Chapter 200: Three Lotus Method
Unlike Chu Tai, who relied on the fragments of the Dao fruit [Shami], [Bhikkhu] and [Warrior Monk] to gain many Buddhist insights, and used them as the foundation to support the Lotus Mother Dharma, the "Heart Sutra of Mahabrahma and Thunder Sound" and "The Pure Land Theory of Wonderful Flowers and Incense" practiced by the Pure Light Goddess are two volumes of superior Buddhist methods. The former spreads the Dharma through sound, and the latter offers incense to the Buddha.
The image of Avalokitesvara that was summoned by the Pure Light Goddess earlier was the phantom that was condensed when she offered incense to Avalokitesvara and received the Buddha's favor.
There are many similar phantom Pure Light Goddesses. Although they are not very useful if taken alone, the blessings of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas make it much easier for them to deal with many things.
But now, the phantom of Guanyin was shattered, and the image of Guanyin that she condensed disappeared.
This means that the Guanyin image she condensed was defeated by the Lotus Mother image, and the absorption of part of the phantom's power from the Lotus Mother image also shows that the Lotus Mother was born from Guanyin.
Through this connection, the Goddess of Pure Light saw part of the essence of the Lotus Mother.
He was a monk who practiced the Guanyin method with great concentration, and his sect had received the blessings of Guanyin Bodhisattva more than once in the past.
But something seemed to happen later, and the power of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva instead affected this practitioner, forcing him to fall into heterodoxy and use it to fight against Buddhism.
But this confrontation itself seemed to fit in with certain concepts of Buddhism, allowing him to understand a little bit of the changes in the cycle of life and death and break out of the original framework of the Guanyin method.
The bias, distortion and confusion in it are hard for the Pure Light Goddess to bear, but she has to admit that it contains the compassion and the essence of the highest Buddhism.
This is also the reason why the Goddess of Pure Light exclaimed, "What kind of Buddhism is this?" It is true that every aspect of the Lotus Mother's Dharma is completely inconsistent with what she had learned in the past, but if you look deeply into its meaning, you can find traces of Mahayana Buddhism everywhere.
Thinking of this, the Pure Light Goddess shook her head and said, "If I hadn't known your origins, Fellow Daoist Taining, and hadn't witnessed this extraordinary Dharma with my own eyes, I would have doubted whether you had also practiced the Buddhist teachings of the Brahma Pure Red Lotus or White Lotus lineage."
"Are there any similarities between these two veins and my Lotus Mother Dharma Image?"
Chu Tai was a little concerned. He had an agreement with the Lotus Mother with Ten Thousand Leaves and Thousand Stamens, so he was naturally curious about the Buddhist teachings related to it.
“The two can only be said to be similar in appearance and have similar compassion within, but in reality they are two completely different Buddhist teachings.”
"The Brahma Red Lotus lineage believes that the three realms are a burning house and the human world is a sea of suffering. Only by entering into nirvana through the red lotus karmic fire and transcending the mundane world can one escape from suffering and enjoy bliss. This is great compassion and great good fortune."
"The White Lotus lineage likes to learn Tantric Joy Zen, emulating the Golden Clavicle Bodhisattva, with the non-duality of form and emptiness as the core, guiding believers to see through the appearances of all things, realize the emptiness of their own nature, and thus transcend their attachment to material phenomena and their misunderstanding of emptiness."
When she said this, the expression of the Goddess of Pure Light was very strange, because in her view, there was no problem with the idea of this method, the problem lay in the way of handling the two veins of Brahma Red Lotus and White Lotus, as well as the final performance.
From the description of the Goddess of Pure Light, Chu Tai understood why she had said before that the monks of the Brahma Jing lineage developed magic from Buddhism.
The Fanjing Red Lotus lineage likes to persuade with the Red Lotus illusion first.
No, use the Red Lotus Karma Fire to persuade him again.
If that is not enough, the Brahma Red Lotus lineage will personally help the "believers" to achieve liberation and "rebirth" in the Pure Land of Bliss.
Don't give anyone a chance to refuse at all.
The Brahma White Lotus lineage likes to advise with the wonderful appearance of heavenly beings, discarding the superficial appearance in bliss, revealing the physical appearance, and teaching people to see through the color of the body.
If that doesn't work, then peel off the flesh and reveal the white bones, so that people can understand that nothing is permanent. If that still doesn't work, then peel off the white bones and reveal the empty form.
During this process, if the other party is still unable to realize Buddhism, he will be assimilated by the emptiness practiced by the Brahma White Lotus lineage.
On the contrary, if the other party understands the empty aspect, then the cultivator of the Brahma White Lotus lineage is likely to become the other party's consort.
What matters is that either you fulfill my wish or I fulfill your wish.
At this point, the Pure Light Goddess said helplessly: "Because of the practice of the Brahma Pure White Lotus lineage, Buddhist monks like us who practice both the Goddess and the Godman have become infamous."
Hearing this, Chu Tai, who knew two-thirds of the inheritance of Fanjing Mountain, suddenly became curious about what the Fanjing Qinglian lineage was about.
"That lineage..."
The Goddess of Pure Light was silent for a long time, and finally shook her head and said, "Their ideas are mostly circulated internally, and I am not very clear about the core essence. However, according to several brothers who have come into contact with them, among the three lotus lineages of Brahma and Pure Land, the Red Lotus seems to be the most radical, but in fact, the Blue Lotus is the most deeply possessed by the devil."
Seeing that the Goddess of Pure Light did not want to say more about the Qinglian lineage, Chu Tai did not continue to embarrass himself.
He then turned to discuss some spiritual practice concepts with the Goddess of Pure Light.
One of them is a Buddhist practitioner with orthodox Buddhist heritage and has achieved the appearance of a celestial maiden; the other is a person who is blessed with fragments of the Tao fruit and is familiar with many Buddhist scriptures.
The communication was quite harmonious and both sides gained a lot.
During this period, Chu Tai also learned about the foundation for the Pure Light Goddess to enter the fifth level - the meaning of the [Pure Light] Dharma.
The meaning of this Dharma is very interesting, and it corresponds exactly with her practice of "The Heart Sutra of Great Brahma and Thunder Sound" and "The Pure Land Theory of Wonderful Flowers and Incense", as well as the condensation of pure lapis lazuli fragrance, sound and wonderful light qi, constructing a complete structure of sound, color and fragrance. Combined with her wonderful appearance as a celestial maiden, it can be said to be a first-class Buddhist preaching tool.
But the problems of this lineage are also very obvious. Chu Tai can see that those who practice the Pure Light Goddess lineage are very likely to fall into the obsession with color and appearance. It seems that they should also have some secret techniques similar to the practice methods of the Brahma Pure White Lotus lineage.
It's just that the lineage of the Pure Light Goddess is relatively normal. They know that these things are ways to save themselves, and they don't use them to save others like the lineage of the Brahma Pure White Lotus does.
'Wait, the method used to save yourself is used to save others?'
Chu Tai felt that he seemed to have discovered the problem with the Mother of Ten Thousand Leaves and Thousand Stamens Lotus. Because the basic principles of the alien world had changed, her power of the Tao Fruit was manifested, causing changes in the heaven and earth. Is it possible that the creatures inside the heaven and earth were unable to withstand the influence of her method of self-cultivation, or the method of saving herself?
In the same way, in that vast universe, the influence of the immortals' Dao fruits spreading from the source downwards, is this also a mistaken manifestation of a method of saving oneself turning into a method of saving others?
Thinking of this, Chu Tai understood and asked the Pure Light Goddess for more information about the Buddhas, especially her understanding of the two great Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Guessing vaguely what Chu Tai wanted to ask, the Pure Light Goddess whispered, "As far as I know, there should be projections of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in that Immortal Manifestation Heaven, but those projections should have problems now."
Hearing this, Chu Tai's eyes lit up and he asked, "What's the problem? Are you referring to the Dao Fruit fragments?"
