Chapter 590: True Lord Fights Tathagata

Chapter 590: True Lord Fights Tathagata

Namo means to take refuge and to pay homage.

As the Lotus Mother chanted the mantra of refuge, swastikas stacked up between her brows, emitting infinite white light. This light was very pure and inclusive, embracing everything yet not allowing anything else to enter; it contained myriad colors yet no mixed colors, perfectly combining unity and contradiction.

White light floats, and the shadows of Buddha, Bodhisattva, Arhat and Vajra appear.

“I bow to all the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times. May the three evil realms rest in peace, the country be prosperous and the people be safe. May all sentient beings with wrong views return to the right path. May all develop bodhi minds and make countless wishes… Namo Shakyamuni Buddha, Namo Vajra Indestructible Buddha, Namo Precious Light Buddha, Namo Dragon King Buddha… Namo Manjusri Bodhisattva, Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, Namo Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva…”

As you praise the void, every time you recite the Buddha's name, a Buddha will appear and take shape; every time you convert to a Bodhisattva, a Bodhisattva's Dharma image will take shape.

In the blink of an eye, the Lotus Mother with ten thousand petals and thousand stamens turned into the Pure Land of Buddhism. Above the thousand lotuses and thousand hands, countless images of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Arhats, and Vajra appeared, one circle after another, standing outside the heaven and earth.

And in the pure white light formed by the intersection of hundreds of billions of Buddha lights, another phantom of Buddha emerged.

“Is this the Tathagata Buddha?”

Chu Tai immediately knew the other party's origins, or rather, from the moment he saw the other party, he felt the boundless and profound truth of Buddhism.

The most terrifying thing is that the transmission of this information is indiscriminate and unobstructed. As long as you see the Buddha, you can get all the true meaning of Buddhism that he carries at the moment.

The three Dao-fruit fragments of [Compassion], [Seeking Fate] and [Shami] were jumping wildly, and the many Dao-fruit fragments starting from these three Dao-fruit fragments were also blooming with many brilliances.

[Compassion] [Purity] [Austerity] [Cessation] will eventually sublimate into the fifth level of the Dao Fruit fragment [meditation].

[Seeking fate] [Good deeds] [Concentration] [Awakening of consciousness] also sublimate the five-grade Dao fruit fragments [Six Dusts]

After the [Shami], [Bhikkhu], [Warrior Monk], [Zen Master] and [Great Virtue] became clear one by one, the fragments of the Four Stages of the Path Fruit were gradually condensing into the [Venerable One].

However, Chu Tai discovered that as the fragments of the Dao Fruit of the [Venerable] gradually took shape, there seemed to be an additional phantom similar to his own on the Thousand Lotuses and Thousand Hands manifested by the Ten Thousand-Leafed and Thousand-Petaled Lotus Mother.

With a silent prayer in his heart, the Donghuang Bell shook gently, increasing its own pressure and cutting off contact with the outside world. The shadow of the Venerable on the lotus in his arm then stopped, no longer perfect, and there were faint signs of regression.

The Buddha's light gathered around and condensed it again, but the aura and appearance gradually became different from Chu Tai.

At the same time, Shao Siming raised his hand and dropped a ray of light, blocking the gazes of Chidi and Rizhao, the disciples beside Master Tianque.

"This light is not the Buddha's light, you should not look at it too much."

Before Chidi and Rizhao understood what was happening, Buddha's light and flames had already appeared around Master Tianque, burning on his body and manifesting a lapis lazuli golden body.

But what was surprising was that a faint white light appeared inside the master's golden body, which should have been transparent and clear.

Shao Siming felt something in his heart, and when he looked at the Thousand Hands and Thousand Lotuses, he saw the shadow of a venerable figure similar to Master Tianque.

Master Tianque, who also realized this, made a prompt decision and clasped his hands together.

It was only then that Shao Siming discovered that the master's broken palm had been repaired, but on the new fingers, Buddhist patterns had condensed, making them more like Buddhist treasures than fingers.

"Namo Amitabha!"

As the Buddha's name sounded, a glazed fire rose from Tianque's body, revealing twelve rays of light, forcing the white light onto his newly born fingers bit by bit, slowly burning them, turning them into a relic in his hand. At the same time, flames also emerged from Tianque's repaired eye and ear, burning them, and Chidi and Rizhao beside him lowered their heads to chant sutras.

Carefully touching the relic, Tianque exclaimed: "What a great Tathagata Buddha, what a great Vairocana Buddha. Such Buddhist teachings are almost like magic."

"Master, do you think that what this Buddha did is still the Dharma?"

Shao Siming was stunned for a moment and looked at Master Tianque with surprise.

Master Tianque nodded and said with emotion: "Although it sounds a bit ridiculous, most of the Buddha's teachings are orthodox Buddhism. The Buddha, who has practiced these teachings to a very high level, has violated the true meaning of Buddhism. It's like a Buddha demon."

Speaking of this, Master Tianque couldn't help but sigh.

Upon hearing this, Chidi and Rizhao couldn't help but say a few words of comfort, but Shao Siming was more curious about another thing.

She pointed at the increasingly pure white Buddha light below, and the gradually taking shape of the Tathagata Buddha's image inside, and said, "What should I do? If such a big shot takes action, I don't have the ability to deal with it. Buddhism has a way to check and balance it."

"Don't pay any attention to it. This is our Eastern Extreme Chenguang Great Heaven domain. The supreme cultivators of the Great Heaven who show their power will naturally be punished by the True Lords of the Great Heaven."

After Master Tianque finished speaking, a ray of sword light jumped out from the void.

The sword light was mighty, like an inverted river in the sky, cutting through the void and falling directly onto the Buddha's light.

"Namo Tathagata Buddha!"

The white light Buddha, which had not yet been fully formed, put his hands together and slapped out with one palm. Then, boundless Buddha light in the void responded. The Buddha light was neither dirty nor clean, but quiet and pure. Wherever it passed, all matter, energy, spirit, and even the laws of Tao were briefly trapped in a state of quiet and emptiness.

Although the falling sword light was sharp and had the ability to cut through everything, it still briefly became illusory under the Buddha's light, and the boundless killing contained within it gradually subsided.

But the sword light was not an ordinary magical power after all. With a slight jump, it automatically changed.

The infinite sword lights separated, each changing, pushing the silent world to become active again, breaking the state of silence and emptiness.

The Buddha flipped his palm, and layers of Buddha's light overlapped. Twenty rounds of light as bright as the sun fell down, directly suppressing the person with force and breaking the change.

Tianque watched carefully with his one eye wide open, while Chutai used the two incarnations of Shao Siming and Shan Gui to watch carefully from two different angles.

However, the level of skill of the two parties in the fight has reached an incredible level.

To ordinary people, every attack by both sides seemed simple, without much changes. To fourth-grade cultivators like Chu Tai and Tian Que, it seemed that the attacks by both sides were formless and invisible, yet contained all things, extremely mysterious and difficult to comprehend.

Even Chu Tai could only rely on the power of the Donghuang Bell to slightly feel that during the fight between the two sides, the laws of the Heavenly Dao had been modified many times, and even the area where they were located had collapsed several times.

It’s just that these collapses either re-attach before dispersing and do not completely disperse; or all changes are cut off at the moment of distorting the essence and return to the original state.

The feeling of being distorted and changed several times in a very short period of time was too much for Chu Tai to handle.

However, it was precisely through the impact of this rapid change in a short period of time that Chu Tai gained a deeper understanding of [One].
