] flowed in the rosy clouds one by one, with the Blue Lotus Treasure Color Flag as the foundation, slowly ascending to the third level of the Tao Fruit [wheel]. When the Tao Fruit manifested, the six supernatural powers rotated, stirring up the foundations of all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Arhats.

Now the Buddhist system of [seeking fate], [good deeds], [concentration], [awakening of consciousness], [six dusts] and [relics] is advanced layer by layer, with the nine-grade golden lotus as the foundation, condensing the three-grade Tao fruit [golden body], gathering sins and causes and effects, and suppressing the golden bodies of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Arhats.

The future Buddha system [Shami], [Bhikkhu], [Warrior Monk], [Zen Master], [Great Virtue] and [Venerable] will gather on the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree, achieve the third level of Taoism [Arhat], master Prajna and cause and effect, and seal the fruit positions of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Arhats.
