Chapter 379: The Battle between the Lord and Buddha
Chapter 379: The Battle between the Lord and Buddha
"Tianque, do you really think that I won't dare to touch you just because the Holy Buddha cares about you?"
The Dharma image that looked like Buddha, king of heaven, and god lowered its head, and the large and small circles around it immediately swallowed up the essence of the sun for their own use. When they exerted all their strength, the wind and clouds on the top of the snow-capped mountain changed color and became dark, as if the end of the world had come.
"Gandhara, I'm right here, you can just do it, but can you hurt me?"
Master Tianque stood in the void, with a faint Buddha's light all over his body. It was not strong, but it was as clear and bright as glass. It was a power transformed from the pure compassion of Buddhism, and it was also the embodiment of Tianque's cultivation for several lifetimes.
Therefore, although the light around Tianque is not as powerful as Gandhara's Dharma image, he has a majestic and transcendent power. No matter how the surrounding Buddha light rings rotate, they cannot shake the faint Buddha light.
Under this Buddha's light, Chu Tai could feel the power of the former Lotus Mother Dharma image in Shao Siming's body trembling, being angry, and weeping.
Why didn't this Buddha's light fall back then? Why didn't I cultivate this Buddha's light? Why couldn't I hold on a little longer...
'If I had persisted a little longer, would the scene now be different?'
In the Lotus Mother's Dharma image, in the depths of the Dharma meaning of [Nanwu Guanyin], the root of its birth and the core of its gestation were slightly shaken.
But the Dharma spirit has been passed on to Chu Tai after all. The core inside has no self-awareness, and the previous emotional manifestations are just some external manifestations of the Dharma core.
Chu Tai suppressed his thoughts as soon as he thought about it. He used Shao Siming's Eye to carefully observe the confrontation between the two sides.
As a practitioner of the Buddha-Devil lineage, Gandhara's attainment of the Tao has a certain connection with the Buddha-Devil Tao, the Dharma-Light and the Six Brahma Tao.
According to the records of the Jinhua Sect, the method of practicing the Buddhist magic meridians is similar to orthodox Buddhism, but it prefers to practice by mobilizing the power of incense and vows, so it is easier to obtain supernatural powers, but also easier to fall into paranoia.
In particular, many methods of the Buddhist and demonic sects like to take shortcuts. They clearly need offerings from believers, but they deceive them and promise them many benefits. For example, offerings to the Buddhas can eliminate all sins. No matter how many sins they have committed in their lifetime, as long as they believe devoutly, they can be reborn in paradise, etc.
However, the monks of the Buddhist and Demonic lineages have always been unwilling to implement it. They even want to refine the souls of all living beings in the name of salvation after their death. Over time, they have accumulated endless resentment and karma.
But what’s the use of accumulating all that resentment and karma?
To put it bluntly, the owners of resentment and karma cannot influence the Buddhist and demonic traditions when they are alive, and it is even less likely that they can play a role after they die.
Under normal circumstances, what works is mostly through the accumulation of quantity, which affects the quality and eventually explodes.
Standing behind the Buddha and Demon lineage is one of the strongest cultivators in the world today, and also the number one Buddhist in the world. With such high status and profound magical powers that even if he destroys the world, he can still condense the fruit of destruction and will not be killed by the backlash of karma. How could he be afraid of these things?
As luck would have it, when the Junmo Dao rose to power, in order to demonstrate its own supernatural powers, it also wanted to retaliate against the suppression of the Buddha and Demon in his early years.
Junmo set his eyes on Buddha Demon's Dao Fruit. He directly detonated the many resentments and karmas accumulated by Buddha Demon, causing their "creditors" accumulated from generation to generation to show up one after another.
Back then, this move by the Sovereign Demon almost knocked the Buddha Demon down from his position. After all, the Buddha Demon was not afraid of karma and resentment because his status was enough to suppress them, but when the Sovereign Demon intervened, this gap was erased. In addition, the Sovereign Demon's positive containment in the early stage and the subsequent attack on the Buddha Demon naturally dealt a heavy blow to him.
It's a pity that the Buddha and the demon were only severely injured back then, and their Tao fruits were not shattered, nor did they die. Instead, they saw the flaws in their own Tao fruits, and after years of hard training, their cultivation showed signs of improvement. The three Bodhisattvas of Buddhism and Taoism who remained in the world could only watch over him day and night to prevent him from causing any more trouble.
At this moment, the power of Gandhara and the previous Tathagata's Dharma image was obviously the system of the Buddha and the devil before optimizing their own Tao fruit. This was why Chu Tai cast a spell to draw out the karma and detonate the foundation.
"Since this is an early Buddhist and demonic method, can I...?"
Chu Tai's mind moved, and the dragon-tiger hook flew out again, hooking towards a place behind Gandhara.
This celestial being obviously did not expect that Chu Tai would dare to intervene when the two celestial beings were fighting. His counterattack slowed down, and Master Tianque seized the opportunity and released a little golden Buddha light.
The Buddha's light was only the size of a grain of rice at first. After it left the hand, it continued to expand in the void, illuminating the entire universe. In the blink of an eye, it turned into a rising sun.
Countless celestial beings, dragons, asuras, yakshas, garudas, gandharvas, kinnaras and mahoragas, eight groups of good gods emerged in it, flying back and forth, spreading the Buddha's light and transforming it into an even larger curtain of light that covered all directions.
Vairocana Tathagata, Akshobhya Tathagata, Ratnasambhava Tathagata, Amitabha Tathagata, Amoghasiddhi Tathagata, and more than 30 phantoms of Bodhisattvas beside Gandhara were pulled by the Buddha's light and could not move, and even the slowly rotating circle of Buddha's light came to a standstill.
"Crack!"
The Dharma meaning of [Nanwu Guanyin] was fully manifested. Tianque and Gandhara both had their eyes wide open, but Tianque then put his hands together, with a look of sorrow on his face, and silently recited scriptures, as if he was praying for something.
Gandhara first showed a hint of joy, and then anger. He looked at a crack appearing on the perfectly rotating circle behind him, and bursts of black air emerged from the gap. The aura of ignorance, deception, pain, and despair emerged, and then twisted together, turning into hideousness and resentment.
The black gas spread, quickly corroding the Buddha's light ring, turning the small worlds inside into a sea of purgatory fire. Gandhara's face turned pale. He stretched out his hands, with his right hand facing up and his left hand facing down, the backs of his hands facing each other, the little fingers hooked together, and the index fingers facing away and standing upright, making the mudra of Gandhara.
"Om Subha Ni Subha Hum..."
As the mantra came out of Gandhara's mouth, boundless karmic fire burned all over the body of Akshobhya Tathagata, one of the five Buddhas around him. Then a three-faced, eight-armed Vajra King with red hair and fangs, a blue body, and wearing a tiger skin skirt appeared. The eight arms of this Dharma King held six magical instruments: a three-pronged bell, an arrow, a sword, a three-pronged halberd, a bow and a rope. His free hands also formed the mudra of the Vajra King of the Three Ages.
As soon as he appeared, he immediately stepped on the black air, making it transform into the form of the devil and temporarily suppressing the boundless karma and resentment accumulated in it.
But how could Master Tianque miss this opportunity? He stretched out his hand, and the Buddha's light fell, knocking Gandhara away. Then he scooped up the boundless black air, shook his long sleeves, and covered it steadily.
When Chu Tai looked over, he was surprised to find that the monk's robe on Master Tianque was not just clothes, but the embodiment of his endless prayers and good deeds.
It is the gratitude and blessing of countless sentient beings to Master Tianque, and it is also a manifestation of Tianque's own thoughts spreading outward.
