The Secret Code of Monsters.

Chapter 513: Bodaili and Bodaipon

Chapter 513: Bodaili and Bodaipon

As the Mudball Circus had been increasing the number of performances recently, it was already getting dark when Roland found Miss Bodaili in the beer area.

They recognized Roland almost immediately, calling him "Mr. Golden Eyes" and scattering beer foam everywhere.

The woman was almost six feet tall and wore a light pink dress underneath a gray cotton jacket with holes in it.

She has two heads, one with brown hair tied up, and the other with curled hair hanging on her shoulders.

Their faces are fat or swollen.

His calves were thick, his feet were larger than those of the average man, and there was a tuft of hair on the joint of his big toe.

Her tent was the farthest from the main tent. Inside it was a wide bamboo basket for clothes, a dart board, and two decks of playing cards that had not been put away.

When they led Roland to open the tent, he smelled a faint scent of grass.

They brought a cylindrical wooden stool for Roland to sit on, and took out a pack of oil-paper-wrapped oil cakes from faraway South Africa, and two glasses of beer that they had 'hidden'.

"My name is Bodelli."

The head on the left said.

"My name is Bodaipon."

The head on the right said.

They are connected together and share the same body, so who is responsible for controlling the hands and feet?

Roland was curious about this question, but was afraid it would be impolite to ask, so he bit the biscuit and let it make a crunching sound against his teeth.

"Take a sip of beer before eating it. Make it softer, little beauty." Bodaipon is more "generous" than Bodaili, and is more willing to joke. "The little dog knows such a handsome man, but she keeps him to herself. I help her so much every day."

"They said Halida is resting. Where is her tent?" Roland got to the point: "I just happen to be looking for her for something."

Bodepon did not answer, but asked Roland what he wanted from Halida.

"I need a maid."

Roland said.

"I want to hire someone I know, isn't that Halida?"

Bodaipon raised her wine glass and laughed, her voice as strong and powerful as her thick body: "How can you ask someone who can't even speak clearly to be a maid? 'First first first sir'? You have to have enough patience."

Roland frowned slightly: "It seems that our conversation has to end here."

Bodelli glared at the head next to her, then apologized to Roland softly.

"Excuse me, sir, but my sisters are always like this." She introduced them to Roland: "I am Baudelaire, the elder sister, who is also able to read and write to you. This is Baudelaire, the younger sister."

After Bodaili finished speaking, she asked Roland, "You and Halida have a good relationship, right?"

"I invited her before," Roland nodded, "but she was worried about her brother, and she wanted to... I don't know, repay a favor? To Mr. Mason Lyle. I hope I can convince her today. Really, the weather is getting warmer, and I'm afraid the circus will leave London soon."

“I hope to keep this good friend by my side.”

"If it costs me something, I will do my best to satisfy Mr. Lyle - perhaps I should write to you first?"

Bodaipon began to laugh again.

This time, her sister didn't stop her.

"That peacock? Haha! My little beauty, you are totally wrong! That peacock with a sharp beak and who only cares about its feathers is not a good thing! If you are really capable, you should be like a robber! Just snatch Halida away!"

Roland put down the pancake and dusted his hands: "So, what happened to Halida?"

Bodaipon was silent.

Her sister looked at Roland's clothes and hesitated, "...She's missing."

"What?" Roland narrowed his eyes: "No reason?"

"Of course." Seeing that her sister was about to interrupt again, Bodaili picked up a piece of fried dough and stuffed it into the mouth of the head next to her. Then, she looked at Roland as if nothing had happened: "Just half a month ago, her brother disappeared first. Then, she disappeared too."

"Mr. Lyle said that a group of robbers kidnapped her and her brother." Bodaili told Roland that the incident had caused a big stir and everyone in the circus was in a panic. If Halida hadn't mentioned Roland and Taylor and said a lot of good things about him, the two sisters wouldn't have taken the risk of writing to Roland.

If they got into trouble and word got to Mr. Lyle, they would be in big trouble.

You might even end up going to jail.

"We are 'monsters' who are not even human beings." Bodelli said sadly with a calm face: "If you make a scene and get angry here, we will have a hard time... but now it seems that Halida is right."

Bodaipon spat out the biscuit crumbs, picked up the small wooden barrel of beer beside him and took a sip while laughing, and even gave the beer with the dregs floating in it to his sister to drink.

got rejected.

"She often strokes that big gold pound! I read it right, it's a five-pound coin, right? You are really rich!" Bodaipon wiped his mouth and rolled his eyes: "You don't seem to be afraid of the curse on us at all."

Roland shrugged: "Let's see whether you will go blind first or I will grow a second head first."

Bodaipon laughed and clapped his hands!
"I like her! Sister!"

Bodaili just turned her head quietly, glanced at her sister, and quickly calmed her down.

It seems that the younger sister is afraid of the older sister.

"We took the risk to write to you, not because we have a good relationship with Halida. Sir, I have to tell you the truth - Halida helped us before. Just last year, my sister and I were almost sold to Noti Golden Lamp."

"She took out the money she had saved for many years and 'convinced' Mr. Mason Lyle."

After that, the situation improved and the matter was never mentioned again.

The two sisters did not have any deep feelings for Halida, but were grateful for her help.

"If we reach the Noti Golden Lamp..." Bodelli lowered her eyes: "We will have to serve those gentlemen with 'unique hobbies'... I'm afraid we won't live long."

Bodaipon disagreed: "We wouldn't have lived long anyway."

"Her brother is missing, and she is missing too. Although Mr. Mason Lyle blamed the robbers, we all discussed privately..." Bodaili lowered her voice: "Maybe she sold her brother first, and then sold her sister..."

Roland thought the second half of the sentence was possible.

The one in front?
"In my opinion, Halida's brother can create more value in the circus."

Bodaipon nodded. "You are right. That is why we came to you. Little golden-eyed beauty, I have already told you what happened. Don't tell anyone about us. No matter what happens next, it has nothing to do with us."

"Of course. No matter what, you all helped Halida." Roland thanked her and stood up. He took out some coins from his pocket and piled them on the scattered poker cards. "I have nothing to do with you either. I think these things are the best compensation for a relationship without any relationship, right?"

Bodaipon wanted to reach out his hand, but Bodaili patted the back of his hand.

She didn't touch the coin, but just looked at Roland quietly, and asked carefully: "...You, are you still in need of a servant?"

The elder sister said this, but the younger sister glanced at her mockingly.

She knew her sister's "ambition" and was not willing to spend her short life in a circus, performing for those gentlemen and ladies.

However, no normal person would keep a two-headed monster in their home.

Once it gets out, it becomes a little hobby that people will talk about with relish.

Roland leaned over and tapped the coins, then picked up his cane.

"Perhaps, we can discuss this issue after I find Halida."

"Good-bye, Mademoiselle Poltergeist."

He drew aside the curtain, leaving behind the chattering of the two sisters.

'Did you hear that, sister! He called me 'Miss'! He called me 'Miss'!'

'Sir, you're just being polite.'

'Maybe I really do look like a 'lady'...'
